Thank you!!!!!! Confuse-A-Cat is one of my favorite bits, and I was sad I couldn't see it!!!! Dawn.....you're the best! Really, really, really love your channel! You're a great spirit and you have a great family! I'm so excited to see this now! :D
Hey Dawn, i hope your neighbours know you have a RUclips channel?... I've got visions of them wondering what you're doing for an hour, after closing your bedroom curtains in the middle of the day, and all they can hear is you laughing out loud every now and then. 😂😂😂
I HIGHLY recommend "How to Irritate People", it's a sort of Monty Python prototype, it has all the original cast, and a few extra. I think you might like it.
Fun Facts: the bit with the cop saying "Whatever did I give the wife?!" was supposed to end with a cut to a spun out wife saying "I don't know but it was *better* than a sandwich!" Years ago when I was a door to door canvasser, I got bored and decided to do the burglar sketch at the next house I went to. I knocked on the door twice, calling out the word "BURGLAR!". The lady of the house came to the door and asked what I wanted. I politely informed her that I was a burglar and have come to rob her house... She *unlocked* the door, *opened* it and asked if I was for real!
I was travelling through Bavaria and took a massive detour to visit Ulm purely because of the "Johann Gambolputty.... Of Ulm" sketch 🤣 It's got a very impressive cathedral
At Cambridge where John Cleese and Graham Chapman attended, actors in the Footlights took pride in being able to memorise very long speeches. The "Johann Gambolputty" sketch was them having some fun with this.
Fact: for Episode 6, the "Dull Life of a City Stockbroker" segment was edited prior to being shown on American television in 1974 and the topless female news agent (played by Sheila Sands) was edited/removed in some USA broadcast locations. However, the nude news agent scene was shown completed unedited once on the PBS channel on WKET (Kentucky Educational Television) in the mid 1970's (the Monty Python Flying Circus episodes were usually broadcast after 9:00PM).... much to the delight of a 13-year-old viewer who saw this particular scene.
I love how much you are enjoying Monty Python. They have been a part of my entertainment life since an age probably far too young to get their epic weirdness and borderline adult humor. As a kid I saw clips from The Holy Grail on a show called Night Flight which used them as commercial bumpers. The Green Night, the Taunting Frenchman, the Bridge of Death were etched into my brain and I had to see more. In my teens I finally got to see the entire movie. Little by little I saw the other movies on cable and finally the show. I know your joy because I felt the same. For whatever reason I love absurd humor. I love unconventional wordplay and bizarre imagery. And what makes Python so amazing is that it's not absurd for the sake of absurd. It's clever on a level that most straight humor can never achieve. I'm being rambly because Monty Python is just so good I can't help but gush. Please continue through the entire run and seek out some of the live performances like The Policemans Secret Ball and I think one is Calle Live At The Hollywood Bowl. There are also Reunion Specials. I think they are on Netflix. Can't wait until you do Fawlty Towers. John Cleese is a legend.
Terry Gilliam is the animator for the group. He was King Arthur's horse in Holy Grail. He has become a great director as well. He directed much of the Python films. I would also reccomend Time Bandits and Brazil.
It's! These are very, very Mont Pythony type things. I admit I have on occasion confused a cat, but it is avery delicate operation to do so without pissing it off. It's an absolute joy to see how much you appreciate these episodes!
As for the chinstrap on the helmet....the reigning theory is that if a baddie pulls your helmet backwards and the strap is under your chin, he can strangle you. If its above the chin you might get a chipped tooth or broken nose, but you'll live.
Ah, perfect timing. I just held a 3-hour stream, and here's your beautiful smile. You just smiling somehow puts a smile on my face -- every single time. 😁
Many moons ago I did a one man band version of Crunchy Frog.for a theater class I was in. Showed up with a box of chocolates and warning labels (Warning Lark's Vomit, Raw Unboned Real Dead Frog). On the one hand I think I got in trouble for having a prop, on the other hand everyone liked the chocolates.
The intros and outros were always different. One episode, they ran the opening credits, and immediately ran the end credits. Once they didn't run the intro until half way through the show. The BBC wouldn't let them do their best idea, of continously and slowly lowering the volume of an episode. The idea being you'd have to keep getting up to turn up the volume on your TV. Then, once the volume of the episode was completely muted, and the tv's were all the way up, they'd turn up the volume all the way, very quickly.
the more i watch confuse a cat, the more it makes sense, i think watching python from the start has made me the well rounded person i am , and able to cope with any thing now , any problems i have are quite insignificant when remembering any of the sketches . a bit of a life lesson
I'm glad to see someone nowadays who get's the silliness of Python! It's not something that needs analyzing, it's.......... lol. I think you need to watch Fawlty Towers next. John Cleese is hilarious in it!
I wonder if you watch the credits.. In the last couple of episodes, you will see a name that you will probably recognize (hint: He also co-wrote some of the Season 17 episodes of classic Doctor Who).
I once thoroughly confused my parents' cat by marching in place. She could not for the life of her figure out what I was doing and seemed to get increasingly concerned for my health.
Confuse-a-Cat 🤣 Sadly they decided to do 'Life of Brian' rather than follow up with their 'Dumbfound-a-Dog' sketch, which remains one of their unmade classics to this day...
I love reaction videos, but this white noise humming wind sound is hard. Trying to decrease it would do wonders for the enjoyment of viewers... You could try to fix this either by changing location a bit, or getting a better mic setup, or getting some noise reducing panels... maybe seeming negative, but I love your content, but it's hard to because of the background noise :/. anyways, keep up the good content
Don’t be silly it’s not negative! And I appreciate all feedback. So weird you saying this because we’ve started to notice the same and have been looking into what we can do to improve the sound 😁 all going well it will be much better very soon!
Hey everyone! Finally managed to get it re-uploaded. Hope you enjoy 😁
Thank you!!!!!! Confuse-A-Cat is one of my favorite bits, and I was sad I couldn't see it!!!! Dawn.....you're the best! Really, really, really love your channel! You're a great spirit and you have a great family! I'm so excited to see this now! :D
Thank you Monty Python for bringing (the stunning & funny) Dawn Marie into my life 😆 ... loving your reactions Dawn

