I’m sitting at a table by the fire in the Ravenclaw common room trying to finish an essay on my last Potions experiment. I have to get up and clear my head, so I walk over to one of the tall arched windows overlooking the grounds and watch the rain streaming down the glass as the occasional lightning flash illuminates the forest and the lake in the distance. A few ideas eventually occur to me, and I go back to the fire and write the last few paragraphs. Finally done, I pack up my supplies and walk up the stairs to the girls’ dorm where I lay down and fall asleep listening to the rain hitting the roof and the purring of my little black cat beside me.

It's cold and rough, but better than being caught at this hour. Curiosity sparks as you wonder who was down the hall. Footsteps fade away until they disappear. You breathe out and continue down the castle's veins, lead by the lumos spell's bright light. Finally, your destination. You breathe in the smell of ancient paper. Books upon books are stacked on tables, chairs, the floor. Some bookshelves are tidy and organized, others more messy with multiple books stacked on eachother in different directions. You go to the intended section: Muggles. It's fascinating, how they've created technology and discovered things about the world and universe. They have such a blinded eye, but they do their best. You grab a book labeled "Muggle's Lifestyle" and flip to 'entertainment'. To your astonishment, you learn that they too are fascinated by other worlds. That they love their world, but strive for more. They can tell there's something missing, something more than finding your soulmate, more than money- _They wish for magic,_ you think as you sit down in a comfy chair, reading by the wand's light, listening to the soft patter of rain. _Oh how interesting they are, those muggles._
I’m in the Gryffindor common room sitting on one of the armchairs that Harry, Ron, and Hermione used to always sit on, the one beside the cackling fire…I have my pjs and my house scarf on…my cat, Lizzie, is cuddled up at my feet…my Advanced Potion-Making book lay open on my lap but I’m not really revising…rather I’m flicking my wand lazily so that the fire is constantly changing colors and each time giving me a new sense of warmth and safety…all while the raindrops hit the window…I feel cozier and happier than ever.

@@koaladelespace not for everyone. While growing up HP was my way to escape reality. It's home, it's shelter... It means the world to me. It helped me survive, it helped me to get away from suicidal thoughts and get into a better mindset. Never understimate other's experience. Not everyone get's a loving family or good family. Many children endured trauma and child abuse and some of those used books as a coping mechanism.

Also, it is true that fantasy and other fiction-based universes of all kinds help people to escape their daily life to feel better, all at different degrees. There are people suffering from circumstances for which they have absolutely no control. My point here is that a great proportion of young people detach themselves from their parents because, well, as teenagers, they feel like growing up and as parents are authority's figures, they will feel frustrated about living under their command. I don't think I have to elaborate; everybody knows that a lot of people enter in conflict with their parents or just do not recognize how important they are in their life; conflicts often lasting over the years. It's only later they will comeback to them with remorse. My comment here was just intended to prevent that, to prevent people to escape from their parents. I am targeting people who might include themselves into the ''i live in a shitty place with shitty people and i wish i'd live at the other side of the planet'', while they are just having a hard time connecting with their parents. I'd go on on the importance of your family members over everything but as my limited experience restricts my point of view, I can only assume that indeed it is not always the case. It seems unreal to me, but I can assume it. (P.S.: when I say the most important people in your life, I don't consider that they are the people who are gonna have the biggest impact in your life by making you doing whatever. All I said comes down to this: do not underestimate the importance of your parents, no matter the feelings you might have for them at the moment. John Williams is such a genius. He managed to create just the right soundtrack for this amazing series. It just gives goosebumps everytime I listen to this. This world, overall, that Rowling created is just so fascinating and nostalgic, even though I read the books for the first time a couple weeks ago. It's already deep in my heart.

I am Captain Chris i suggest you research travelling between realities and astral projection. There are so many different realities that one with hogwarts and harry potter exist. You can travel to it and script a day you’d like to happen. I suggest you do look into astral projection and different realities and scripting. I hope you visit hogwarts too

Us potter heads should create a secret organization or something where we each contribute money (maybe get a sponsorship from a rich person or something too), and build Hogwarts in real life. We have to build it true to the movie depiction, and in a place where weather matches. I say secret because if we didn't keep it secret, everyone would swarm the castle in hopes of "clout" or bragging rights. Only we, the people here would go, and ACTUALLY enjoy it for what it is, not something to post on social media. We could have it in sort of a hotel fashion, so that adults and teens could sort of bond over this, in a not so weird way. (We should have a minimum age requirement set at like 16 or something with parents permission) We could build a massive library and use the classrooms to have discussions, share skills and knowledge. We could use the grounds to grow food too. We could hire some trainers to teach us how to cook and make good meals (obviously, everyone should contribute their own food and what not). Everybody each year would contribute to keep the castle up, food, and other bills to go along with this. A general rule is to keep the grounds and castle clean, and just be respectful. We could also have a group that rotates sort of like a time share, where like 1/4 of the year is spent there, so we have enough people contributing for it to work. If we have people with certain skills that could contribute, electricians, plumbers, wood workers etc., we could really do something with this. We should have activities like we see in the books. Maybe this could be used as a sort of college thing, too, where you can go to culinary school, trade school, and flight school or something. I'm sure the details could be changed and nothing would be perfect but wouldn't that just be so cool? Next step would be building Hogsmeade lmao.

