He was in a youth crew hardcore band called Disengage and a few other hardcore bands(Bad Seed, Stick Together, not sure who else). He's currently in a hardcore band called Liberty
cameronyears they have a demo on bandcamp and dont play shows too often, mainly based in nyc. he also plays bass for Big Contest they have an lp called time will tell out on moshers delight records
+L ros They have a booking agent because booking shows takes a shitload of time, especially all over the world. He probably wants to spend that time on his other bands (where I'm sure he still books the shows) and his own label.
+L ros I don't think he's claiming that they're DIY or saying "you should only go DIY, don't get into labels" just that "you can go the DIY route and have some success." Not everyone has the luxury or privilege of getting on a major label, luckily they do even though for a long time they weren't on one. Had they stayed completely DIY, we might not have gotten the music they've given us. Basically all he's saying is DIY is something that can work for some people, and in the internet age, you can get a lot out of that mentality.
Agreed. Don't limit your self on the reliance of a label or studio for progression within your band. Don't limit your self from outside sources as well. Do what works and what's best with the resources that are available. He sheds light on the (Big Break) mentality a lot of people have.

+L ros They have a booking agent because booking shows takes a shitload of time, especially all over the world. He probably wants to spend that time on his other bands (where I'm sure he still books the shows) and his own label.