I was about to say that there’s no way this could be your first time watching it.

My friends and I still do that sketch when visiting each other some thirty years after first seeing it.
I was travelling through Bavaria and took a massive detour to visit Ulm purely because of the "Johann Gambolputty.... Of Ulm" sketch 🤣
It's got a very impressive cathedral
Your love and excitement for Monty Python is adorable and inspiring, makes me love them all over again :) thanks Dawn.
At Cambridge where John Cleese and Graham Chapman attended, actors in the Footlights took pride in being able to memorise very long speeches. The "Johann Gambolputty" sketch was them having some fun with this.
Already seen this, but I ain't gonna cry about re-watching some MPFC. I never have, the 227 previous times.
2:58 I love how he's "not" going to Switzerland but his bag sticker says Zurich.
The drug planting police sketch was cut by the BBC, as a shot of the wife with drugs was cut out.
Terry Jones' final role was that of Mr. Toad in his Wind in the Willows adaptation.

The interview sketch just kills me. We quoted this so much as kids.
Crunchy frog and Confuse-A-Cat! Happy to finally see this, thanks so much Dawn!
Bewilder-beest was a life-saver for me!
I saw the original post but gave this a Like anyway to help you out and because more people should watch Monty Python.
I can't wait for "the Cycling Tour"
One of my favourites, too. Great choice.
My bicycle pump got caught on my trouser leg!
ive tried to watch that all the way through but its just boring compared to other python episodes.
Maybe im just too impatient.

"I could just keep watching these, over and over and over and over"
She says, as I rewatch the reupload
Terry Gilliam is the animator for the group. He was King Arthur's horse in Holy Grail. He has become a great director as well. He directed much of the Python films. I would also reccomend Time Bandits and Brazil.
Goooooood aniiiiiiiiiiight adingdingdingdingding
I love the penguin on the pogo stick and old ladies clapping.

