I think the worst part of the first ending is that if the mimic is really copying how people do certain actions, that means that the mimic is going to be driving the way that the character we play as was driving, which means we have a second douchebag on the road driving in the middle of both lanes.
"Dad was right" implies his dad never trusted Afton or Henry. He probably either had them try to pull the same things on him or he sensed they were corrupted from the start.
Maybe that's why they waited until Edwin senior passed away? Cause since Edwin was much younger and NOT a business man Fazbear Entertainment, as well as William and Henry took the chance to ruin him and wipe everything clean
My purple GOAT’s still got it!🐐 Add another few lives ruined to the score sheet for Big Willy! Been ruining lives since the 70’s, that’s consistency right there!
@Hammer316I just can't believe Henry agree with this I guess Henry wasn't a good person or a victim at all their both do dirty from the start but I'm not sure why willam murder children even Henry child??? Was he not satisfied it's crazy
*I JUST REALIZED SOMETHING:* The reason we see Monty, Roxy, Music Man and Sun/Moon (all characters from Murray) in security breach is because *the one in charge of the whole pizzaplex is F10-N4*
Henry: why does everything that my and William's company owns always manages to blow up? William: *made a contract with other worldly forces that had "blow up establishments randomly and consistently" clauses in the fine print.* hmm, I don't know.
@@draketurtle4169So what, we got two electrical fires (Though one was probably intentional from Michael) with 3 and SB, one case of actual arson with Pizza Sim, and whatever you'd classify a melter leak as in SotM. Oh, and Molten Freddy being, well, molten likely means the SL bunker ALSO caught fire, and the Fall Fest fire as well. Lots of fires in this franchise, huh.
In the scene where M2 grabs the data diver and walks away, I didn't take it as "adding it to itself," but I thought it was holding it close to its chest because it knew it was M1 or F10-N4 or "Mommy."
No thats just because David signature "pose" was holding the tiger plushy close to his chest as we see in the third ending. Its why he holds the data diver like that and its why his base model in SB is doing the exact same pose.
which is truly sad cz we forgot to see from Edwin's pov who lost EVERYTHING cz of the job that at some point he doesn't even want💀and he NEEDS to work so the business can keep going and income can come in. But in the process, he neglected the child and the mimic copied everything from the neglect to the violence😭😭😭
Yes!! The line where dispatch tells us that the mimic is only violent BECAUSE IT COPIES BEHAVIOR IT HAS SEEN. If Edwin hadn't lashed out, the mimic wouldn't have known to do that.
I think it's worth pointing out that the 3rd ending where the mimic is repaired requires the tiger rock plush, which you only get on a second playthrough. You have to get one of the other endings first. Which tells me that that ending isn't canon. It's more of a what if, nice happy ending type thing
I think the credits show that the easy ending is canon, and I think the future shows that the secret ending is not possible because I think F10-NA has to aquire the schematics to make the mimic we see in future. (and maybe upload it to the pizza plex endos)

Afton steals Edwin’s work and house (and kid) He finds mimic David in its boarded up room of the house and begins experimenting on it (FNAF4) trying to recreate Edwin’s magic in hopes of finding immortality. David now believing his name to be Gregory (explains why he sounds confused “I’m Gregory?”) escapes to the upper pizzaplex. Edwin isn’t dead. The SB cryptic code wall is written by Edwin. (Triangle shapes, sun clock, 70s decor) it serves as direct instructions to Gregory/David only a robot could read to destroy Fazbear Ent as revenge for ruining his life. In the Cassie mimic chase, Gregory says “my friend (name intentionally redacted) has the blueprints “ and can help guide her. Edwin. Steel wool is setting up a father/son redemption arc to close out the series. A fitting end to a tragic story. Also we get a Robo vs Robo fight!
Just saying this game gave us a chronological timeline for the Murray Family along with voices for each member and a clear understanding and explanation for what happened to each member of the family meanwhile it’s been a WHOLE DECADE and we still know dick about the Afton Family and before you ask I’m not complaining about that it’s just really funny to think about and honestly now I wish we get a game like this one but for the Afton Family
@@RyeToast Like it’s funny too because going into this game Rye, you and all of us were expecting some lore on the Murray’s but we got ALL THE LORE and again it’s so funny when meanwhile the Afton Family aka the most important family in the entire franchise still has massive chunks of unknown information about them again hopefully we either DLC for SOTM or a completely separate game that dives head first into explaining the Afton’s to the same level as this game did for the Murray’s
It doesn't seem like they plan to end the franchise anytime soon, so I'd say revisiting old stories in order to expand them is not out of the question. I hope it happens some day.
No you're on to something here its hilarious that we can get so much lore about the Murray family but we can't even get confirmation that crying child and FoxyBro are related to William
I'm thinking Tiger Rock is the ghost of David and what Edwin was missing to correctly build David's mimic. Tiger works similarly to ghost entities we've seen in other games (notably hallucinations) and you can hear manipulated recordings of David coming out of Tiger, just as we heard Fiona manipulate her recordings to talk to Edwin. And the ending where you successfully "stun" and "fix" the mimic into being David needs the Tiger plushie, which probably works as an anchor for David's ghost. The mimic acting confused is the possession taking place.
I like this, I don’t think it being confused is the possession necessarily. It’s being told to be David, it can let go of the anger, fions who has been missing as its parent figure is finally back, it doesn’t have to be Edwin anymore but without the violence to mimic it has nothing. The possession seems to happen once the data device is put in, fiona gives a piece of her “complete” software. It’s like the glitchtrap is on the hardware idea but instead of a murder psycho it’s a mother and fathers United love for their child and forgiveness.
Plus, in the novels SPOILERS Charlie's ghost is actually attached to a doll Henry placed inside the robots, not the robots themselves, which is why when Baby rips it out of Charlie she "dies".
The more and more I think about this game the more I appreciate it. The characterization of everyone was just perfect and it feels like they finally understand exactly what they want to do with the story and how to make everything they added back in Security Breach finally make sense.
@@RyeToast the one thing I don't like is the implication that henry was on board with betraying his long term friend also people seem to forget why edwins employees left they weren't getting paid that well and were being replaced with automation
@@Lumberjack_kingHeavily agree, I would be okay with Henry being "swept along" and too cowardly to speak up but I think making him just fine with it destroys a lot of his characters charme for me

