Saw what you will about remake 3, i have my issue with it too, but she killed it as jill. Been an re fan since 98 and i never understood how peoples fav character was jill. I thought she was fairly boring and bland. Her performance has made me love jill and even see older versions of jill in a new light. Really hope they bring her back.
Your comment makes no sense whatsoever, you say you like Jill and yet you question her being boring and bland? Dude have you really played and paid attention on these games because it seems you don’t know shit about RE characters 🤨😒
First of all Jill is not a boring character and never was, she’s a cop who cares deeply for her teammates (this is seen evidently in any RE games, except in RE5 where she was mindcontrolled mostly and was not herself) also not to mention she already has a military background prior before she joined the force of RPD so yeah this makes her 10x badass than she already is
2nd she once had a softer yet warm caring personality in the older games in which I really like before Capcom decided to somewhat suddenly retcon her once warm personality into a boss girl attitude personality crap in which I find irritating and annoying, she curses like a total bitch ALOT! in the 3 Remake and that movie Death Island whatever and I don’t find it entertaining in slightest whatsoever
Now I don’t blame Nicole Tompkins for this she’s a great voice actress for sure like many of the previous Jill VA’s before but man I wished Capcom had just given her a better direction for her and the character because at this point I don’t even know who Jill is anymore, currently she has somewhat turned into a girl boss that nobody needs and that pisses me off the most as of now, dunno if Capcom is gonna change this anytime soon but man her sudden change of personality really makes me irk at Jill because she is a great character and it’s so sad seeing her degrade like this (this my point of take so you’re free to agree or disagree whatever lol)
@@johnkamadeva4747 besides the typo in my first sentence, my comment does make sense. So I'm not reading past the first sentence you said. I didn't like Jill that much but Nicoles performance I loved. I love her version of Jill which has given me better appreciation for the other iterations of Jill.

I can understand your point. Jill in the original game or even in the 3rd game wasn't the same as the remake. Remake is more darker and grittier and they gives a special flavour to the character

Fuck 6. Keep the beggining of Leon's campaign because the city in chaos was awesome but the rest needs to be flushed down the toilet

I was able to talk to 2 actors from Cyberpunk, one is Minji Chang who I spoke to last year, she plays Songbird in the DLC. And the other was Jane Perry who plays Rogue but that conversation was also about various other roles she played.
As for Resident Evil, I've done 4 so far including this one
Jill is my favorite resident evil character and tthis chick did amazing voice job. But the game is not good lol. Re3 remake is the worst remake ever. It should have been a dlc to resident evil 2 remake. RE3 remake was nothing like re3 lol.

Majority of my problems I have with 3 remake is the lack of torch light and Jill’s excessive use of profanity. Everything else worked out just fine. However an extra content like items and equipments made Jill into another Milla Jovovich. This instead of side stories as a dlc. What were they thinking? 🤷♂️
That's upto the developers and not the actor. Surely they were going in a different direction and that is fine tbh. I do like this version of Jill

Just finished watching this! Another fantastic interview in books! Nicole such a sweetheart and honestly such a great conversationalist. Cool to hear her thoughts on The Last of Us as well as some other VAs and how she got back into gaming. She's fantastic and I really cannot wait till they do eventually remake RE1/RE5 and hopefully even Revelations. Thanks again!
