  • This is my experience of becoming a mum at 38. I would have loved to be a younger mum but life didn't grant me that. I love being a mum and the craziness that life throws at you as a mum.

Loved hearing your honesty and authenticity. I do applaud that you took time to establish your marriage first; so many people rush right into children and it changes everything, and I feel like it's so important to really bond your marriage first.

I wish I'd had longer to just be married, but it wasn't meant to be.

What a great, honest video. I love how things worked out for you, even if it wasn't exactly how you had planned. I had to laugh when you said you used to be annoyed by mums who only talked about your kids and now you're that person. I was too - but kids just take over your brain!

Kids really do take over your brain, it's so hard to talk about something else when your ever moment is spent doing for them or worrying about them

It's not easy having children when you're older. I feel like I've set in my ways and having a child really messes with that haha. But I do love having him.

It's definitely hard living a part, we've done it a couple of times now and I don't think it has gotten any easier. I had my 5th when I was 35, I was so tired (the others I had before 30), so no, I don't think it was just you lol. Great video.

I know I definitely have less energy now than in my 20s.I hope I don't have to spend any more time living apart from my hubby. I don't know how families do it when there's also children.

This is a great and honest video. One of my best friends was in her mid 40's before she became a mum, for the same reasons you state. Thanks for linking up with YourRUclips.

Yes I have a friend in her mid 40s about to become a mum for the first time, so special for her.
