Ni-ki was a professional dancer who became an idol. He started dancing at 3 y/o, but his professional career started since he was 5 y/o until he was 13 years old (the time he became a Belift's Lab trainee). Ni-ki competed in various dance competitions and was a backup dancer for Shinee in Japan. Before becoming a trainee and debuting, Ni-ki was known in Japan and was referred to as Riki Jackson by Japanese media. In addition, he was trained by Japan's top two professional dancers and choreographers, as well as Michael Jackson's choreographer and Chris Brown's choreographer. Ni-ki's parents have a dance academy, so Ni-ki, together with his older and younger sister taught dance classes at the academy until the previous day before his trip to Korea to become a trainee. No one in the 4th generation has his years of experience in dancing, professional career and pre debut recognition as a professional dancer by an entire nation as Ni-ki. That's why he is the best 4th generation dancer and he is only 16 years old now, such a dance prodigy.

Yep, ni-ki is 14 when he is in i-land, heeseung is 19 back then. Also, ni-ki is living up to the nickname given to him "4th gen dance prodigy" and heeseung being the enhypen's ace makes the proudest.
Niki actually being one and only choosen trained by the legend dancer in Japan which is also a dancer for Michael Jackson. So, he is really well known in Japan
