Is this carburetor good for a street strip and daily driver? I'm thinking of swaping my foxbody 5.0 with a carburator and I was wondering about this carb? Any advice?
In term of street-ability, -- Think throttle response and tunability --- this carb is really good / easy. In terms of absolute power, maybe slightly down from a Holly. I highly suggest a spacer. I am running a 4 hole, 1 inch spacer. Your combo may prefer something different depending on the intake manifold you will run. A wideband will be your best friend for tuning,
Oh God did you do it? I converter my foxbody 5.0 engine to carb with a wiend intake and edelbrock 600. It has not been a fun or easy job but I still have hope. Wish I would have stayed efi because now I have much worse gas mileage and have to buy non ethanol gas so it is costing A LOT more per mile.
Newsflash: if you break the screw off for the cap, you'll have to drill it and Tap it. It's bullshit, I don't recommend. Took all day. Let my trauma be a lesson for you.

Why should i not double up on springs?? My vacuum is 20 and the 8 springs aren't clearing up the issue. I was about to try doubling up the 5s