"it is a very delicate operation" That's why you should call in professsionals.
It's a struggle these days getting regular work as a professional cat confuser in these troubled covid times.
I can never get enough of Monty Python
Your laugh is contagious.
I don't know if anyone else has suggested "Yellow Beard".
Have a fantastic weekend and keep laughing!
The job interview is one of my favourites of all time.
I'm forever grateful to Python as I was once attacked by a woman with a banana.
...
really?
Presumably you simply released the tiger and then disarmed her by eating the banana.
@@CommissionerSleer Depends if they had a gun or not. Or a 16-Ton weight. ...or a pointed stick XD
Wait 'til someone comes at you with loganberries.
did you shoot her? 🤪😁
You should see the Hollywood Bowl version of Crunchy Frog sketch. Terry Gilliam playing the sick bobby is hilarious!
As for the chinstrap on the helmet....the reigning theory is that if a baddie pulls your helmet backwards and the strap is under your chin, he can strangle you. If its above the chin you might get a chipped tooth or broken nose, but you'll live.
Yup. Helmets from the days before automatic weapons. With single shot rifles you can’t always stop the enemy from closing to hand to hand range.
The fact that fly was there made it unintentionally funny as heck.
Binge watching videos hmmnn can relate. Espcially with such a wonderful host to present it. 😎😘
As an old f#ck of 51yo, I'm glad to see a younger generation discovering, enjoying and "getting it". The humor is timeless. 🤔🤣
Ah, perfect timing. I just held a 3-hour stream, and here's your beautiful smile. You just smiling somehow puts a smile on my face -- every single time. 😁
So nice to see you again Miss Dawn Marie💗 great reaction btw! Hugs and have a great day!!! #LoveYourVoice #GorgeousLady
“Well, speaking as a man in the street…” 🚘 💥
😆

If you enjoy Monty Python, try watching Monty Python Live At The Hollywood Bowl, performed in front or a live american audience. Brilliant!
the more i watch confuse a cat, the more it makes sense, i think watching python from the start has made me the well rounded person i am , and able to cope with any thing now , any problems i have are quite insignificant when remembering any of the sketches . a bit of a life lesson
Love the music at the end of your show!
Well done Dawn very nice bonus :)
12:40 is one of their best "call back" jokes.
I'm glad to see someone nowadays who get's the silliness of Python! It's not something that needs analyzing, it's.......... lol. I think you need to watch Fawlty Towers next. John Cleese is hilarious in it!
and Manuel is like his Michael Palin in that series
You missed a perfect opportunity to sign off on message - "Good-a-night a-ding-ding-ding-ding!" Oh well...
Think I'll watch the Confuse-a-Cat sketch with my cat tonight...
I am convinced that upon each viewing of Confuse-a-Cat, the viewers sanity erodes measurably
Movie react to "Bubble Boy"... a boy stuck in a literal bubble all his life like we all are now in this crazy pandemic.
Another good movie with this crew is Fierce Creatures.
Wonderful, just wonderful.
Cheers 🍺
Thanks!
Thanks Dawn!!!!

who your parents or the cat, Nudge Nudge Wink Wink, say na more, , say na more
Dawn, I've got just one thing to say to you in light of this video. And that thing is....
Gooooooood-a niiiiiiiight a ding ding ding ding ding ding
I Have Always Loved The Joke About If Anyone Saw This Crime , Women With Big Breasts Or Anyone That Likes Policemen :):)
🤣
I agree Michael Palin and John Cleese make a great team
Confuse-a-Cat 🤣
Sadly they decided to do 'Life of Brian' rather than follow up with their 'Dumbfound-a-Dog' sketch, which remains one of their unmade classics to this day...
Dawn Marie -
A short bit from that Kevin Kline reunion/interview:

Episode 5 is probably my overall favorite.
I saw the topless shop assistant and hit the subscribe button. But then got confused because it didn’t seem to do anything. Oh well…
these was so funny to watch
and l hope you get a good lungh from them as well
you are so well come
Confuse a cat my fav
Little darlen, some one in Texas luvs ya.
Policeman's helmet strap is still on the chin so criminals can't choke them from behind.
Great tv series 🏆
Bewilderebeest Inc.
Hope you watch FAWLTY TOWERS next!
Did you do S2 ep 1 and I missed it? It's my favorite episode of the series.
There is no set way to wear a chinstrap on a police helmet, unlike the military which have traditions as to where the chinstrap is worn.
try 2 Ronnie's the worm that turned
haven't you done a video with these episodes in before ?

The full name of Johann (blah blah blah) takes roughly 17 seconds to say, if you don't mess it up.
Have you seen Kung Fury? I think that you would live it!
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Do a reaction of " all new not so great moments in sports". It's on youtube :)