if anyone is wondering that was my first time shifting and i uses a mix of the estelle and the stair method and it worked! i daced with hermione and was able to go to sleep in my dorm room but i was only half way shifted and once i fell asleep i woke up in the Marvel universe and they were all like "what is she doing here?" and i was like o.o and i fell asleep asleep and i didnt go anywhere nor did i dream about anything

Dreams are our escape from reality, the fantastical dreams that we all yearn for. To be special as others, to have what nobody else has, to be destined for greatness. We all dream for it in hopes one day it becomes reality.
When you're in your early 30's like me and grew up as the original books and films came out, nothing stirs up feelings of wistful nostalgia more than Hedwig's Theme and other pieces of HP music. I think part of the reason the series remains so popular is because as the world becomes increasingly dark and grim, we all just want to escape and believe in magic more than ever. ⚡
I totally agree i was 11 years old when i walked into the theater of nov 11, 2001 kapolei, Oahu (Hawai'i). Im now 30 and i have my own Harry Potter room where Hedwig's theme plays constantly. It puts my 3 dogs and cat to sleep lol as well as my husband.....i still have the VERY 1st copy of the Sorcerors Stone that my sister gave me in September 1997. Listening to this while studying for my last year at school. being a senior is really hard and stressful, struggling with depression and anxiety while preparing for your future is so overwhelming, but I'm trying my best to keep going to keep trying to study harder, everyday is another challenge another obstacle but hopefully I can get through this and turn out great. I’m sitting at a table by the fire in the Ravenclaw common room trying to finish an essay on my last Potions experiment. I have to get up and clear my head, so I walk over to one of the tall arched windows overlooking the grounds and watch the rain streaming down the glass as the occasional lightning flash illuminates the forest and the lake in the distance. A few ideas eventually occur to me, and I go back to the fire and write the last few paragraphs. Finally done, I pack up my supplies and walk up the stairs to the girls’ dorm where I lay down and fall asleep listening to the rain hitting the roof and the purring of my little black cat beside me.

4 Years later we play Hogwarts Legacy. I love it as a Potterhead!
I mostly just run around and look at hogwarts and hogsmeade from different angles and in different lightings. When i first went to the boat house it stung a little… i‘m so so thankful for this game and my pc for being so strong and resillient 😌😂🥰
The corridors were dark and empty, the only sound was the storm echoing inside. A crack of thunder sounds as you round the corner, checking if anyone is there.
The coast is clear.
You start walking down the stone pathway, passing windows being pelted with rain. You inhale the smell, enjoying its unusualness yet familiarity.
You pull your wand out from under your cloak, whispering 'lumos'. A white light ignites at the tip. You continue down the corridor, listening to the storm. You round another corner without windows. You almost miss them; you could've stared at them for ages, mesmerized.
The hallway becomes colder as you travel further into the castle. You shiver slightly, thankful for the cloak's extra layer.
A noise rings out, causing you to halt. You recognize the heavy wooden door's remarkable sound and whisper 'nox'. You're left in almost complete darkness, the only light being moonlight from a far-away window. You push yourself against the stone wall. It's cold and rough, but better than being caught at this hour.
Curiosity sparks as you wonder who was down the hall.
Footsteps fade away until they disappear. You breathe out and continue down the castle's veins, lead by the lumos spell's bright light.
Finally, your destination. You breathe in the smell of ancient paper. Books upon books are stacked on tables, chairs, the floor. Some bookshelves are tidy and organized, others more messy with multiple books stacked on eachother in different directions. You go to the intended section: Muggles.
It's fascinating, how they've created technology and discovered things about the world and universe.
They have such a blinded eye, but they do their best.
You grab a book labeled "Muggle's Lifestyle" and flip to 'entertainment'.
To your astonishment, you learn that they too are fascinated by other worlds. That they love their world, but strive for more. They can tell there's something missing, something more than finding your soulmate, more than money-
_They wish for magic,_ you think as you sit down in a comfy chair, reading by the wand's light, listening to the soft patter of rain. _Oh how interesting they are, those muggles._

In my transfiguration exam I had to transform a cat in a cupboard. The legs of the cupboard had claws, but I passed.

While growing up HP was my way to escape reality. It's home, it's shelter... It means the world to me. It helped me survive, it helped me to get away from suicidal thoughts and get into a better mindset.
Never understimate other's experience. Not everyone get's a loving family or good family.
Many children endured trauma and child abuse and some of those used books as a coping mechanism.

