I would not trust google with a pen, let alone my personal details like this... they cant even construct a menu panel correctly, in all these years i don't think you could make menu panels as bad as google... its all over the place by design.... horrendous organization...

I am an individual and I showed my national id card which shows my address and It didn’t accept it, do I resend it? Or is there other document? I’ve never done anything to do with tax before so I might be being stupid but for the individuals it says that you can use Unexpired national ID card issued by government with local address that shows you are a tax resident of the issuing country or a Taxpayer ID card, what is this?
You need to do what I covered in the video - It's a PITA yes, but you need to request that Tax Residency thing - It basically shows that the government have you registered at an address, paying tax. That document is key. I am not sure if there's anything else you can submit - there might be?
Yes they do - make sure the address they have is correct! They should have your current address in relation to any job / taxes you pay, so you should be OK.

Mine was the same! I figured that I would likely need to do this in another 12 months, so I typed in a date 12 months from the receipt of the certificate. That worked!

I didn't need to submit any certificate or anything for the US tax treaty - just google and you will find there is a tax treaty with the US, and copying and pasting that in or selecting the relevant option was all that was required. But I did mine years back, so the US one may have changed.

@@travelguy8431 Sorry, my mistake! I think spelling of names has to be the same for first and last. It's easy to accidentally use a short version of first name in one place and not in another - and that seems to cause issue.
And then they reject it saying that the certificate doesn't match thepayment profile, without saying what exactly doesn't match, even though everything actually matches... So frustrating.
They don't - mine didn't! When you fill the web page in to submit it, put 2025 as expiry! Whether that means I will need to do the same again next year, I am not sure, but that's how mine was approved - despite the fact the cert has no expiry date on it.

I take it i'll still get the income generated from US and rest of the world ads, just not from Ireland generated income, right? Thanks again.
I think so... But honestly I wouldn't be surprised if they just froze payments entirely until you sort it out. Best to sort it one way or another and not risk payments.
@@GadgetUK164 I'm not from UK, but my country has treaty, still most of us small youtubers never paid tax in our country as revenu to small to do that as a TIN we used ID number for USA Tax treaty, I asume were they say Tax ID numbers optional we still have to put it for this to work.

This isn’t for the Ireland or USA one by the way. It is for the United Kingdom one

Honestly I am not sure - you would need to check your government tax website to see if Netherlands have a tax treaty with Ireland!

An update from me - mine came through, all processed fine!

I'd be screwed most portals can't fit my full name.
My cert did not have an expiry so rejected, sent my tax id card with photo again rejected.

For simple individuals that don't have tax nr. doesen't it work with just the passport or ID picture>?
Everyone has a NI number, and a tax number as far as I know!
