Thanks so much for filming all this, Matt. You definitely captured a lot more than I did, but of course it’s all edited together in typical tightly wound Enterprising format. Seeing all the familiar locations like the Starucca Viaduct, the Horseshoe Curve, and the Colorado Mountain in 2023 vs. 1990 is so surreal to see, especially mixed in with the more modern Lionel locomotives and rolling stock.
The fact that we all recognize this layout and come togther to see it is incredible. All because of that one show we all love. It's a wonderful kind of feeling, isn't it?
Oh man! Watching this video never gets old, Phil Klopp's layout not only amazes me but brings me so much nostalgia! I remember seeing his layout many times from the first 3 I Love Toy Trains videos and it was always one of my favorite layouts! Running trains on this layout must be a treat for sure.
I remember seeing this layout in I Love Toy Trains! Even though I model in G-Scale, I have always been fascinated by those amazing classic vintage Lionel Trains! I hope to see this layout in person one day!
So you actually got to see the layout where I Love Toy Trains was filmed? That's a flex for the entire community since most of it consists of toy trains.
Ah just seeing all of this in action just brings back all of those childhood memories. Glad you both had fun! 2:30-2:37 I think Walter Sliggs appears to be out of his element here or is he just seeking attention? 2:52-2:56 Proteus and the Thin Controller taking a moment to take it all in and appreciating a change of pace from Sodor 5:34-5:37 Walter Sliggs participating in a Swing Dance contest?! Now that's something I'd love to see.
Wow. This layout the perfect merge of toy train + realism. There is genius involved here. Where does this masterpiece exist? ................and then there's the music choices, editing and filmmaking aspect. Absolutely brilliant! You thanked us for watching, so THANKS FOR CREATING!
Thank you for the wonderful comment, Johnny. Phil is a resident in PA and kindly let my friends and I take a tour of his fantastic layout. I’m so happy you liked the editing and music. I’m a sucker for Pokémon tunes…
One of the first layout builders I got filmular with Phil Klopp, remember this magazine article, You Can't Stop Phil Klopp, I been to York three times, I always looked for him never seen him.
All those moddel trains are amazing! And the layouts are incredible. My favourite engine would have to be the little 040 tender engine. Awesome video! Hope you have a great day!
Phil Klopp is still alive? Well I never! I didn't know he was still running his trains after only over 30 years of doing it since TM Books & Video came over to his place to film it. And look it has come over in such a long way! Next thing I wouldn't expect from Thomas fans is visit Steve Scholl's MTH layout.
@@Enterprisingengine93 Yeah I have the complete collection of Great Train Layouts of America I remember Phil’s layout have 3 lines. However, you need to check out my train videos of Johnny Dawson’s layout in Kentucky and let me tell you it’s pretty sweet and I ran several of my trains on it too.
I'll admit I'm not a big fan of American steam engines. But the scenery on those layouts is stunning. The winter-themed one was easily my favorite out of them all. My mother's partner is working on his own locomotive layout. And I'm very curious about what it is going to look like when it is completed.

This reminds me of a tasty Thanksgiving meal. The sides were exquisite and the main course was delightful.
A long lost treasure of model train history and a long lost memory of my childhood has finally been found and rediscovered
Man I envy you guys, his layout was one of my favorites from ILTT/GTTLOA

One of the most impressive layouts I've ever seen. It's so full of life and charm.
His Strucca viaduct, incredible.
This layout is amazing
No one can’t stop Phil and his fascination with Model Railroads, he is the true legend of this masterpiece
Still remember visiting the Klopps in PA and being awed by Phil's train layout. Thank you Phil for the memory!
Popped up in recommended, this layout is a nostalgia bomb! Glad to see it's still together and resembles what many of us grew up seeing. Nice footage!
Me too!
Hey, I know that place! I know those people!!
Hey! It’s that guy! That films those trainz!
Hey it’s that guy who films on trainz and that guy who films those wooden trainz videos!

Oh yes! I Love Toy Trains! I really want to see Phil’s layout one day.
I would imagine the layout is worth more than the house 🏠.
Hold the phone! Didn’t Phil’s Horseshoe Curve section of his layout had 3 tracks like the prototype?
Yeah! I think he might’ve changed it at some point because that’s what I thought too
