3? 4? Dude this guy did a ton of errors and he still beat it in under 3 (he shaved off some extra wandering but its still under 3). If you know what do do, don't be stupid, and avoid half the fights (which you CAN do) its under 2 hours. He literally didn't find nor use one of the guns and fought nearly everything, also played with a controller which makes turns horridly slow, thus making both navigation and combat slower.
This game is amazing enough to be well worth a watch with this LP. Zdzisław Beksiński has always been my favorite painter since I discovered his work, and I can see some things in this world that are like the developers just took one of his paintings and brought it to life. They did the aesthetic probably the best justice you could possibly do it in a videogame and that is something incredible. Though it has a lot of things that make it look like it's not fun at all, which horror games can do even if they make you uncomfortable. It has several minutes of a literal walking simulator, not just something that's being insulted by being called that. The same puzzles being used multiple times with no justification, like the same ones being more complicated as you progress. The combat also looks like it's just you have a gun that has the range of if you just punched instead and fighting most enemies just involves trying to side step their attack and hit them while your really slow attack rate catches up.
@@twentytwo138 lmao plus it's hard to write just 5 words about a game that the developers meant to leave entirely open to interpretation and is still remarkable even if it had some really negative aspects.

@@InnerRevolutionProject yeah you're right. This game totally doesn't make any sense . However someone told me that the pain worked like the adrenaline that's why he kept stabbing his body to allow him not to passed away .
When I realized that the (awful) shooting parts were much more frequent and annoying than I expected, I lost interest in the game, dropped it and watched the rest here. I'm very happy to have done that. What the hell was the sense of all this? I expected the game to shed some light on the overall mystery towards the end, but it just added more darkness to it.
7 years for a massive pile of disappointment. I was so excited for this game too, but barely 3 hours of playtime for lackluster gameplay and a bad ending is inexcusable.
I've been wondering if theres something in this game that you can do diffrently, like exploring the external part walking to different directions, or trying to giving your back so that acid attacks hit on the parasite I dont know, there is something on that game that tells me that there is something more.
That damn begining puzzle took me two hours, which I looked it up online at the end. If I didn't wasted time with that I would have nearly finished the game.
Looks like some kind of advanced biological-based civilization that for unknown reason seems to have wiped out themselves with this technology. They seems to have developed those parasitic predators purposely to feed of these kinda human-like creatures. It looks obvious that the whole world was subjugated by this parasite and everyone is long time dead. In the end it looks like there's a some sort of hope of salvation after those mystical gates, maybe some form of ecm based field that keeps away those creatures? Dunno. But it seems to represent salvation. The planet itself looks totally devoid of life and pretty much inhospitable. Probably due to this parasite. So, since that form that is parasiting our character can't do that (probably) it's reasonable to say that the true face of this parasite is made out of multiple forms and the real common ground between these is at a genetical level. Probably even those lesser creatures that the player have to fight sometimes are part of it or consequence of mutations to local fauna. This whole thing have the same vibes of those warnings about don't play with nuclear technology. But in a scale far more creepy. I like it. Maybe I can come out with a faction for Stellaris. 🤔 Since these creatures have no mouth, it's possible that they communicate in other ways, maybe telepathy. So it could possibly be that this civilization was a sort of large "hive" with a single mind to direct them while they still kept little individualism and ability to act by themselves as individuals. This could explain why the characters still moves despite the absence of everyone else. I frankly doubt that these creatures was like us. If they was like us, they would have had similar mindset... and until now I think we refuse to go such deep into genetic and biological technology. By the way, the absence of a overmind could also explain why there's a total lack of knowledge about this world. And moreover it is familiar to the concepts exposed by Giger. 🤔 Kinda cool.
Disturbing and old school experience (no map, hud, indicator, storytelling)... This is like bright memory infinite, first product of a newborn studio made by few people. It's far from perfect but it's a super interesting beginning.
The game was incredible, but this playthrough is super frustrating. You’re completely surrounded by incredibly glorious art and cinematic locations and this guy speed runs everything. I could tell multiple times we missed really important animations and set pieces and heck he even missed an entire weapon. I would’ve probably taken almost twice as long to beat this game, because there was just so much incredible level design and beautiful artwork to look at.
I think this game looks amazing because of the hellish atmosphere and the hostile looking environment, it makes the player feel creeped out all the time. However I think the gameplay is a bit weak, the combat is slow and I hate the fetus in a mech boss fight. Also the puzzles are completely boring. I expected there to be spatial puzzles that involves doors, switches, that kind of stuff similar to Portal. I'm quite disappointed when most of the puzzles are in 2D such as the "unblock me" puzzle at the beginning. But ultimately I still recommend this game because the art is so creative and it is a unique experience.
All those fascinated comments just approve that mostly world is braindead. Nothing more than a graphic novell. Its worthy if its demonstartion of a game engine. As a game or a story - it's empty. IMHO.
When the game was on Kickstarter they were very adamant about it only being the two halves (which got condensed into one game when Microsoft bought it as a timed exclusive) and then "Nothing more. Ever." so a sequel is super unlikely unless Microsoft gets pissed and wants a better return on their investment.
Same, stuff like this has always been nightmare fuel for me but at the same time I can't look away. Dude the Akira scene still haunts my dreams some times. I will say though the alpha looked way more grotesque largely due to a brighter atmosphere with less saturation, though this looks more realistic or just artistically a better choice. Now I just need the dev team to tell me WTF is the story behind everything. Only thing I read is large themes about cycle of life and death, some articled linked it to parenthood, other a bit more black and white with the Flesh being invasive virus like as the parasite seems to be nurishing itself off of the protagnist. I want to know what was beyond the gates, and damnit as much as I love somber endings... this one ruined me lol partly depressed and angry....
@@Aequitas887 from other comments it seems that this is a repeating cycle. The protagonist will always try to get out beyond this place but the parasite will want to keep him because he's the only host available.
So what was that dude that came out from that egg @52:08 ?! He looked a lot more developed as a humanoid and in better condition than the protagonist with the rotten teeth and that other thing that came out from that other egg thing in the beginning that was meant for harvesting!