This gives him a character arc of someone who started off as an enabler and cohort to William's schemes who then realizes the error of his ways after a giant reality check through the death of Charlie. That's why he started monologuing about the "monster that he helped create" in FNaF 6.
When F10-N4 starts threatening you after you run parachute.exe, there's a few lines in the middle of her threats where she wonders aloud what suit M2 will pick to shove you in when it kills you. She names various character costumes and implies that M2 intentionally selects a suit specific to the personality traits of its victims, associated with who they are "deep down inside," like a worker bee or a loyal dog (and we do find the corpses of engineers from the prior search teams in those specific suits, among others) And obviously, from the "bad ending" we know M2 picks proto-Freddy! I wonder what that says about Arnie?
If we look at the original Freddy from FNAF 1, he seemed to enjoy lurking in the shadows. You could only ever see it's beady glowing eyes, or the glow of its face when you run out of power. Arnold spends a majority of the game skulking around, avoiding being spotted, and wearing springlock suits. So maybe M2 assigned that to Freddy/Fredbear. Or it's just cuz it's Five Nights at *Freddy's*, so it has to be Freddy. Maybe I'm drawing parallels that aren't there. But that's how my brain connects the dots.
@@a.z.pantera5577 I think the most obvious answer is that Arnie was the only one who managed to collect all of the permissions for M1 and so M2 allowed him to be the star of the show.
If Fazbear entertainment originally was Afton and Henry’s venture, and Afton’s main suit is Spring Bonnie, then Henry’s could be Yellow/Golden Freddy. Maybe Arnold reminds the Mimic of Henry.
The storybook ending and the line, “Anger doesn’t solve anything,” is the point that hit home for me about the entire lore of The Mimic. Also, we never find out-who walled up The Mimic under the Pizzaplex? I can’t wait to find out.
Wasn’t it Vanessa and Gregory? I thought they did, perhaps they discovered F10N4 and somehow made a deal to use her as a vessel to trap the Mimic 🤷♂️ If that is the case, that means the princess quest ending was the true one where Gregory frees Vanessa.
@AutoChairman Yeah, in the epilogues it mentions that they were using it to tear apart animatronics in the FNAF 6 location underneath the pizzaplex, but it began tearing apart the workers until one of them sealed it away I think with cement and then a group of teenagers end up inside and Lucia, the only survivor, traps sit in a springlock suit before escaping,
A sad thing your comment made me think about is that (based from the moon game) after m2 had it's legs ripped off by edwin, he locked it up in it's bedroom and never let it out again. It was scared and wanted to escape the room, which it eventually managed and it made itself a new pair of legs. However if m2 is the same mimic that's locked up in ruin, then m2 got locked up in an unescapeble room AGAIN (for who knows how long). The tiger escaped the cage only to be locked up in another one :(
All characters in that story are all present in the prototype pizzeria either as an animatronic or springlock suit, thought I'd point that out because a lot of people have missed that
I don't think Henry had any bad intentions or motives, as shown by every version William is a very charismatic person so he probably manipulated Henry to go along with it, and he only realized the mistake after it was too late. Which adds more weight to his FNAF 6 speech he not only feels responsible for not stopping Williams murders but also having a hand to play in a kind mans death
Yeah. I haven’t found every single Mail yet, but the ones I did find only say W.A, and no mention of Henry. Rye does say Henry also duped Edwin, but I’m a bit hesitant to believe that right off the bat. He also posted screenshots of the mail that name drops William, but nothing for Henry… Surely my boy Henry isn’t a bad person
15:12 this biggest issue in my opinion with the whole “fiona possessed m1” theory is that m1 seems to care for edwin to an extent, but is also very manipulative and at times even apathetic to edwin’s feelings and distress, which is very out of character for fiona, someone who seemed like the moral backbone of edwin’s entire company and seemed to be very kind and care deeply.
Steel Wool Studio and Scott properly working together is exactly what this franchise needed! Secret of the Mimic is pretty straight forward with its narrative, plenty of new lore implications AND has quite possibly the best gameplay in the entire franchise. FNAF fans are eating good and hopefully the next game can bring Fall Fest into the equation lol
It's baffling to me personally how many years It took Scott to figure out that actually talking to the people adapting his story is the right thing to do (???) but I'm Just glad he finally did it
I don't think that Fiona is haunting F10-N4. Mainly because F10-N4/M1 isolates Edwin while Fiona did try and get him to express himself more. But also, if M1 is just someone who is mimicking Fiona, that would explain all of the family imagery you find in Security Breach. M1 is someone who wants a family but doesn't necessarily understand it, while M2 is violence and rage.
It's not a "haunting." Edwin uploaded her consciousness into the computer (M1 initially). It's unclear if she passed at Fall Fest or if she left him at some point in the story. All Edwin says is that she's "gone" ... whatever that means
@@ravengyalthe statue of Edwin and Fiona has the Fiona burned and a globe referencing fall fest where the fire happened. I really do feel bad for Edwin. His father died before he was ready to take on the company and right when he thinks he can turn it all around, Fazbear pulls the rug right out from under him. He seemed like such a nice guy too.
I was confused why characters like Roxy, Monty, Sun, and Moon were here since they didn't exist until Security Breach, which is like 50 something years later. But then I realised that both were characters created by Edwin's company that decades later would be resurfaced by Fazbear Entertainment. That explains why Chica and Foxy are here too. Chica's design was a commission piece made for Afton and Henry, and Foxy was (along with Roxy and Monty) a stolen character that Fazbear would reuse later. Which is also why there's no iconography of Freddy and Bonnie within the factory itself, since their designs were original to Fazbear Entertainment.
Also William and Henry probably didn't made the other characters because they are either too ugly (moon is hella ugly lol) or bland. They most likely took chica though because she is more popular/profitable than the others.
Most likely fazbear wanted to spice up the cast without much work so they used characters they had and in turned redesigned them. Also in real life companies will own characters they will never use so it makes sense they weren't used for 50 years

