and they never used this soundtrack ever again in all the sequels. this was a great soundtrack too.
Didn’t Extinction used a little bit of this theme? I’m probably wrong haha
@@zombiekiller9503 no you’re right ! They used a variation, and in afterlife same they mix a song with this theme.
No you're right.
There was another version of it in extinction.
It still sounds amazing twenty years later.
The sequels are horse shit, the OG movie is the real deal.
Love this 2000’s movies atmosphere
assustadora a atmosfera desse filme.
To me this is the perfect song for every RE, especially the videogames.
🤣
@@faustofaustino644you are clown🤣
@@alx2903 feo 😂😂
Naw, the games soundtracks are way better
This was such a unique tune to start the RE movies with. Arguably one of the more memorable tunes for the franchise as a whole.
Can't believe this was only used in the first film. Theme was incredible.
тот факт что это не стало мейнстримом подарило нам уникальность.
YEESSSSSSSS! AMAZING

I remember the 1st movie looked so cool in the commercials. I was in middle school at the time. So my grandma had to take me to see it in theaters. She was terrified. I was happy.
I remember too buying the VHS cassete 1 year after release in a Market. The laserscene definetly fucked me up for like 7 days and disorted me completly.
@@ElectronicHouseFlash since that was all CGI I didn’t react much to it. But when I was 9 when the original Robocop came out, and the guy gets shot to pieces by ED209 after not registering he’s dropped the gun, and all the splatter was practical effects it looked so much more real that it made me hide behind the chair and only looked after I heard the shooting stopped xD
This scene ruclips.net/video/ZFvqDaFpXeM/видео.html
@@ChandaniAranka That was brutal - made a big impact on me, too. It turns out that the scene was supposed to be even longer. The director wanted the gunfire to last a ridiculously long time, but they decided to cut it down after it made the censors uncomfortable, which was the point. He later went on to direct "Starship Troopers" which had the most realistic combat dead bodies I've ever seen in a movie.
EDIT: Ah - you put a link to the extended version. Legit. The original version is here: ruclips.net/video/_UNJNH7UFjU/видео.html. It's funny how much of a difference six seconds makes.
@@doggonemess1 yeah I saw the unedited film actually xD as a 9-11 years old together with my parents xD
Send Grandma to me...she will be happy again.
Okay. THIS is a piece of music that I would actually like to hear in a Resident Evil game at some point. If Capcom ever does another remake of the original game, I sincerely hope that they put this theme in there somewhere. It's creepy and atmospheric as all hell and perfectly fits the tone of the early games in the series.
They can’t unless they pay Marilyn Manson.
It fits the resi vibes perfectly
Have you ever heard MK ost from movie in the games? The same here: different tempo between the game and this movie. In RE game this music will be ridiculous
@@MaddStone They could use it for the credits or something
@@barastyr344 wich one? RE1 - grotesque mansion, low tempo, classic horror and 30% of techno horror. I don`r think so. RE2 (remake) - urban zombie horror and 40% of techno horror, middle tempo, well probably some motive from this theme... but you know what, this motive WAS in original RE2. RE3 - same story, middle tempo, but to much drama in the end. No. RE4 - cmon) this theme?) RE5 - too fast and too much action for this music. RE6 - Multiply the previous sentence by 2. RE7 - watch RE1, RE8 - watch RE4...
This track perfectly encapsulates the dangers of the T-Virus, it's amazing.

