  • This Oil Cooler set up made my oil temps happy again. Running 20psi puts some serious heat into the engine and I didn't want to pay more than $350 for an oil cooler WITH a fan. I ran the fan to my radiator fan wiring, and have both set up on the same switch.
For this price you can go with Cxracing or you can fork out another $200 or more for a Mishimoto or some other fancy brand.. however I like custom DIY stuff and not overpaying for a company name.. and this worked PERFECTLY.

Reporting back - The ebay oil cooler setup was an initial success. My temps were like 120ish 126c .. now 90- and no more than 100c
Overall I was impressed with the setup and how effective it was.. I had no significant leaks except I forgot to teflon the small 1/8 Npt fitting other than that, there were no issues at all.

@offbalancewrld I won't lie i had my worries since it was "ebay," but man, this cooler came thur... max temp 105, which is pretty dam good I am shocked how well it performed vs. Name brands, which you sell out 1.3K AUD for a setup vs. eBay savings to be Had.
But it's all about finding out what works and what don't

If the oil cooler kit off eBay is 10AN how did you use the linked Adapter plate off Amazon if it's 8AN?
    Cheers!

What app do you use for the boost gauges and oil temps?

eBay cooler for the win looks like it works - I'm off to get a 19-row one with the same kit I'll report back to see my own results good work =]
I noticed you installed a small fan on the cooler would that be optional most install I've seen doesn't have a fan behind it

It’s worked beautifully, track days and all. And the fan is optional. The fan does help a good amount though, with hotter days

@offbalancewrld I'm glad this worked out I'm supercharged and the 86 is just a daily work / street car sleeper build lol but stock temps in Australian summer is not ideal I've just ordered in time for our summer