Henry and Edwins friendship? with the HW2 showing puppet as possibly the last one killed, maybe we interpreted this line wrong? William ruined Edwins business, and in the process Edwin and Henry's relationship because Afton made it seem like Fazbear as a team was destroying MCM. Just a theory
Something I felt the need to point out that nobody else has yet is the fact that Edwin’s Springlock suit seems to be much better then FazBear’s FazBear’s lock up at so much as a child’s tears while Arnold survived a massive fall completely unharmed So if Edwin DID discover and use remnant, chances are his experiments with it would be much more successful then William’s, who relied and Henry’s skills and Edwin’s inventions for his entire carrier
There is a note that specifies that Edwin sent faulty versions of the suits with the note to remind Henry of the water damage. And if the ending with the factory burning down is the canon one it would make sense that Fazbear never finds the proper version’s blueprints and just builds on the faulty ones.
Nope there's nothing saying that, those are the same springlock costumes as always, they are still the same ones that can be damaged by water, still Henry's designs.
I think there might be some slight retconning going on with how unreliable the springlocks actually are. In FNAF 3 the overly dangerous way Phone Guy describes them was definitely Scott, not only foreshadowing how Springtrap came to be, but also the same morbid humor as the company greeting from the first game. It supposed to sound incredibly dangerous and make Fazbear seem even more absurdly uncaring for its workers. But I think Scott and Steelwool realised that it really is stretching the suspension of disbelief. It seems now that the internal springlocks need to be directly disturbed with more considerable force or suffer water damage to actually fail. Need I remind you that the Springbonnie suit tanked a bullet in the movie and the locks were fine? It was only when the Cupcake chewed threw it and got to the internal mechanism that they failed. As for Follow Me, the suit was rotton an damp. It's no wonder that just laughing was enough to screw William over.
@@Mr_MagolorI wouldn’t be shocked if Edwin’s lack of relevance until now is what the “Indie Game Retcon” was about. Obviously FazBear wouldn’t want people to know most of their IP was technically stolen property, so it makes sense any reference to MCM was completely wiped from the approved version of events
I pointed that out to my brother. Nurse Dolly said Captain Springlock suffered a springlock failure but the player was unharmed by it. maybe Henry and William stole the idea of springlock suits without an official design to go off of. I have pretty much no evidence for this but it’s neat to think about.
Rye, when the party happened, David was already dead and Edwin was crashing out. He says "everybody hide" but there is no one there. In one of the logs, they warn the employees that David's party which was scheduled for Saturday had been cancelled due to the tragic events. The same email says they shouldn't even go to the conference room where the party would take place. Edwin threw a fake party for his dead son. He was talking to nobody. Only Edwin and F10N4 were present. Him saying he left David in the playground was him going insane and coping for David's death.
im not sure thats entirely accurate from the way i interpreted it, the employee party wouldve been the day after the party with "fiona" because he cant have both the mimic and his staff there at the same time. david died on his party day where presumably only edwin, david, and the mimic where at the factory (probably weekend or smth) and then they cancelled the employee party right after
i belive its like the movie frankenweenie, where victor wonders why he could revive his dog but couldnt revive the fish. his science teacher says to him: "then maybe you didnt understand it the first time, the first time did you love your experiment?" yes said victor, and the second time? the teacher asked, victor said no, then you changed the variables answered the teacher.
Well, as of recently we've learned that fnaf's supernatural elements are heavily influenced by emotion or specifically Negative emotions in which is called "Agony".
So I have a little theory: Edwin burned Fallfest. We know for almost certain that Fiona died in the fallfest fire, but I noticed that Edwin wasn’t mad at her going so much as guilty. Specifically, the words “you weren’t supposed to be there” made me think. We know he was making some floats, and that some were for Fazbear. Additionally, they’re all very dangerous. Specially, the firecracker. So what if, in his hatred for Fazbear, he accepted a deal to make some floats? It wasn’t part of the main deal, just a little job, maybe to “jog his creative senses”. And Edwin, who already caught on to what they were doing, and had an idea: he would make the floats, and use them to destroy Fazbear. However Fiona, in her kindness, went to go help out, maybe even to help set up the floats Edwin made? And then the lever is pulled, the sparks fly, and everything goes up in flames. She wasn’t supposed to be there, she was supposed to be with Edwin.
When fall fest was happening he didnt have this explicit hate for fazbear, also fiona clearly told him she will go there because she feels she needs to be there to help.
Not a bad idea, though considering how he still falls for it a good while after the Fall fest, he at least shouldn’t know the plan unless he’s really just THAT paranoid based on his dads warnings, which he doesn’t seem to be. He’d have to have some other reason and… well the best I can guess is something about William. And Henry too I suppose.
The writing in this game is some of the best we ever had in the series. The more you get to learn about Edwin and Fiona's relationship, the more you can relate to the characters and really feel for them and everything that happened. Never expected a fnaf game to make me feel this emotional about something but could be because I am a father myself. Steel Wool and Scott really knocked it out of the pack with this one and this is what personally wanted for modern Fnaf. Amazing video! Really can't wait til you talk about Tiger Rock in the basement, because that thing is so curious... Even Moon.... Feels like there is supernatural stuff again and I am loving it!
A lot of people are stepping up to defend Henry, and while I agree, I'd like to offer a moderate idea between him being guilty and him being unaware-Henry was complicit in what happened to Edwin, but not a perpetrator of it. Think about it. The few times Henry is directly mentioned are about how he is backing out of using the springlock suits despite him and Edwin having used them in the past. This matches up with everything else Fazbear is doing-they're suddenly changing plans on Edwin in an attempt to drive him further into debt and desperation. Which means Henry was complicit in that, to a much lesser extent than William and the rest of the company. But widening perspective and looking at how Henry has been characterized in the past got me thinking. Think about his main line in the insanity ending of FNAF 6: "A wound first inflicted on me, but one that I let bleed out into all of this." I think that sums up Henry's narrative role for really everything. He is someone who's biggest crime has always been doing nothing at all. He is someone who's very silence makes him somewhat of an enabler to the truly evil Afton. It's what makes his story in FNAF 6 so compelling-he's not just putting a stop to things, he's also finally standing up to William and sending him to hell after so many years of doing nothing. So it makes sense if that started here. If Henry was aware of what William was doing to his friend Edwin, but due to a mixture of a) William's power over him, being his boss, b) William's manipulation, and c) Henry's desire to look after Charlie, Henry didn't do anything. He was complicit, but regretfully so. Who knows, maybe this is the "wound first inflicted", as some have theorized that this was the cause of the rift between Henry and William that led to Charlie's death.
I have a theory that Afton was secretly working behind both Edwin's and Henry's backs, causing their friendship to crumble, and is trying to establish his and Henry's company at the top of the money and creation pyramid.
Yeah I truly believe Henry never had bad intentions with Edwin, seeing as they were both engineers. William did all the day to day, record keeping and more than likely bookings and contracts. I think Edwin thought it was both of them since he said “they don’t see me as a friend anymore” but I truly think it was Afton pulling all the strings and Henry was completely unaware.
@@erickamakeeaina1649 Yeah but then Edwin’s not exactly doing the best mentally around this time, seeming really paranoid and firing anyone who speaks up against him. So we should probably take his perspective with a grain of salt. It wouldn’t surprise me if he eventually came to that conclusion even if Henry had nothing to do with what William was doing.
@@thepixelman4776Because we never get anything saying he's wrong. It's made clear in the audio and emails that Fazbear was in fact stealing from him so he was right on the money with that. It's just Occam's razor I think that he's telling the truth about it being William and Henry.
3:46 Dispatch wasn't the Mimic, Dispatch was F1O-N4 trying to get us to convince Edwin to fix M2. You never clarified that so I just wanted to clarify for you
I find it fascinating that the mimic MUST obey programming. I noticed in the big top level that when you complete the puzzle, it is forced to be big top again. It cant kill you when the lights are on and it needs to follow protocol (afaik). Idk if it means anything but i realized that as you discussed the storytime ending.
True. It's acting like the daycare attendant, where it's friendly when there's power and lights, and aggressive when it's dark/no power. If Sun turns into Moon in low power, this does not bode well for the extremely sun-coded F10-N4 going into standby mode... Does that mean it'll turn into a moon-coded 3D-W1N machine? Lol
that feels a bit far fetched. if mimic can be big top which essentially makes big top a shell or costume, how did big top operate separately from m1/m2 when the factory was still operating and running before the foreclosure?
You know I have been thinking a lot about the fnaf 1 call where phone guy says "They might think you're an endoskeleton without its costume on, and since that's against the rules at Freddy Fazbear's pizzeria" and like, the mimic wearing all the costumes when it's coming to kill you is kind of odd cause it can totally smash you up on its own. Seems like it has its own background rules, has to always be "mimicing" something even when it has largely moved on from its intended purpose to seek its own goals. Though I doubt they were thinking of that but... you know, got me thinking.
@@by_tianowenNo that's not the point. Big Top is a real machine that acts independently. What people are discussing is that when the Mimic is possessing an animatronic that has rules it seems to be forced to obey those rules. Phrased differently: It's a mimic, its job is to adapt and follow like a social chameleon, and part of that is following the natural behaviour of whatever it's possessing to some extent. It feels compelled to follow its purpose.
I wonder if Henry actually was in on Williams plan to take over/absorb MCM. William does lie and deceased people a lot so he could have done the same to Henry to go along with his (Williams) plan. I only say this because of Henry saying “A wound first inflected onto me” in his speech at the end of Pizza Simulator, referring to William ruining his friendship with Edwin (that being the start of it all). I like how SOTM explains how and why William has the secret bunker, because he stole/took it (and Edwin’s house) when Edwin died. I always found it weird how William managed to gain the funds to build an entire underground bunker, pay for bills, get robot parts, and other stuff (yes I know he is a Co-Owner of Fazbears but I don’t think he got paid that much to afford all that stuff).
The fazbear is a small franchise maybe just few locations in a single state; To a nationwide chain, pipeline is something that needs to be studied. Old lore always painted fnaf as this backwater franchise that was always a little odd and creepy. Then new lore has them being Dr Dooms with mastery of tech and magic that are also rich enough to afford bunkers, a giant mall, sister locations Original location, the sister location storage facility, chicks pizza world, fredbears, fnaf 2 location, bazbear frights (3), some fazbear affiliate makes the video games in universe and there is the location of pizza sim (Henry somehow afforded all that)
@@draketurtle4169 i actually disagree with you on the old lore thing, although you're certainly correct about how the scope has gotten a big with the mall. i wouldn't call them a nation wide chain for most of the plot, the most i could see is them having several locations across a few states. this would allow them to bring in some good cash while also being small enough that they could have their reputation kinda borked by fnaf 1's missing kids. here's everything happening at roughly the same time: fnaf 1, fnaf 4, sister location/ circus baby's pizza world renting out animatronics, the fredbear and friends tv show so assuming they had several locations, were renting out the suits, had the tv show going, and possibly took out some loans + whatever cash they had from fredbear's family diner then it makes much more sense how they could seemingly have so much extra money to burn
Theory: The entire Proto Pizzeria is a reference to the hoaxes of the classic games. The dog Springlock is a nod to Sparky, the Mimic's amalgam suit is a ref to back b4 FNAF 3 released when people thought he was a literal hybrid called Hybrid or Salvage. Also the Monty suit could be a somewhat homage back to the ol' Tater the Waiter Gator hoax as well (i mean out of all of Edwin's creations, Monty being one of the two initially considered to be part of the Fazbear cast is interesting, when Roxie wouldve been a gr8 nod to when Foxy IRL was initially considered to have been a wolf character before settling on a fox, which makes the choice here seem very deliberate to forgoe that reference in favor of keeping the hoax theme consistent.)
@AutoChairmanor the dog is a reference to fetch? Roxie and a wolf character has been a thing Scott’s done since silver eyes? Correct me if I’m wrong there. The rest is pretty solid, but I think the croc/alligator being there makes sense in regards to Monty.
@@draketurtle4169 The dog is most likely a reference to Sparky, the hoax dog that's also shown in the FNAF movie. And yeah the wolf has been a thing since Silver Eyes, but I think OP means that Scott had originally wanted to make the OG Foxy a wolf, but decided to make it a fox named Foxy instead.
The bedtime story at the end of the third ending has each character in that story in the prototype pizzeria in some form The original faz-gang was created by Fiona in some way Bub - The dog | Monty - The Crocodile | Bear - Freddy | Chicken - Chica | Fox - Foxy | Bunny - Bonnie
I'm stuck up on David's room looking SO familiar to the crying child's, because just LOOK AT IT! I'm unsure if it's just a reference thing but I can't think they'd reference something THAT vital, instead of just maybe a toy or two. Perhaps its trying to signify some connection between the two kids? More likely, the similarity between Afton and Edwin, too caught up in their work to realize their family's neglect, and then trying to fix their family, failing to. I just know that kids bedroom is going to lead to a LOT of gasps.
someone else theorised that william kidnapped david, and treated him like his own son and he IS CC, leading to him being in the fnaf 4 dreams or hallucinations
The current hypothesis I've seen is that after Edwin was out of the picture and Fazbear owned the entire property, the Aftons moved in. It's a massive workshop for animatronics with elaborate basements being heavily monitored by cameras, almost like the bunker holding Circus Baby in Sister Location, or the experimental nightmare room in 4. It's also pretty remote, so it could be a long drive away from any other location. It's also a giant lot in the middle of nowhere with a full pizzaria in the basement. You could fit an entire mall on that lot.
Even crying child, theorized, name are connected, Dave and David. Dave had Fredbear as a plush, David had that white tiger. Both their fatheres are engineer and neglectful. Both father made something out of their wife, William Afton made Ballora, and Edwin made Fiona in M-1. Both son died, both son are with someone, Dave with Cassidy and David with his mother. There's just too much connection for it to be a coincidence, I think the room being similar is intentional.

