Shouldn't be. He was a trickster. Oh god...now I've got an image of Loki escaping the Avengers by singing this.
The thing is, Loki's mask is supposed to maximize an individual's repressed personality, Stanley Ipkiss' was that in the inside he was a trickster and a prankster, and that's why when the other dude put it on he turned into an evil fuck.
He was in a really weird place before he appeared in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. And he'd hit rock bottom when he got roped into being in Son of the Mask.
If I were to hear this when I woke up, I would immediately spring up and start my day. Even if I were to get 4 hours of sleep. This song has power.

When I was about 8 (not long after The Mask came out), I was in a schoolyard fight, and when someone had me in a full Nelson I managed to avoid getting kicked in the balls by his friend by doing a sideways hip thrust so the guy kicked his friend instead.

When i was a kid my mother had this movie on VHS and i saw "Bits and pieces" here and there from the movie... I never saw it as an adult until a few years ago but unfortunately i was so deep into a black hole that nothing made me laugh... I then watched this movie at long last in Full length but yeah as i figured out a few months later i was severely depressed and thus the movie didn't even make me smile :/ However i watched it recently again and i finally laughed as much as i would have if i had not been depressed back in the day :) But yeah its like they say "If this doesn't make a man smile/laugh then there is no hope for him" etc... But thankfully i realised when i watched it again that there IS hope for me if you know what i mean ;)
