- Take a tour of the old Crandon Park Zoo! Once abandoned and left to rot, the former grounds of Crandon Park Zoo have been turned into a beautiful park on Key Biscayne, adjacent to the Crandon Park Beach. A few of the old zoo structures remain of the zoo that once greeted visitors between 1948 and 1980. The zoo eventually moved to much bigger spaces, and far better conditions for the animals in what is now Zoo Miami. A video from the new zoo will follow this one soon.

Love the video. Remember going there with Mom and Dad as a child
Very neat, thanks for the journey
Thanks for watching! It's fascinating place.
This was really interesting! I haven't heard of a zoo being converted like this before.
Thanks! There were a couple more structures that still stood at one point, when they had kind of let things go, and weren't keeping it up. It's a beautiful area as a gardens now.
Do you know if there are any of the same employees at the new zoo that were at Crandon Park Zoo? I am trying to get some information on the zookeeper that had been at Crandon Park zoo in the 60s. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
So insteresting! How do I locate this place?
