Honestly don't get how people thought this storyline was disgusting. Sharon and Dennis weren't related blood wise so no biological incest. Just brief boundaries because she was he's adopted sister. Didn't meet until adults as didn't grow up with the boundaries many other people do. In my eyes it was all legal so what's the problem
Viewers loved the Sharon and Dennis storyline & media were addicted to their chemistry. They're still considered one of the best couples in EE. Only the ignorant characters on the Square had a problem at first, and that was because Vicki & Dirty Den made such a big deal out of it. Vicki eventually accepts them.

Vicky and the square are overreacting so much. It's not like Dennis and Vicky knew Sharon since childhood, it's not as if they grew up as brother and sister then decided to have sex... they met as adults. Sharon wasn't even related to Dennis biologically lol.
Uncanny how Sharon made the comment about Pauline braining Dennis with the frying pan if he kept having a go at her, and that's how Joe murdered Pauline.
See people are comparing this storyline to Vincent being a donor father to his adoptive sister Donna's baby. I find Donna & Vincent weird. Not so much Shannis because firstly they did not meet each other until their 30s, Dennis didn't even meet Dirty Den till that stage either and Den couldn't even remember Dennis's mother! Plus Sharon growing up with philandering, materialistic Den and alcoholic unstable Angie who was trying to turn her into a mini me is hardly going to make you the most assured, stable adult. Since they did not have boundaries or a relationship as siblings when they grew up, others should understand all of that before they judge real life cases like these.
