This is almost a Studio Series 86 core class Prime. I'm surprised they didn't just use the peg in the back of the truck mode that holds his gun for the trailer. But i suppose that would hinder it's ability to turn easily. great review!
This is a cool set. I'd love to get the trailer by itself. I've got a nicely upgraded Core Class Optimus already that would look great with a trailer. I'de even get another trailed for my upgraded Core Class Nemesis Prime...
Thanks for the review, mate. I'm in Legend scale Tfs and you have been one of my main reference in the time of deciding which figure to get next. Though I haven't decide yet which brand should I go for as mainline. For the moment, Newage and Magic Square are the core of my collection, with a few Iron Factory (for the Cybertronian looking ones) and MFT (specially for the triple changers). I would love see more comparations of same characters in different brands (like your vs videos - also awesome). For instance, in this video, I would have love to see some quick comparations (in the scale segment) with some/all the brans mentioned above and/or others (e.g. Dr Wu, MMC, Metagate, etc.). I grabbed this set too, I like it allot for what it is. I believe the deco was going for animated look. They look pretty good, shame they stopped short on the paint apps.
Great review! I'm more impressed seeing this set being reviewed, versus the online images. I agree, there is a lot of playability in this set! My favorite core class is Studio Series Rumble. All the other core class bots, I own, are still in their packaging.
Very thorough review DB great job as always. Hasbro did excellent work with making the set enjoyable for kids to play, and use their creativity. I agree with all your critiques on what the figures were lacking. Issues with deco is small but if Hasbro would have made the effort in the details it would have made a big difference. Favorite Core figures Decepticons Seekers, Autobots Wheelie. Thanks You DB, nice cut, and you look like your trimming down that is Awsome.
I had this pre-ordered. I used to collect core class from Hasbro but now I just cherry pick because I’d rather spend the money on third-party legends, so I passed on this one… Well, canceled the pre-order rather.
yeah i will probably pass on this. i have the other versions of them and am satisfied. These guys are missing some key paint aps =( i dont need a trailer for Prime because it will just sit in a drawer like the rest of the Prime trailers i have. mainly cuz of no space lol i think my favorite core class probably Shockwave(legacy) or Soundwave. Didn't the original g1 optmus gun blue? The core class prime with trailer and bee i would turn the gun back to blue . Rub it back with some metho 👍👍🤔🤔🤨
