I prefer items that do things rather than items with stats. Berserker clubs, fungi tunics, moss covered twiggs, mana stones, fbss, goblin guzugi rings etc.
Lift restrictions - Have the skills wherever you want, with a limited number of hot bars - that's a 100% agree here. The new VFX are quite cool, I like the new twisting glowing tendrils for some of the spells. Haven't seen anything quite like it in other MMO's which gives Pantheon a nice sense of something different. I have to say you guys are making great progress, but please think about the new models. I know you've heard this many times, just want to reinforce the topic, the new models all look like short humans, medium humans, tall humans and blue humans. Hopefully they are just placeholder, but IF NOT placeholder, I have to be blunt and say they are not good enough. I'm sorry, but they are not good enough.
The game is slowly shaping up to be much better. I'd like to see the models after a few more passes on them. Still not thrilled about the shorter elf model, but at least dark myr are there as an alternative. Guessing customisation will come later based on your EA roadmap? Also are the female models meant to be the same height as the male ones or is that a placeholder thing?
The hotbar thing sounds good. Make there be less slots too. Also if you choose to hotbar a bunch of buffs because you built your character to be a buffer, the buffs should disappear off players you have already buffed if you decide to take those buffs off your hotbar.
I financially contributed to this game because I believe in it's core principals. I hope they are trying to raise private capital still. One more funding round would go a long way considering they finally have the development pipeline in place. I also believe that when they addressed core network issues (by vinl) and loading issues (by the graphics change) that they saved the game, not doomed it. Hard project. Nice job Savanja, I criticized you your first video. You are strong and talented. Keep your heads up Pantheon team.

I'll just do what ive always done with MMOs. Not touching it before it's near launch, maybe a bit of testing a few months before release. That way I won't invest emotionally in a game thst might not make it.
I can't help but feel like the ongoing development of Bard is what is making them re-think the Hotbar restriction lift. It definitely makes creating a Bard class a lot more difficult when you realize you only have so many "Song" slots, and it's not a lot. For that reason...I don't hate his idea of lifting restrictions, however we all know there will be a price to pay for that in-game. Do we want to pay it, that's the real question. ⁉
Not sure i like the group/shared loot because there isn't anything stopping someone from grabbing it all to sell vs letting team members who can actually use it have it...
In regards to improved animations... does that mean more variety? IE my direlord just does the same animation for all of his techniques and auto attacks over and over. I'm assuming this means adding unique and varied animations to those?
Dear anyone at VR. Please, on everything sacred, stop adding magical visual effects to warriors abilities. I havent been able to play a warrior without pooping out magical sparkles since everquest. When i use shield block, there doesnt need to be magical shields appearing in front of me out of thin air. Just have me simply raise my shield. Please do not turn my warrior into a sissy... thanks.
It was announced more than a decade ago, I think it's fair to believe it won't reach a full release. Running a game studio is expensive, and this game's audience wasn't huge even before the visual update narrowed it further. I hope they prove me wrong, but I would not bet on it.
"we dont generally share financial information." why not? these are the people that are funding your game, these are basically your investors but they get nothing else in return for writing your paychecks. You should have a better reason then that for why you dont care about the people who are making this game possible to begin with.

All you guys are doing is just showing how pathetic and spiteful you are that you would waste your time telling a bunch of MMO vets what they already know. Whatever Visionary Realms did to you, get over it. If you don't care about the game or you think its gonna fail, then just go away. You're not gonna convince us to give up on the game after following it for 10 years, and the game isnt gonna fail any faster by trying to discourage superfans from playing.
So just drop the bar slots down to 8-10ish, allow buffs to be removed ftom the bar after casting, and allow ability swapping in combat but make it start a sit animation with a memorize time equal to a percentage of the level (say 1-2 sec for a first level and maybe 10 sec for a level 39 spell, for example...just numbers out my butt so don't start min maxing my example people). This will still limit the actions usable and allow some freedom of choice. And no, casters in the back won't be able to abuse this much if sit aggro is a proper threat, plus their contribution to a fight would be limited if they are constantly swapping spells making it a meaningful decision.
I really dislike the idea of uncapped player guilds counts on open world bosses. Really kills it for me. As someone who played alot of ffxi, what is there that would appeal to a ffxi player? Because I have failed to see it and feel that this game may not be for me.
No he wouldn't... I haven't played it but I've watched it, I see the EQ in it where the difficulty in it isn't just required group content because if mob health pools but because there's intricacies to the mobs, just like it would be in RL.
Why can't Americans and Europeans be able to play together? Even private servers of example Vanilla WoW has made this possible without any issues, I believe the region locked servers are a thing of the past.

A lot of it has to do with that they are using the same animations. There are no flavors to the races