Ngl I love that FNAF has always had a constant theme of family being involved in some way. (Mostly the games.) Like even with a new studio and new content family is still a major theme between characters and I really love that.
It's POSSIBLE F10-N4 splits into Glitchtrap and M.X.E.S. After all, Glitchtrap is def a Mimic variant, and M.X.E.S. Has the same physical form box thing as F10-N4
@@EnnardisThoupersonally I still like the old (pre mimic) glitchtrap theory that it has something to do with part of the remnant of Afton being scanned into the files of the Help Wanted game. If that digital entity *merged* with a mimic? Sure.
Doubling down on this idea, it is clear that the M1 unit and M2 unit had to get to fazbears somehow, someone had to have moved them. They (Henry and William) took Edwin’s work and copied it, making Henry seem like a mechanical genius when it was actually Edwin (that’s the largest plot twist to me). If they copied Everything, why couldn’t they copy the mimic programming, creating an M3? And, even deeper, what if Ruin had 3 mimics the whole time? The third being MX who quite literally mimicked the form of a rabbit with the sole intention of keeping the mimic locked in. No one programmed MX, because its goal has always been to lock up and fix M2. M1 is Fiona and is good. M2 is a violent mess of agony but not the completed mimic like M1. M3 is based on M1 but instead of basing its behaviors on Fiona David or Edwin, its behavior is based on Afton. M3 takes over the pizzaplex, while M1 is guarding M2. M3 gets in touch with M2 leading to the plot of Ruin, while M1 is making efforts to stop the plan.
I can’t keep my eyes off the cat and the brushes… such a good kitty, clearly loves the brushing. I bet that there are lots of accompanying purrs too. Brush Bruuush Bruuuuuuuuush Bruuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuush
The fact that if you believe the crying child is Dave, means that William afton named his son after the son of the man who’s life he destroyed and possibly killed David as well
As crazy as that is. For that work William’s second son would have to be born either right after or sometime later this whole Edwin tragedy happened. With FoxyBro being born first of course.
Now I'm REALLY interested how Glitchtrap came around...seems like William got his hands on Fiona and overwrote it's personality to be a copy of himself, that or he made his own Mimic program. Hell, this could be the first attempt he had at attaining 'immortality' before he discovered more supernatural means of doing so, which may have lead to his downwards spiral to his crimes involving the discovery of remnant.
Now ppl cant just backup their theories in Glitchtrap/Burntrap just being Mimic without any Afton influence when we now know that Fiona was the M1 and then somehow became just as violent and twisted as M2 and started acting just like Afton..
@Fist3ee well if we survive the true ending and don't die in the van wreck, I feel that Afton will be VERY interested in the story of Edwin 'resurrecting' his family
Rye, the elevator in ending 2 is *the exact same one that Cassie uses at the end of RUIN to escape Mimic!* and not only that: the storage room near the prototype FFPizzeria is also the exact same as the one where Cassie encounters the Mimic! check the rooms for comparison! the elephant mascot costumes and the bird costume are 1:1 the same models in SotM AND RUIN!! Freddy Fazbear's Mega Pizzaplex was directly built on top of MCM!!!
That giant Freddy head was down there too! Edit: Actually, are you sure that’s the same elevator? The elevator that Arnold uses in Ending 2 have wood paneled walls and smooth metal around the base of the walls. The outer doors are up-and-down bars connected with X-shaped bars that rotate to open and close the doors, and those doors meet in the middle. The inner doors are solid metal, but they too meet in the middle when closed. The Ruin elevator, on the other hand, has smooth metal on the upper walls and raised ridges in a diamond pattern on the lower walls, and a wooden hand rail. The inner doors are are metal beams up-and-down with a horizontal beam in the middle and diagonal beams in between for structure. It also closes from right to left. The outer doors are solid metal, but they open vertically instead of horizontally, with one going into the ceiling and one into the floor. Plus, the Ending 2 elevator has a big red button on the wall parallel to the door, the Ruin elevator has two buttons on the wall perpendicular to the doors. Not that there aren’t parallels. The mimic gets its hand stuck in the doors both times (left hand for Secret, right hand for Ruin), and after the doors close, the rider is addressed over the intercom by name and with the words, “It’s me.”
7:08 I get the feeling like it was mainly afton who wrote the contract and wanted Murray gone, he felt that having to deal with this inventer on his last legs was troubling and since he and henry were close, close enough to were murray could just simply teach Henry and Henry could replicate his work easily, he made henry learn more and more of Murray's works to the point that Afton could just cut ties and have henry under his wing with all the knowledge he could need. It would also explain in a way the design changes. As henry learned more and more, he could replicate the tech but not the style so things became more simple and bare bones resulting in the endos we see from the main fnaf games.
19:22 I don't think that the mimic actually affixes the data diver to itself here. It clutches the data diver to its chest as though the data diver were the tiger plush
I suspect moon.exe is trying to bring attention to Sun/Moon/Eclipse in SB; it tells us that Moon is Edwin and Sun is Fiona in its story. We can extrapolate that Eclipse is David since they would both be made up of part Edwin/Moon and part Fiona/Sun. Maybe there is another Mimic that contains all three of them and it is Sun/Moon/Eclipse. It makes me think that the post-it room was them all trying to gain control of the body and gain consciousness/recreate their family in their own ways after Fazbear scoops them up from the abandoned/destroyed manor.
Isn't sun and moon also used as a metaphor for William too? There's a lot of weird connections between the characters. The wife robot. As ballora was DEFINITELY made after Williams wife and even sings a song about him bringing behind walls instead of dancing with her. And he takes Edwin's house after. That and the dead kid being rebuilt into a robot. It's strange. Also the white tiger with hallucinations and a limb body. It's like golden Freddy who does the same thing and has a limp body. There's a lot of parallels between Edwin Henry and William. And they were all at one point friend judging by Edwin dating "they" when ever he talks about being pushed away and no longer friends. And Henry also had that house in the books. It's REALLY strange.
Now that I think about it, I’ve heard before the comparison that Eclipse is like the perfect fusion of Sun and Moon as a daycare attendant; Sun was caring yet overbearing, and Moon was Strict but… callous I guess to put it nicely. Maybe he’s like a fusion of those two as a parent? Edwin’s certainly fits just with less violence, and Fiona… well you could argue on the elevator repair tape she was being too coddling and “oh it’s not your fault” which is kinda like being overbearing. 🤔
12:34 Also, on Help Wanted 2 we actually play some minigames on what the community speculates is the Fall Fest, which ends up in fire, so there were already theories before that said whatever the Fall Fest was, it ended up burning
Glitchtrap is probably from a copy of the mimic software made by Fazbear. It came from scanning old circuit boards and when we see MXES in Ruin it's undamaged, so they aren't from that. Whatever is left of Fiona is probably in MXES, trying to keep the mimic contained while Glitchtrap tries to free it.
I'm not convinced Henry was 100% in on William's plan to ruin Edwin. That was obviously William's goal 100%, but all we know is that Edwin received messages from Henry changing designs at the last minute. Is that because Henry was in on the plan, or was it because Henry was like Edwin and set off with half-baked ideas without considering the practical ramifications, or was it just William logged into Henry's email account?
William is a master manipulator, he probably convinced Henry it was “just business”. Only after the multiple missing kids, the shut down Fazbears and springlock incidents did David realize he was working for a monster.
I just thought of something. We know that someone on the MCM staff was leaking Edwin’s work to William Afton. Some people seem to think it’s Henry, but Edwin’s one audio log mentioning Henry implies that he’s still on the Fazbear side of things giving Edwin their notes on new designs and edits. On the other hand, who do we know who was in a management role of some sort in the later years of Freddy’s? One who has recently gotten quite a bit of attention lorewise in the past year and even the game mentions him by name as an employee implied to be unhappy with the new lock on the factory door in Group Message #5? Ralph. The Phone Guy. Edit: The tool is called a Data DIVER, not Data Driver.
5:56 Not to mention that these springlocks also seem more stable compared to the ones Henry and William end up using, maybe even *because* they wouldn't access the superior Edwin versions.
@RayaneAlch-u8d It's possible (depending on the cannon ending) that Edwin's Springlocks were lost in the Cradle protocol, hence why Henry and William had to make due. Or its a case of overexaggerating on how bad things were (tbf, the only cases of fatal Spribglock failures are a damp, moldy Spring Bonnie, and where a sobbing child's head in shoved into the performing animatronic's jaw.
I think the springlocks were simply just safer than we assumed. We only ever see them after they are very old and already damaged. And while people act like the crying childs death was a spring lock failure it wasn't. The locks were already closed. The jaws simply kept moving and crushed his skull or the other electronics failed and it closed. The locks couldnt have failed. They were already undone
Hey Rye, spotted something that could potentially be interesting about the recurring usage of 4625. The number 4625 is being used A LOT in SOTM, there's the HW2 teaser, Nurse Dollie & The frequency Edwin uses for Fiona in the basement tape. This gave me a brainworm about the patient logs from SB...Patient 46 & Patient 71. 46+25 = 71 There seems to be a theme of 2 things becoming a third thing, Sun/Moon becoming Eclipse etc. Can anyone else think of anything that fits that pattern?
@@sleepylmguy9968you missed the most obvious, the mimics. First the two mimics, that’s the secret of it. It’s two things that appear as one. But also the layer of its David getting mixed together with Edwin’s neglectful tendencies and the violent rage, two become one.
13:25 frequency 4625 That is UVB-76 , it played by radio station named “the buzzer”. his station is known for its persistent, monotonous buzzing or beeping sound, interrupted occasionally by voice transmissions.
I think the Dolly segment explains why Fiona's spirit is still around - they recycle everything - that must include the damage from the Fall fest she died at in agony
I think you might be cooking omg. That was a major hurdle for me how fionas spirit/remnent could have gotten back to the place. The flaming carousel is plenty of metal to hold it too.
Pausing this at 0:01 so I can make sure I’ve watched all the lives! Had a busy week only about couple hours into the game myself while watching your live lets play. My go to guy❤
