We’re back with another home tour and I’m thrilled to be sharing one so amazing. If you’re new to the Farmhouse Living blog, once a month mom and I share a home tour of another homebody that has tons of inspiration to give.

Shiplap not out of style. I absolutely love that house from the inside and out,she put a lot of love in there.
I dont think shiplap is out of style. I found some peel and stick shiplap at 9th and Vine. So easy to install. This house is GORGEOUS!! I'm currently building a black and white home with a great front porch so this video gives me so many ideas. TFS

I think shiplap is getting over done! I see it on every designer Instagram account! It’s nice to see it as a special moment in some part of a home but now it’s slapped into so many walls and rooms in a house that it takes the wow factor away!

What do I say? The whole house is so put together. She has done a great job . covering up doors. How crazy is that and It is such a great idea. We are always so afraid of doing something wrong. My Mom put her furniture in one place and it stayed there till it wore out. I am not that bad. She gave me idea's I can use now. Thank you for the tour. Joyce

Guys people with 100 yr homes have shiplap that was installed by our pioneers, you gonna tell me you wouldn’t want that 😂🤣. It’s timeless and people will continue to replicate in their homes 🤗💕

Fiddle Figs lose leaves whenever you move them to a new location, but once they adapt the leaves will come back. 😉 Be sure not to over water, stick your finger all the way into the soil and don't water if you feel any moisture. Always best to let it dry out a little.

I'm not a huge fan of shiplap,however it looks really good in this house! Besides it's her home,if she loves it that is all that matters!

Lovely home. I do dislike when a dining chair is straddling a table leg that sticks out. Too many chairs at the table. Maybe saving up to buy 6 chairs that are quality and fit the table would work.

I had a carpenter build real shiplap on my breakfast room walls. They are interlocking and not spaced by a nickel. That is the cheaper way to do it. My shiplap is what they use to do on the ships.
Yes! The real deal is how to pull off shiplap. The faux shiplap is where it was overdone. I bet your breakfast room looks amazing. Thanks so much for watching Janice!

I definitely prefer using faux plants, trees, & flowers. I do not have a green thumb. There are realistic faux greenery & flowers out there that look authentic to the real thing!
I agree! I love faux and real. It's so rewarding to see the real thing grow though. I feel like I did something awesome when I get a new leaf on my fiddle leaf fig 😂