The first movie was acceptable even if they didn't include any character from the videogames...the movie had the same essence of a real resident evil work
What about The final chapter? I felt like they got the mix of a good resident evil movie with the last one too, the other ones are just enjoyable ignoring the movie connections
@trikafta what the fuck does thay video have to do with this lol
@@Baaru
for me, that movie was a mess. whoever edited that needs to up their game, the jump cuts gave me headaches.
@@lrcbn understandable, we have opinions
@@Baaru to be honest, these were my fav movies of all time before I played the games. I still watch them again sometimes but after playing the games themselves I even wonder why those movies are named resident evil?
I always enjoyed the first movie
Sadly, can't say the same about the others....
Same here! I hated the first 2 sequels I saw and gave up.
Same here too
here too
yeah, same. felt like they got too crazy with them.
First one I saw was the first resident evil movie and I can't say I liked it. I don't know why it just didn't seem too good. I like the second resident evil movie better but looking back on it every RE movie and game is better then RE 7 and four the T-virus needs to be brought back I miss the epicness of Umbrella (If Hunk were in seven the game would be over in about 10 seconds at the least 1 minute at the most and every one but Hunk would be dead) And to hear that amazing "S.T.A.R.S..." Quote, maned where did we go and what the hell happen to the G- virus why wasn't it featured again. To me it seems like RE is still dead. The newest RE movie with Alice how ever brought it back and with how RE seven played out 8 will more then likely kill the series again. I just didn't like RE7 being the way it was. I liked the horror aspect but it lacks in what made RE RE I just don't see 8 being any good unless they bring back the T-virus and considering that Umbrella is back yeah.... I hope they bring the T-virus back since umbrella wouldn't just let all that work go to waste. Hunk was cool I'd rather have a RE game where you play as Hunk fighting zombies in a small town fighting to be evaded with the samples of the T-virus or killing survivors and destroying evidence after the rest of you're team is killed off. That would be great in first person and there's no way Hunk could have died he's too bad ass to. Mr. Death is a well known name for Hunk as that's his call sign.
My god, this is a masterpiece. This gives some eerie and mysterious feelings unlike any other piece of music I’ve ever heard. Just absolutely genius. My only complaint is that it’s not 10 minutes long….
1:20 that build up is freaking legendary.
This will forever be my ring tone.
I only hear it for 1 second and I immediately got goosebumps all over my body. 😀😍
I wish I have an ice cream truck to put this song hahahahahahha
Fucking GENIUS here.👍
+AKIRA STORM Haha genius

AKIRA STORM I would by Ice cream everyday you would come 😉
1:23 the Drum like sound is the best
This is so fucking sick. Everything about this production is interesting. The way the drums towards the end are mixed; the synth they used for main keys. So good.
I watched this movie for the first time the other day and have had this tune in my head ever since lol
Pretty good movie! I've never played the games (I'm well aware that this is not indicative of what's in the games exactly), but I did enjoy what I saw!
He should have made this longer 😍😍😍

My friend had gotten the 2nd movie abroad right the day when it came out and flown back home with it. We were super excited and played it on a huge projector system & theater surround audio....
5 minutes into the movie and everyone was already shouting and throwing popcorn at the screen! Haha what an anticlimax.
This gave the Resident Evil movie, a legit horror vibe
The movie had horror, written all over it - the rest of the RE Films - they're good, but are more kinda action / adventure, with horror elements

Buen Soundtrack, a comparación de otros temas de otras películas este tiene algo diferente y unico
Ngl this soundtrack should've gotten at least a Oscar nod, the originality of this of this album was outstanding
This distortion sound in between the melody reminds me a lot of those old demoone graphic showcases for the original playstation.
The theme score is great I got John Carpenter vibes from this
Amo esse toque
This soundtrack is so iconic and brilliant
This is so haunting!
E bravo Marchetto...
Just rewatched this movie as it came to Netflix and while it hasn't aged well, the soundtrack is still one of the coolest and mildly haunting soundtracks out there.
Bruh i just remembered this. This shit hard af
I will never agree with those who accuse this movie of being bad just because its not identical to the games.I remember the first time I watched it, I always loved this movie cause I never cared if it wasnt the exactly copy of the game, for me it has the essency of Resident Evil, and its a great survival horror story, and its enough.
Love these movies so much. They're just great fun!
I love this piece, is art. Actually, the entire movie saga has its magic, if we understand that more than being a Resident Evil saga, it takes elements from Resident Evil.
Most amazing fucking soundtrack.
Now, if Anderson put as much effort as he did in the first two films, I'd be happier.
This movie was the best in the on screen series and this soundtrack is one of the best re songs I’ve heard

The film's score and soundtrack were composed by Marco Beltrami and Marilyn Manson during mid-2001. Manson described the score and soundtrack as being more "electronic" than his previous work.
As a matter of fact, Marilyn Manson did the Ost
Renton90 It was multiple composers. Marilyn Manson, Marco Beltrami and Kevin Menthei but he's uncredited. Lots of great ideas and thought went into the first movies music. The rest was nowhere near as memorable and they should have stuck with the themes Marilyn and Marco composed to keep the feeling of the first movie alive.

@@azureus6826 RE 4 we can also call it Call of Evil from that point in the video game series.

Muy buena
this movie was actually close to the game Original concept "Survival horror" "Limited Ammo", Trapped under ground....T-virus.....etc etc
This song needs be in a trailer of a horror Game
I like how, further down the line of tracks, fewer and fewer people remain, fake fans drop out who do not understand anything and talk nonsense like that the music is better than the movie or this song is ideal for games, etc. Only true fans remain until the end of the soundtrack. They spend their whole lives looking for tracks that are not included in the official list and listen not only to the well-known and hackneyed main theme, but also to the hidden gems of this masterpiece soundtrack. They know the true value of this creation