although i feel the secret ending is more likely to not be true, the idea of fazbear coming back after the events of this game to get the mimic who now sees them self as a child, taking him away and locking him up all alone is so sad
Calling it now: Edwin is alive and Gregory (David) is his robot son. If you review the cryptic wall code from SB it’s direct instructions to Gregory to destroy Fazbear ENT as revenge for stealing his life. They are setting up a father + son return. A fitting end to a tragic story. Also ROBO FIGHT!
@-jellifish-or better yet give that dude a full on anime mech suit and let him and mimic Afton go at it to close us out. 😂 That shi would be sooooo good.
17:03 immediatly reminded me of the last two lines of this: "Cat's In The Cradle" My child arrived just the other day He came to the world in the usual way But there were planes to catch and bills to pay He learned to walk while I was away And he was talkin' 'fore I knew it, and as he grew He'd say "I'm gonna be like you, Dad You know I'm gonna be like you" And the cat's in the cradle and the silver spoon Little boy blue and the man on the moon When you comin' home, Dad I don't know when, but we'll get together then You know we'll have a good time then My son turned ten just the other day He said, "Thanks for the ball, Dad, come on let's play Can you teach me to throw", I said "Not today I got a lot to do", he said, "That's okay" And he walked away but his smile never dimmed And said, "I'm gonna be like him, yeah You know I'm gonna be like him" And the cat's in the cradle and the silver spoon Little boy blue and the man on the moon When you comin' home, Dad I don't know when, but we'll get together then You know we'll have a good time then Well, he came from college just the other day So much like a man I just had to say "Son, I'm proud of you, can you sit for a while" He shook his head and then said with a smile "What I'd really like, Dad, is to borrow the car keys See you later, can I have them please" And the cat's in the cradle and the silver spoon Little boy blue and the man on the moon When you comin' home son I don't know when, but we'll get together then, Dad You know we'll have a good time then I've long since retired, my son's moved away I called him up just the other day I said, "I'd like to see you if you don't mind" He said, "I'd love to, Dad, if I can find the time You see my new job's a hassle and the kid's got the flu But it's sure nice talking to you, Dad It's been sure nice talking to you" And as I hung up the phone it occurred to me He'd grown up just like me My boy was just like me
Some other mini lore bits I've noticed Not everything from Edwin was stolen by Fazbear, some got stolen by others like his ex-employee Stan which then made Stan's Budget Tech in FNAF 6. The map of the proto-pizzeria is the same with FNAF 3, meaning that Fazbear's Fight was built upon the first (designed) Freddy's location.
F10-N4 is a simpler program trying to copy the mannerisms of a human being using the dataset it is given just like a 21st century AI would do, at least in the beginning. It can only 'guess' the human motivations of Fiona Murray based on Edwin's recordings of their past which is why it could make a mistake (most likely a mistake) like letting David out to his death and not actually 'feel' as crushed as Edwin was about the whole thing. This is also why she embraced M2 more as their 'son' where Edwin could not while he was alive and why she could work together with M2-Edwin (also a digital recreation) so smoothly to fix M2. Fiona Murray, Edwin Murray and David Murray were gone for good when their lives ended and now we have a robot family being reunited just like the Afton Staffbots. This could still be in parallel to the semiscientific Remnant phenomena but the two plots just don't overlap. Edwin could have discovered the liquid metal Remnant and just thought of using it as a convenient power source for his own factory and Manor - then Fazbear after repoing the information just repurposed it wholesale without thinking of possible side effects.
my theory is that William and Herny created the idea and blueprints for the springlocks and Herny had the ideas for the puppet but they hired MCM to actually build the thing's.
Which would explain why Edwin thinks the new designs are creepy. If they need to add a springlock suit it wouls make sense that they would be creepier.
@@WolfBetter except that can't be it, because the ones he did make were 100% Fiona's designs, he said he wouldn't change a single line in the blueprints.
I love the cat. Edit: come for the content, stay for the creator’s personality and the cat. I want to see the cat being brushed all the time. It’s comforting.
3:53 Mimic was luring Arnold into a trap, as the Mimic was smart enough to plan ahead of what anyone or anything could've expected, Mimic pretty much controlled the entire story
Edwin still makes m1 as a sitter for David before fionas passing just like in the books, there's an audio log in the costume assembling room. One of the know facts they outwardly spoke in the game.
My takeaway of the game is that edwin ended up like afton stuffed by the mimic in the moon suit as the exe directly links him to the moon but also the logs in the retail shop say that the employees encountered the moon prior to the mimics direct attack and trapped him under the carousel meaning the moon was a separate entity to the minic and we never get shown or told the mimic is in the moon any time during our encounter with it plus the lullabys it sings are in line with a father trying to soothe its baby like a eternal edwin would be trying to do for david or M2, i believe the moon suit is not the mimic during our fight with it but edwin
Things I think. 1. If we get a Fallfest game we’re are 100% playing as either Henry or Fiona. 2. I think it’s very possible that we will see Edwin in a Modern day Fnaf Game either as a Possessed AI or maybe as a Ghost. 3. I think it’s possible that Cassie (with Vanny in her mind) will find all the remains of Edwin’s Animatronics and repair them to have them join her. 4. I think it’s possible that William was the cause of Fiona’s death at fall fest as part of his plan to take Edwin’s Property. 5. In one of the endings we are able to use a Book and the Tiger Plush to calm the Mimic down and quote: Fix what is “Broken”, Fnaf Theorists: She’sAlwaysNervous made a theory that the way to stop the mimic is to Befriend it and show it Love and Compassion, and I think the Tiger-Plush and the Book are the key to doing that. Extra: Chloesimagination made a Comic Headcanon that Arnold is the dad of Cassie’s Dad/Jeremy Fitzgerald. Extra: It’s my new Personal Headcanon that the Dispatch guys name is Randal and he’s the Current CEO of Fazbear Entertainment LLC.
@@GJames-Legend101 That be cool & very interesting too! Also, it be nice to have a future game centered around FallFest (like option 1) or see smth akin to option 2 (to actually see if Edwin is still around) Forgot to mention this in my org comment, but nice theories btw!
Idk if I agree on the details. There is an audio log of Edwin crashing out at M1, saying he wouldn't build an endo to be David and that M1 isn't really Fiona. I feel like its more likely that he stored M1/F10N4 away against her will and that M2 started mimicking David against Edwins Intentions.
I’m just saying Edwin had some machine parts ordered and shipped under ground that they already had the exact same parts for and was ordered to be scrapped (destroyed). Guy questions Edwin? Fired. His secret fiona mimic that he’s turned on? Well that seems like something hed want erases evidence of when it was moved downstairs irrationally.
M1 is very persuasive though as we see her ask the same thing more than once. It seems way more likely that Edwin listened to her eventually but his mental state led to his actions following and because he wasn’t really on board with the whole thing
I don’t know what it is that quite led me to this line of thinking but hear me out. Remember the box that no one knows what was inside? While not present in this or the past few fnaf games, what if steel wool and Scott are silently setting it up where the thing inside the box is the data driver containing the mimic schematics? I remember in an interview with fuhnaff they said schematics was an important word, and with the nods/connections to fnaf 1, 4, pizza sim, security breach and ruin, it could very well be it. Maybe I’m just overthinking things
Edwin is now up my "the most miserable character" tier list of this game. Plus watching Fiona bot worry this much about Edwin and her son, M2 hurts. She just wants the family together...
7:46 The "creepy" concepts may have been Afton trying to kidnap children in machines. But Edwin realized what he was creating. He confronted Afton about it, and Edwin "mysteriously" disappeared.
With everything we have learned it feels more like Henry really didn't make much now. He was supposed to be the engineering genius but it feels like that got pushed aside.
my theory is edwin didnt invent springlocks or the endos in fnaf 1 but that he just made the costumes in the restaurant project and henry made the endos and springlocks. Even though there are springlocks in this game doesnt mean edwin invented them.
The real question that I think is answering hopefully in a future video is what started at the fall fest fire? This truly just an accident or did a certain man behind the slaughter have something to do with it? Because I remember theories that a lot of people had that William caused the fall fest fire to possibly make Henry’s animatronics look bad. But considering now what we know, William could’ve easily done it to make Edwin’s animatronics look bad, therefore making the company look bad, therefore pushing the company deeper into the clutches of Faz-bear entertainment. Of course, maybe William didn’t know the fire would have killed certain people, including Edwins wife.
im glad we're learning that henry isnt a completely innocent man. i mean he was partners with william. and while its clear henry isnt pure evil like afton, he still chose to partner with him. so interesting.
Youre instantly ignoring that Edwin was talking about M2 *only* when he was talking about how the other attempts failed, didnt even mention M1 smh. Also its pretty evident that M1 convinced Edwin to make another Mimic endoskeleton, being M2, to replace David. And Edwin never says he swears he heard Fiona's spirit, that can easily be some form of the Mimic copying her, perhaps for the first time
I had a lot of reservations about the mimic because I felt like they were trying to remove the paranormal elements from the series, but this game showed me there are very much still ghosts in them there robots. I'm at least willing to wait and see what they cook up next.
@@Fragmentsinfractals999Honestly I think it is. Not only does it not act like the Mimic does in any of its other costumes, it also causes brief flashes in Arnold's vision - evocative of the hallucinations in FNaF 1. It being seemingly more curious than anything else also lends itself to that idea. So then the question becomes: why is David down there, and not anywhere else in the factory?
@@AntiKaiMatic Honestly, "We are done with the paranormal arc" is kind of a crazy thing to say about what is at its core a ghost story. And it's pretty clear from what's presented in this game that no, actually, paranormal activity is still at the core of what is going on.
@@unscblackbeltgi5893IT HASNT BEEN A GHOST STORY FOR 7 YEARS! MOVE ON ITS SCI FI HORROR. IT STARTED LEANING SCI FI HORROR SINCE SISTER LOCATION. IT'S AT ITS CORE A SCI FI HORROR ESPECIALLY IN THE BOOKS AND NEW GAMES