I pre-ordered on steam and now watching a playthough to get through the game because I hate puzzle games lol. I'm not mad at the devs and it's my own fault for not doing research on what the game is and was going to be. The game has the atmosphere to be one of the most bad@$$ sci-fi shooters of all time and it's..... it's well something... I dunno feel like they missed a huge opportunity to make it into gaming history books. I honestly thought it was going to be like the original prey gameplay wise. Oh well. that attach-thingy is the same guy as the first! It has to be. It has the same face when it lays down and got merge with that stuff after the explotions.
I think this guy is the caretaker. And its his job to clean the parasites off , and maintain some kind of working order... forever. Only, to do that he has to be reborn again, and again. Its cyclical.

Hense why it is not an $80 game and is $50
When you play it, it takes way longer. A lot of times I didn't know what I was supposed to do...and spent a lot of time exploring.
@@sinofren8406 50$ is still much, especially for eastern europe standards.... like its just 2 hours....
@@ChochoLevi oooooh, that's some stuff I wanted to hear. Hm, it'll be worth the journey then!
@@sinofren8406 I didn't know that. Good on it only being 50.
really excited to see the walkthrough! you came out with it so fast! thanks for that because I don't think I was going to play but was still interested in the story. love your walkthroughs
only issues i had with the game is the stutter between areas creates a strange motion blu for a sec . this really is a puzzle game with horror / body horror elements it feels other worldly like a nightmare on an alien planet.

awesome game :) I like the H.R. Giger vibes .... biomechanical devices of unknown purpose^^
the atmosphere of this game is stunning
After completed the game, I asked myself "What the f*ck did i just play"
good for you
Thx for the walktrough !
This game really gets the feeling of living in a meanigless alien world full of unending agony and scorn for life. Its depressing and dissapointing, just like growing up in Serbia. Devs are serbs, so.
what a great "game". it gave me a H.R. Giger feeling...gameplay was a bit soft for me. expected a little more, but the graphics...WOW..they blow my mind. the attention for detail, even the wet look from some fleshparts..amazing..thanx for this walkthrough..it was quite a journey..
This game is about 4 hours.
But, if you know what to do, it’s less than 3.
Kept us waiting since 2014.
But: it’s better than AGONY.
@@mkzhero HEY NINNY - that's EXACTLY WHAT I SAID.
LESS THAN 3 means ANYTHING FROM 0 - 3
Next time you want to make a STUPID FKING COMMENT, DON'T.
The combat also looks like it's just you have a gun that has the range of if you just punched instead and fighting most enemies just involves trying to side step their attack and hit them while your really slow attack rate catches up.
the gun problem is actually cus he missed them, a lot XD
no ones reading that essay
It's more Giger that Beksinski, honestly
@@coldnightmare199 It's really not that long.. You should learn how to read, develop your brain a little bit
@@twentytwo138 lmao plus it's hard to write just 5 words about a game that the developers meant to leave entirely open to interpretation and is still remarkable even if it had some really negative aspects.
I really like this game it's mysterious and deep. But I don't like the ending, I really wished a good end for him he suffered so much from this parasite. But what I didn't understand is that why he kept stabbing his body with that knife in 2:33:56 ?
that's the only thing you did not understand? :D
But yeah, I was also pretty confused about that too.
@@InnerRevolutionProject yeah you're right. This game totally doesn't make any sense . However someone told me that the pain worked like the adrenaline that's why he kept stabbing his body to allow him not to passed away .
@@NeoV4ndole it's actually "door to immortality or heaven " according to an opinion of a youtuber:) but it makes sense somehow!

