But is this really a tourist airport? Because they announced a few months ago that there will be an US Military Base on Balabac.. Not that it is just the construction for that.. But maybe combined use. Might be good for the people of Balabac in terms of work, but also brings a lot of other problems with it. Also, you know what happens to filipino towns when there are US bases near them :/