Also, it is true that fantasy and other fiction-based universes of all kinds help people to escape their daily life to feel better, all at different degrees. There are people suffering from circumstances for which they have absolutely no control.
My point here is that a great proportion of young people detach themselves from their parents because, well, as teenagers, they feel like growing up and as parents are authority's figures, they will feel frustrated about living under their command. I don't think I have to elaborate; everybody knows that a lot of people enter in conflict with their parents or just do not recognize how important they are in their life; conflicts often lasting over the years. It's only later they will comeback to them with remorse.
My comment here was just intended to prevent that, to prevent people to escape from their parents. I am targeting people who might include themselves into the ''i live in a shitty place with shitty people and i wish i'd live at the other side of the planet'', while they are just having a hard time connecting with their parents.
I'd go on on the importance of your family members over everything but as my limited experience restricts my point of view, I can only assume that indeed it is not always the case. It seems unreal to me, but I can assume it. (P.S.: when I say the most important people in your life, I don't consider that they are the people who are gonna have the biggest impact in your life by making you doing whatever. All I said comes down to this: do not underestimate the importance of your parents, no matter the feelings you might have for them at the moment. But then there are exceptional cases, mentioned earlier. And I can't extend myself in this field.)

John Williams is such a genius. He managed to create just the right soundtrack for this amazing series. It just gives goosebumps everytime I listen to this. This world, overall, that Rowling created is just so fascinating and nostalgic, even though I read the books for the first time a couple weeks ago. It's already deep in my heart.

Us potter heads should create a secret organization or something where we each contribute money (maybe get a sponsorship from a rich person or something too), and build Hogwarts in real life. We have to build it true to the movie depiction, and in a place where weather matches. I say secret because if we didn't keep it secret, everyone would swarm the castle in hopes of "clout" or bragging rights. Only we, the people here would go, and ACTUALLY enjoy it for what it is, not something to post on social media. We could have it in sort of a hotel fashion, so that adults and teens could sort of bond over this, in a not so weird way. (We should have a minimum age requirement set at like 16 or something with parents permission) We could build a massive library and use the classrooms to have discussions, share skills and knowledge. We could use the grounds to grow food too. We could hire some trainers to teach us how to cook and make good meals (obviously, everyone should contribute their own food and what not). Everybody each year would contribute to keep the castle up, food, and other bills to go along with this. A general rule is to keep the grounds and castle clean, and just be respectful. We could also have a group that rotates sort of like a time share, where like 1/4 of the year is spent there, so we have enough people contributing for it to work. If we have people with certain skills that could contribute, electricians, plumbers, wood workers etc., we could really do something with this. We should have activities like we see in the books. Maybe this could be used as a sort of college thing, too, where you can go to culinary school, trade school, and flight school or something. I'm sure the details could be changed and nothing would be perfect but wouldn't that just be so cool? Next step would be building Hogsmeade lmao.

if anyone is wondering that was my first time shifting and i uses a mix of the estelle and the stair method and it worked! i daced with hermione and was able to go to sleep in my dorm room but i was only half way shifted and once i fell asleep i woke up in the Marvel universe and they were all like "what is she doing here?" and i was like o.o and i fell asleep asleep and i didnt go anywhere nor did i dream about anything

When you're in your early 30's like me and grew up as the original books and films came out, nothing stirs up feelings of wistful nostalgia more than Hedwig's Theme and other pieces of HP music. I think part of the reason the series remains so popular is because as the world becomes increasingly dark and grim, we all just want to escape and believe in magic more than ever. ⚡

I totally agree i was 11 years old when i walked into the theater of nov 11, 2001 kapolei, Oahu (Hawai'i). Im now 30 and i have my own Harry Potter room where Hedwig's theme plays constantly. It puts my 3 dogs and cat to sleep lol as well as my husband.....i still have the VERY 1st copy of the Sorcerors Stone that my sister gave me in September 1997. Listening to this while studying for my last year at school. being a senior is really hard and stressful, struggling with depression and anxiety while preparing for your future is so overwhelming, but I'm trying my best to keep going to keep trying to study harder, everyday is another challenge another obstacle but hopefully I can get through this and turn out great. So thank u for making this it really helps me feel at ease while I'm studying the music takes me back to the happy memories I had while watching the trio and its kinda silly but I imagine myself there studying in the library with hermione she is such an inspiration to me.

I feel the same but about growing up. I know I will never be a kid again and that makes me really sad. Just a few years back and I would be so happy. I don’t mind being 18 though, as long as I stay 18!

Yes!!! I understand how you feel! I pulled an allnighter today because I had a uni assignment due and at 5:30am i needed to clear my head for a bit so I chucked this on with a pair of headphones whilst watching dawn outside my window and honestly it gives you a full on mix of emotions!
