迎接主流樂壇出道10周年的「樂壇神話」紅髮艾德 Ed Sheeran，正式宣告繼2017年推出創下全球銷售之最的《÷》(DIVIDE) 專輯之後，將於2021年10月29日發表睽違4年之久的原創專輯。繼《+》(plus)、《x》(multiply)及《÷》(Divide) 等三張專輯之後，維持數學符號的概念、以《=》(Equals) 作為此次專輯之名，紅髮艾德的畫作為底透過紅色色系及各式蝴蝶拼貼做為視覺設計主軸，傳遞「新生」概念。
《=》是紅髮艾德數學符號系列發行的第四張作品，也是截至目前紅髮艾德完成度最高的一張作品，同時也展現屬於一位藝術家的進化及持續在不同領域的挑戰。專輯中的歌曲是在《÷》時代之後、過去四年中陸續完成的創作，透過新專輯可以感受到紅髮艾德對於日常生活中人事物的省思並且闡述不同程度的「愛」(〈The Joker And The Queen〉、〈First Times〉、〈2step〉)；「失去」(〈Visiting Hours〉)；「療癒」(〈Can’t Stop The Rain〉)；「父親身份」(〈Sandman〉、〈Leave Your Life〉〉以及記錄日常和音樂旅程 (〈Tides〉)。藉由今年夏天推出的歡快作品《Bad Habits》首度揭開《=》專輯面紗，封裝了紅髮艾德豐富的音樂色彩、各種特色、吉他為主軸的歌曲以及將民謠基底的音樂加入沉重、欣喜等情緒元素。
〈壞習慣 Bad Habits〉是樂壇神話紅髮艾德Ed Sheeran第五張錄音室專輯《=》的首發單曲。
〈Bad Habits〉MV由曾獲得葛萊美獎肯定的Dave Meyers 執導，在英國倫敦東南部卡特福德的卡特福德中心（Catford Centre）拍攝，導演將紅髮艾德 Ed Sheeran 與吸血鬼夥伴在早晨消逝前的瘋狂夜生活比喻為「壞習慣」。
紅髮艾德 Ed Sheeran 化身吸血鬼，身穿鮮豔的粉紅色西裝在天空中翱翔，並露出他俏皮的獠牙，構想靈感源自歌詞與他對1997年影集《魔法奇兵 (Buffy The Vampire Slayer)》的熱愛。
「三十而立」究竟代表什麼？對於 20 多歲就已叱吒全球樂壇的紅髮艾德 Ed Sheeran 而言，30 歲也許「等於」歡笑和淚水的總和。「這張專輯的主題關於我步入 30 歲、成為父親、失去摯友，以及家庭和工作之間的平衡。」
紅髮艾德 Ed Sheeran表示：「對我來說，這些都意義重大。」從女兒 Lyra Antarctica 誕生，到亦師亦友的音樂夥伴 Michael Gudinski 去世，其中的喜悅和悲痛、獲得與失去，在 Ed Sheeran 人生的新階段中拉扯，也造就出第四張專輯《=》--這張迄今最真實、深刻的作品。