Fazbear: You're fired and we're suing you, Arnold. The Mimic: You can't fire or sue him. He's now a permanent part of my show. And so will anyone else you send after me. Fazbear: ...you're hired. We'll pay you by occasionally sending more unsuspecting victims to you. For training purposes. The Mimic: I didn't agree to- Fazbear: WE SAID, you're hired. Next dope should be on the way in ten to twelve weeks.
i watched a full walkthrough and really appreciated the work put into the game, it's a MASSIVE MASSIVE improvement from steel wool's release, the UI, the Intro, The music, the voice acting, the script (thank you Scott), the art direction!, the map, the props, the character design, the animation (it looks so smooth) all the attention of detail, this is the best from them yet and dare i say it's probably the best fnaf game for some. i love how it adds context to the story, clears something up, i love that, i was confused to see the confusion in the community, just because it doesn't fit in your headcannon doesn't mean the story it's not good, people often jumped the gun too early without understanding the full context of the story
So my main takeaway from this is that the existence of the mimic is indirectly caused by the fact that William and Henry were BOTH terrible people. They physically and mentally destroyed this man in the name of a corporate takeover instead of just joining forces with him, and in the process his family died around him. Fiona being a/the MXES machine raises some questions about what that particular rabbit was, and raises the possibility that Gregory and Vanessa never had anything to do with anything that happened in Ruin at all, but that it was always the Mimic trying to get out, and Fiona Murray trying to stop it. Honestly at this point, the weird ghostly white tiger could have just been Edwin, but this is FNAF so it's probably his son (who has the FNAF4 bedroom from the looks of it). The canon ending, assuming this is still clinging limply to the books, is probably the one where Arnold gets fired, so that they have to send someone to successfully retrieve the mimic endo after...whatever Fiona does is done. Looking forward to more theories about it!
I think you are forgetting that almost every one of Edwin's inventions had "issues." He was in a lot of legal trouble. Sure, he was a genius, but he made a lot of mistakes and never perfected any of his designs. You can make the argument that maybe Fazbear paid people to sue Edwin to undermine his business, but we don't know that for certain yet. We cannot blame everything on William and Henry.
There's gotta be two endoskeletons. There's no way the mimic that was chasing us the whole game is the same as the one that was in the closet because otherwise, how did it get there? It didn't go through the boarded up door, is there another secret passageway in the closet? I think "M1" is the endoskeleton that chases us the whole game because a distinction is made between it and Fiona, and M2 is the one in the closet that was there when Edwin died. So maybe the secret is that there's two endoskeletons as well? Because I feel like Ruin made it fairly clear that the digital and physical Mimics are separate entities, so it wouldn't be much of a secret.
I strongly believe the Mimic endoskeleton was created before Fiona's death. When Edwin introduces it to David, he doesn't go "Hey mommies back! She's a robot now!" It's 'this is your new babysitter'. It's possible that the birthday that David died was when Mimic!Fiona was meant to introduced to David, but they never had the chance.
(Spoilers) In a section of the game you play a series of films of their family and have to sort them chronologically. 1: David has a birthday as an infant with Fiona. 2: David has a birthday at 2 years old with Fiona 3: David has a birthday after Fiona dies. 4: David has a birthday and is gifted the playground, the Mimic is there with Fiona's voice. 5: David has a birthday and the Mimic bakes a cake, imitating Fiona, David is playing at his playground.
You see a recording where Edwin leaves 'Fiona' to play with David at the park and Fiona has a robotic voice. And Edwin says in an audio tape that he let M1 'raise' David. I think M1 being introduced that way to David was just to slowly get David into it rather then rushing him into the robot-mom stuff.
@@erickamakeeaina1649 so I'm definitely wrong on my second point lol. The main question in my opinion then is wether F1on4 was part of the Mimic from the start, or came later. Cuz if the Mimic didn't exist before F1on4, what did Edwin hear? What convinced him that he could 'bring her back'.
@@infsm27 i dont understand this because if the mimic is imitating Fiona, when does it imitate David? only after his death? and why does it not have legs at first?
I think the worst part of the first ending is that if the mimic is really copying how people do certain actions, that means that the mimic is going to be driving the way that the character we play as was driving, which means we have a second douchebag on the road driving in the middle of both lanes.

