Back in about 2003 they used to let people ride in a small two person seat on the coal tender. I was able to ride with my 7 year old son who was a train fanatic at the time. That’s a memory he has never forgotten so whoever the engineer was back in 2002 to 2003 thank you for the ride.
Nice video mr Smiley. I hope to be one of the engineers at Dollywood when I get older. I’m 13 right now. Hopefully I’ll be able to work at Dollywood when I get older.
You and Casey seem to have been running Cindy during more of my recent visits. My most recent was Saturday and I looked up in the cab and I immediately knew it was y'all. Hope to join you guys in the cab someday.
Neat. Too bad the audio and video are so out of sync. What's the purpose of the horn? Any specific reason why the engineer kept looking at things off to the side? Why is the guy sitting in the tender not doing anything? Back in the day, did they wear any kind of hearing protection or did they just lose their hearing?
Jack White it’s a whistle not a horn look at things off to the side can be for different reasons look for wheel slippage and the therm person I know and sometimes they just ya e three people in the cab and back in the day no they didn’t have any hearing protection and the whistle is for warning people or animals ahead same for the bell

8:47 Music to my ears!
i understand that smoking is prohibited but can you bring food or drinks on the train ride ???
whats the buzzer that keep going off?
Was that a wheel slip I heard?
I recognize one of the whistle quails. That’s from Tweetsie Railroad. What’s the engineers name. I know one of them.
Locomotive 70 a 2-8-2 Mikado known as Cinderella was build in May 1938 by the Baldwin Locomotive Works in Eddystone,Pennsylvania.
I hope I can become a steam engine locomotive enginner some day
I just subscribed!
that’s my algebra teacher💀
The engineers don't wave from the trains anymore, not like they did BACK in 1954.
Dollywood is a very intense route and the crew needs to focus
Do you know Casey Rhodes?
Brent Wood yes I do. I fired for him the other day
You were my fireman last week
Sabrina Wallace i tend to fire a lot
There’s a good chance I was on this train
i would love to do that, i love coming there and riding it i would love even shovling the coal into the engine
It's a fun time! its a ;ot of hard work, but a lot of love goes into it
SmileyRailfanProductions my dream job is to be a fireman there, hopefully one day soon
9:10

I meant whistle. Whatever. A whistle is a horn.
I can't undestand half of what you said because of the poor grammar.
Jack White ok I messed up I don’t why you got so mad 😡
Jack White horns are powered by air compressors and whistles are powered by steam
