Just found your Instagram and had to come subscribe to your RUclips! This was a really great video demonstration! Looking forward to seeing more of your videos and art! Phenomenal work!
Can't wait to dive in to the Grass tutorial, I'm not to good with the eraser shield, as I have a hard time seeing where I am laying it down, but will give it a try!
Amazing video Amii. Wonderfully detailed in technics used and of your artwork depth. I look forward to more of your videos in the future 💗Could you please let me know where you got your metal multi-shaped guide from please?
Hi Amanda - if you search for 'eraser guard' or 'eraser shield' you should find you local suppliers. I got mine from Amazon for a few GBP (for a pack).
@@kyramills probably not. I put down enough colour that I would see a new shape after I used the tape. Sometimes I had a darker patch to start with, and the change would be more dramatic. Often, however, I used it to get me started. On the mini course week 2 tutorial I’ll show this working for grass blades.
I usually work with white or light grey pastelmat but a base colour could add warmth yes. The techniques on pastelmat would be different - I’d probably add the light grasses later (rather than indenting) on top of rich dark greens.
That is very useful thank you Amii ☺️
Thank you Pauline :)
Really helpful thanks so much Amii! I’m so excited you have are sharing your amazing work here 👏
I can't wait to try this!
This is so helpful!

Ahh thank you. I’ve been busy with a commission but I’ll post another video soon :) thanks for watching and for the feedback.

@@alisonmosier1475 that’s the beauty of grass- it doesn’t matter about ‘correctly’ locating an area :)
Love the trick to remove some of the stickiness on your magic tape! I made the mistake of removing too much pigment before… 🙌
@@clairesylvestre6097 I think we’ve all done that at least once 🤭😬
Great video, Amii! I really enjoyed hearing your thinking process and seeing your techniques demonstrated.
Thanks Lisa :)

Hi Amii. Super helpful - thanks! A question though..before using the subtraction technique, did you lay down an even layer of color?

Do you think this will look good with light green pastel mat?

@@AmiiHarwoodArtist thanks I'm trying it now.