I think it also shows Fiona was right. Edwin could have fixed the mimic with the schematic. He just was too dead to do it
I think the credits show that the easy ending is canon, and I think the future shows that the secret ending is not possible because I think F10-NA has to aquire the schematics to make the mimic we see in future. (and maybe upload it to the pizza plex endos)

I already solved it:
Canon ending is David story time.
Afton steals Edwin’s work and house (and kid)
He finds mimic David in its boarded up room of the house and begins experimenting on it (FNAF4) trying to recreate Edwin’s magic in hopes of finding immortality.
IM SAYING LIKE
@@RyeToast Like it’s funny too because going into this game Rye, you and all of us were expecting some lore on the Murray’s but we got ALL THE LORE and again it’s so funny when meanwhile the Afton Family aka the most important family in the entire franchise still has massive chunks of unknown information about them again hopefully we either DLC for SOTM or a completely separate game that dives head first into explaining the Afton’s to the same level as this game did for the Murray’s
It doesn't seem like they plan to end the franchise anytime soon, so I'd say revisiting old stories in order to expand them is not out of the question. I hope it happens some day.
No you're on to something here its hilarious that we can get so much lore about the Murray family but we can't even get confirmation that crying child and FoxyBro are related to William
i think everyone finally got frustrated enough about cryptic puzzles and a story even the writers didnt know, so now theyre just telling a good story
Plus, in the novels SPOILERS
Charlie's ghost is actually attached to a doll Henry placed inside the robots, not the robots themselves, which is why when Baby rips it out of Charlie she "dies".
It would also explain why M2 was so hard to make then suddenly it becomes super advanced once David is dead
The more and more I think about this game the more I appreciate it. The characterization of everyone was just perfect and it feels like they finally understand exactly what they want to do with the story and how to make everything they added back in Security Breach finally make sense.

When F10-N4 starts threatening you after you run parachute.exe, there's a few lines in the middle of her threats where she wonders aloud what suit M2 will pick to shove you in when it kills you.
She names various character costumes and implies that M2 intentionally selects a suit specific to the personality traits of its victims, associated with who they are "deep down inside," like a worker bee or a loyal dog (and we do find the corpses of engineers from the prior search teams in those specific suits, among others)
And obviously, from the "bad ending" we know M2 picks proto-Freddy! I wonder what that says about Arnie?
I too would like to know
If we look at the original Freddy from FNAF 1, he seemed to enjoy lurking in the shadows.
@@lukasruston8618ooooohh that makes a lot of sense. I like that! A really poetic and messed up way to "praise" for his achievement.

or rather who shipped it because if the tales books are true we basically know right?
Wasn’t it Vanessa and Gregory? I thought they did, perhaps they discovered F10N4 and somehow made a deal to use her as a vessel to trap the Mimic 🤷♂️
If that is the case, that means the princess quest ending was the true one where Gregory frees Vanessa.

I really do feel bad for Edwin. His father died before he was ready to take on the company and right when he thinks he can turn it all around, Fazbear pulls the rug right out from under him. He seemed like such a nice guy too.
His company was almost as bad as fazbear in terms of employee safety, but whether that was a dad thing, or a failing business thing is hard to tell
Well, all Murray's creations were for sale or lease, so entirely possible they bought foxy and chica
Also. M1 Fiona, is used to RUN THE PIZZAPLEX. It is why the designs are reused. It made the designs
All of the animatronics here were never taken in by Fazbear Entertainment as they were not seen as appealing enough for business.
Most likely fazbear wanted to spice up the cast without much work so they used characters they had and in turned redesigned them. Also in real life companies will own characters they will never use so it makes sense they weren't used for 50 years

i love this theory!!!
Something I felt the need to point out that nobody else has yet is the fact that Edwin’s Springlock suit seems to be much better then FazBear’s
FazBear’s lock up at so much as a child’s tears while Arnold survived a massive fall completely unharmed
So if Edwin DID discover and use remnant, chances are his experiments with it would be much more successful then William’s, who relied and Henry’s skills and Edwin’s inventions for his entire carrier
I pointed that out to my brother. Nurse Dolly said Captain Springlock suffered a springlock failure but the player was unharmed by it. maybe Henry and William stole the idea of springlock suits without an official design to go off of.
Nah William burnt it down
@@KaiAntJohFarwe don’t know that

Agreed, especially with how close Edwin and Henry seemed to be.
Edwin says 'they' don't see him as a friend anymore and treat him badly. So it would be both of them
Yeah I truly believe Henry never had bad intentions with Edwin, seeing as they were both engineers.

