Upgrading cheaper guitars is the MOST fun! I do the same with my bridges on Chinese models, Gotoh with conversion posts. Damn! What a difference the pickup change made!
@ I know! Someday I hope to get over there to actually see some of those guitars in person. I’ve always been curious about Blitz by Aria as well as some of the high end Japan Aria guitars that we cannot get here.
I was looking at them too, but couldn’t find any forums about it! Thank you, wish you could talk more about the neck and feel. The epiphones KH Flying V have a chunky C-shaped neck, while the Gibson Flying V’s have a slim tapered neck. I was curious if this one had a slimmer neck, but im guessing its a spec by spec of an epiphone flying v lol
Great question! I totally forgot to talk about the neck! The neck is actually slightly thicker than my Gibson Flying V. I wouldn't say it's chunky but it has some meat to it.
This thing sounds absolutely killer through that black star and I immediately want one. And the amp.
The Blackstar tends to add some aggression to everything that's plugged into it so it might not be the best test amp. But it's fun as hell!
the Schecter Japan stuff is crazy!
One of my instructors in college had this 7 string Jaguar from them that had two hotrails, that thing was insane :)
I never knew Schecter Japan was its own beast! It makes sense since ESP/LTD (same owner as Schecter) does all kinds of Japan exclusives.

Absolutely! I love upgrading. Sometimes I end up selling the guitar but someone gets a great guitar!
Very nice dude! The half cocked wah mod sounds sweet!
Yeah I'm really liking it! I've been listening to some Jeff Watson and he has lots of that half-cock going on. lol.
Nice video! I finally got around to checking it out, I had no idea these exist…talk about going down a rabbit hole!
Thanks Joe! Yeah they have some interesting things over there in Japan!

Nice job love it
Thanks Christine!

If it had block inlays it would be awesome ❤
ESP's japanese brand, Edwards, sells flying v's just like this but with block inlays
The tuners are installed correctly, they just have a different orientation of where the anchor screw is located.
I installed new tuners angled anyway. It didn’t look right at all.
I want a white one
Yeah the white ones seem to be very popular with only a few left. Still lots of black ones left.
You can thank the fine litigious folks at Gibson for the fact you can't get these in the states 🤬
It would have that offset V shape like the regular Shecters. 🤣
