Shelties are such a treat. Until you’ve owned one you just can’t understand it has a blessing they are. Sorry for your loss but you were so blessed to have her 18 years ❤️❤️
@@torinelson1 I posted quite a while ago & just gave an update. I wanted to let you know the encouragement gained from YOUR video & replies received caused me not to give up. We got out Sheltie Boy shortly after watching your video. You can read my reply above. ❤️
Tori - this is the BEST sheltie video EVER! I love the music especially. We have had Shelties for the past 27 years and they would do all the activities you captured in the video….it is very heart warming and pure joy to watch. It would be great if you could make another video with Comet at his present age….anyway, thanks so much!🐾
Had our sweet Andrew for 17 years. Sweet sweet but never figured out he wasn’t gonna catch that darn golf cart! They are barkers for sure but herders do that. He actually laid down and passed peacefully going down the yard stairs to get those darn golfers❤
Our beautiful Sheltie crossed the Rainbow Bridge exactly one year ago. She was 15 yrs 3 months. We've been searching for another Shetland Sheepdog with no success yet. Hubby is healthcare provider & time is scarce. We've contacted a few breeders. No puppies. THANK YOU for posting this video. Shelties are, indeed, extraordinary ❤ 🐕 🐾
I have had great success with Sheltie Rescue in my state, and most states have them. You may not get a puppy, but I have had mine for years, and they have been amazing!
You’re welcome. I’m sorry for your loss and I know how hard it is to lose your baby. I hope you’ve managed to find one since you commented. We got him in Greenville, SC and I found his breeder through Sheltie Facebook groups. I’m in several and there is a huge community of Sheltie lovers and several breeders in the group. It seems very easy to find a breeder and puppies by going through the groups. I’ve found that rescue shelties are tough to find. They don’t stay in a typical shelter bc a Sheltie rescue will pull them out and they’re in high demand (even seniors) and they’re very selective about adoption. I managed to adopt my Sheltie before Comet from a rescue but he was a senior with cancer. I only had him for one year. I hope you can find one!! ❤️
@@torinelson1 hi sir its a pleasure to watch your wonderful video plz dont hive up try every day and make videos one day your gonna be q happy vlogger family im a kid and it i can find happiness in my little kid heart then you can be a vlogger dont give up when you ever feel doubt just rember be who you wanna be from a little kid with a big heart
Absolutely beautiful baby ! I have 2 of them...1 a new pup ,black and white Shetland...and 1 that is a Sable...and she is 7 ......luv them so much....! I lost my last Shetland...In Aug.2020..she was an Angle ! Her name was Cricket....!
Sheltie puppies can really sprain, pull or even break their legs on slippery floors, like wood or vinyl. A few small rugs (well anchored to the floor) and some Mushers' Secret salve on his paw pads, really make him more stable while running & jumping.
My first shelti was a dare devil. You really had to watch what he was up to. I was newspaper training him and he came past me after using the papers and there was about a foot and a half of a braid trailing out of his butt. He had an old little braided rug he drug around as a security blanket and ate one of the braids. I was lucky and pulled the rest of it out.
I posted quite a while back on this video about the loss of my Sheltie Girl (15 yrs 3 months) We now have a new Sheltie Boy 🐕 ❤️. Oh my ! It was the LORD that put everything together. I could never have arranged this. He's so beautiful. Truly, Shelties are the best. ❤️
I’m so happy for you and your new pup! Shelties are the best and have a way of making life feel more complete. I’m glad you found my video and all of the sweet people commenting could help you ❤️
We have had 3 Shelties and Teddybear is our third. He’s a year and five months and gorgeous. I loved your video and the music. What happened to his leg? It’s all bandaged up. Our Teddybear has a limp and even after 2 vet trips, he still limps and we don’t have answers yet.
Denise Johnson....Please take your Shelties limp seriously! My 11 year old Sheltie Wendy had a limp that turned out to be Bone Cancer with a Mass in her shoulder and another in her neck. She was in excruciating pain before we had to have her euthanized. Was one of the saddest days of our lives. She was such a sweet, beautiful intelligent girl that we loved with all of our hearts and miss her terribly after a year. RIP Wendy girl.
Two weeks ago he broke it while running outside 😭 we’re spoiling him to pieces and visiting the vet weekly for check-ups. Hopefully in about 4 more weeks he’ll be all better ❤️
Such sweet dogs, I had a Sheltie that lived 18 years. She was my best friend. I miss her everyday.

Love that he does those little kicks while he lays down! Our sheltie is almost a year and a half and he still gets these crazy, laying-down zoomies!
He still does it. They have the cutest mannerisms 😍

Happiness is a sheltie....
He’s my fourth one. I’m hooked for life and my husband is too now 🥰
I tell people if they have never had a Sheltie friend they will know the love and what they missed. I can't imagine being without my Sheltie "Karmen"