Lol
@@tropezandothat’s how it turned to glitchtrap
that feels a bit far fetched. if mimic can be big top which essentially makes big top a shell or costume, how did big top operate separately from m1/m2 when the factory was still operating and running before the foreclosure?
Then new lore has them being Dr Dooms with mastery of tech and magic that are also rich enough to afford bunkers, a giant mall, sister locations Original location, the sister location storage facility, chicks pizza world, fredbears, fnaf 2 location, bazbear frights (3), some fazbear affiliate makes the video games in universe and there is the location of pizza sim (Henry somehow afforded all that)
@@draketurtle4169 i actually disagree with you on the old lore thing, although you're certainly correct about how the scope has gotten a big with the mall.
i wouldn't call them a nation wide chain for most of the plot, the most i could see is them having several locations across a few states. this would allow them to bring in some good cash while also being small enough that they could have their reputation kinda borked by fnaf 1's missing kids.
here's everything happening at roughly the same time: fnaf 1, fnaf 4, sister location/ circus baby's pizza world renting out animatronics, the fredbear and friends tv show
so assuming they had several locations, were renting out the suits, had the tv show going, and possibly took out some loans + whatever cash they had from fredbear's family diner then it makes much more sense how they could seemingly have so much extra money to burn
Isnt there a dog animatronic in the movie that looks very similar as well?
@@cassou124you know, I think the mimic game is likely the most meta game yet.
Op probably is right.
The bedtime story at the end of the third ending has each character in that story in the prototype pizzeria in some form
The original faz-gang was created by Fiona in some way
Bub - The dog | Monty - The Crocodile | Bear - Freddy | Chicken - Chica | Fox - Foxy | Bunny - Bonnie
@AutoChairman annoyingly, that could explain why Mike was such a dickhead to Dave/CC, since children often end up bullying adopted siblings
This also lines up with William Afton in the movie, as he kidnaps Garret, who fills a similar role to the Crying Child

This time the mother is an actual character
13:05 everyone is just ignoring that this sounds like the fnaf 6 salvage static?? Fiona is definitely possessed.
21:31 I don’t think F10-N4 becomes Glitchtrap, I think Glitchtrap is a partial copy of her, an M3 if you will. Maybe M1.5.
F10-N4 is confirmed to be M.X.E.S
It's POSSIBLE F10-N4 splits into Glitchtrap and M.X.E.S. After all, Glitchtrap is def a Mimic variant, and M.X.E.S. Has the same physical form box thing as F10-N4
@SuperFJH Isnt it literally a whole different device? we see MXES in the same ending and its a whole different computer. It does look similar.

The fact that if you believe the crying child is Dave, means that William afton named his son after the son of the man who’s life he destroyed and possibly killed David as well
Oh shit thats crazy
As crazy as that is. For that work William’s second son would have to be born either right after or sometime later this whole Edwin tragedy happened. With FoxyBro being born first of course.
@@sleepylmguy9968 It checks out. This game takes place in 1979, crying child dies in 1983, which would make him four years old.
David was a popular name at the period, but William's the kind of monster to steal everything someone had, right down to baby names.
Wasn't Michael's brother in the Fnaf Movie also called David or am I wrong?
Shhh that's for another video (but I kinda agree)
@@RyeToast eeek! (girly scream) don't forget me! I might have another big surprise for you!
Does this mean that Mr.Moon is the mimic we see in ruin? and maybe M2?
@@piercelindenberg6842because RUIN takes place decades after SotM. of course the elevator would receive a make-over.😊
7:08 I get the feeling like it was mainly afton who wrote the contract and wanted Murray gone, he felt that having to deal with this inventer on his last legs was troubling and since he and henry were close, close enough to were murray could just simply teach Henry and Henry could replicate his work easily, he made henry learn more and more of Murray's works to the point that Afton could just cut ties and have henry under his wing with all the knowledge he could need. It would also explain in a way the design changes. As henry learned more and more, he could replicate the tech but not the style so things became more simple and bare bones resulting in the endos we see from the main fnaf games.
The Secret of the Mimic is that it's peak
The PEAK-ret of the mimic
True!!!
F10-N4 and MXES are separate machines
Who built it then? The only visual difference is the name tag, right? No way it was built much later.@AutoChairman
I think the design changes were becuase of springlock failures
@AutoChairmanalso possible
I don’t think Henry tried to destroy Edwin, though he did help. William was the main jerk. Thus when Henry started to notice William was a bad person
Also maybe William killed David?
I don't think he needed to considering the playground was too close to the factory.@@thephoenixrose01250
@@thephoenixrose01250 I mean we have no evidence for that but it's a possibility

@@OfficialAshePenndale David is Fazbear employee confirmed??? /j. (making fun of u saying David)
I think henry build the springlocks and after he hired Edwin to build safer springlocks

46+25 = 71
There seems to be a theme of 2 things becoming a third thing, Sun/Moon becoming Eclipse etc. Can anyone else think of anything that fits that pattern?
That's crazy but it IS possible
CC and Cassidy becoming Golden Freddy?
StitchWraith? 2 Kids becoming a third thing?
Vanessa and Vanny becoming one. Gregory & Glamrock Freddy moving as one figure. Elizabeth & Circus Baby becoming one.
@@sleepylmguy9968you missed the most obvious, the mimics.

13:24 this is most likely unrelated but the static sounds a bit like one of the audio tracks you play in fnaf 6 during the salvage segment
although i feel the secret ending is more likely to not be true, the idea of fazbear coming back after the events of this game to get the mimic who now sees them self as a child, taking him away and locking him up all alone is so sad
You require the Tiger Rock plush, which you have to die first to get it…more likely a nice what-if scenario of sorts ig

He shook his head and then said with a smile
"What I'd really like, Dad, is to borrow the car keys
See you later, can I have them please"

Little boy blue and the man on the moon
When you comin' home son
I don't know when, but we'll get together then, Dad
You know we'll have a good time then

I said, "I'd like to see you if you don't mind"
He said, "I'd love to, Dad, if I can find the time
You see my new job's a hassle and the kid's got the flu
But it's sure nice talking to you, Dad
It's been sure nice talking to you"
And as I hung up the phone it occurred to me
He'd grown up just like me
My boy was just like me
Some other mini lore bits I've noticed
Not everything from Edwin was stolen by Fazbear, some got stolen by others like his ex-employee Stan which then made Stan's Budget Tech in FNAF 6.

3:53 Mimic was luring Arnold into a trap, as the Mimic was smart enough to plan ahead of what anyone or anything could've expected, Mimic pretty much controlled the entire story
It wasn't the mimic impersonating dispatch. It was F10-N4. Or fiona
@@MrBw1132 F10-N4 is Mimic1, hence the mimic did impersonate dispatch. Just... yknow, not M2.
Edwin still makes m1 as a sitter for David before fionas passing just like in the books, there's an audio log in the costume assembling room. One of the know facts they outwardly spoke in the game.
And then after her passing he finds F10-NA and makes M2 to be F10-N4 but in mimic form, and it eventually goes wrong?
@AutoChairman yea
The mimic can possess the moon costumes, its just very rare
It’d be very funny if the 3rd option happened (for a future game)! ^^ I can see it now, Cassie with an army of rebuilt animatronics! lol

@@parisartstuff glad you think so, I would personally love a Fallfest game in the modern day of fnaf, I think that would be amazing.
The mimic killed him, actually.
@AutoChairman but he did make the mimic he has the blueprints
well duh but how does edwin inventing the mimic take away from Henry?
The Tiger Rock in the basement in MCM is implied to just be David's ghost.
So then the question becomes: why is David down there, and not anywhere else in the factory?

i didn't know FNAF had pillow pets and i cant stop laughing how cursed some of them look
On the topic of which ending is canon, I feel pretty confident that then Moon.exe one didn’t end up happening due to the fact that you can only get it on a new game+
Hey props on putting this out so fast (especially after all those long live streams) I remember being suspicious when you first started posting on the fnaf scene, fearful you where gonna churn out the ever popular slop that did no more then recapping events, but i am happy to say ive been watching since. Cheers to you sticking with the channel and growing far beyond it aswell.
The Mimic: I didn't agree to-
Fazbear: WE SAID, you're hired.
The cat is now an expert on the lore of FNaF. We welcome you with open arms catto
20 seconds ago is criminally fast cant wait for juicy lore 😈🙏
Get in here!
15:47 this past made me remember the story of Dittophobia from Tales from the Pizzaplex
Because I feel like Ruin made it fairly clear that the digital and physical Mimics are separate entities, so it wouldn't be much of a secret.
i think this too.
11:23 I literally gasped we have the same Freddy pillowpet so cuteeee !!
(Spoilers)
In a section of the game you play a series of films of their family and have to sort them chronologically.
1: David has a birthday as an infant with Fiona.
2: David has a birthday at 2 years old with Fiona
3: David has a birthday after Fiona dies.
@hircenedaelen I think F10-N4 existed before the mimic but what confuses me is if he didnt make F10-N4 who did?
13:50 ohhhhh so his other inventions are the mixture of the mimic. The coatrack changing size, duhhh lol