The Gamedev we didn't deserve
Commend this man for putting no ads in the entire video
7 years for a massive pile of disappointment. I was so excited for this game too, but barely 3 hours of playtime for lackluster gameplay and a bad ending is inexcusable.
This whole game is a giant sexual innuendo
.
There’s a lot of penis-like formation in this game
What a crazy game! Wow… that ending leaves me feeling scornful.
"It's scorning time."
- Scorn-man from Scorn
I've been wondering if theres something in this game that you can do diffrently, like exploring the external part walking to different directions, or trying to giving your back so that acid attacks hit on the parasite I dont know, there is something on that game that tells me that there is something more.
there isn't they really wasted 8 years of development just for 2 hours of gameplay
@@coldnightmare199 >wasted
bruh
Yes,it does wasted
That damn begining puzzle took me two hours, which I looked it up online at the end. If I didn't wasted time with that I would have nearly finished the game.
All that work to end up like that? This game needs more explanation then the alien saga.
I think he’s stuck in a time loop
Since these creatures have no mouth, it's possible that they communicate in other ways, maybe telepathy.
Kinda cool.
7 years, 3 console jumps, for 2 hours of nothing. It's Duke Nukem forever all over again.
devs really ripped off a visual style and thought "yep this is enough for a full video game"
Disturbing and old school experience (no map, hud, indicator, storytelling)... This is like bright memory infinite, first product of a newborn studio made by few people. It's far from perfect but it's a super interesting beginning.
All that struggle just to catch a glimpse of paradise
1:12:35 Gun right in front of you. You missed the gun for the entire game
Thanks for video...i waited so much...
I’m missing one of the lights for the key on 2:20:42, I don’t know where I missed It
I think this game looks amazing because of the hellish atmosphere and the hostile looking environment, it makes the player feel creeped out all the time.
IMHO.
I feel sad at the ending :(
I hope there will be part 2 of this game
I don't think there are happy endings on this biomechanical-grimdark universe.
When the game was on Kickstarter they were very adamant about it only being the two halves (which got condensed into one game when Microsoft bought it as a timed exclusive) and then "Nothing more. Ever." so a sequel is super unlikely unless Microsoft gets pissed and wants a better return on their investment.
@@Drakith90 When people were asking in twitter they kinda vaguely hinted the might do more. Lets hope they do.
I don't know why but this game terrifies me because of the grotesque stuff. But it's amazing
This game is very disappointing, a huge let down to say the least. I didn't wait 6 years and spent 44 dollars for a 2 hour game
thats was the goal btw :D
@@ka-boom2083 then you should have waited for a discount or waited to see a video like this to know how many hours it takes to complete it
Same, stuff like this has always been nightmare fuel for me but at the same time I can't look away.
The protagonist will always try to get out beyond this place but the parasite will want to keep him because he's the only host available.
this game gives prometheus vibes
This!
It was inspired by Gigers drawings that also made the Alien)
Well the engineer dude from Prometheus makes a cameo right there @52:08 :D LoL!He's the most developed looking humanoid in the game!

Monitor arms
So what was that dude that came out from that egg @52:08 ?! He looked a lot more developed as a humanoid and in better condition than the protagonist with the rotten teeth and that other thing that came out from that other egg thing in the beginning that was meant for harvesting!
Someone was kneed eep in H. R. Giger's art and style. This artwork is amazing!
This game is a 10 out of 10. Best 1st person shooter ever.
More of a quest than a shooter, really… Like, a quest with bits of shooting here and there, to add spice.
Everyone's entitled to their opinion, but I wish people had a base for theirs...
Back in the 1970s Emerson Lake and Palmer did an album called Brain Salad Surgery, the artwork on the cover reminds me of the artwork in this game
For a game many were waiting for years, it has a short playtime.
Well if it wasn't for playthroughs it might take me 100 hours lol. Because I couldn't even get past the 1st puzzle. Wondering around for over an hour.
@@shortyorc121 same here lol. I hate these kind of puzzles
But what it makes up for that is its world design and creativity
For a game we waited years for the trailor shows way more combat than this has and honestly most people are let down idk what these creators don't get we don't mind puzzles but a 85% puzzle game with 5% combat and 10% walking around empty spaces this games a flop
@@tylercrain2831 to be honest I'm disappointed I was so hyped about scorn with trailers from years ago... I literally forgot all about the game and just assumed it got canceled, until like a few days ago I seen it was releaseing on the 14th.
Oh well. The atmosphere and art design and creativity was worth the money to experience it.

So glad I got to be the first to see this since I had to work this morning. Love your videos Shirrako keep it up!
Interesting, he brought an infection there where it had not yet touched ground. Way to go, good job.
Why does the scythe keep needlessly cutting that corpse at the end there lol
Only speculation but maybe to create a shock so blood keeps flowing or somethingg
I was wondering this too
@Shoddie1989 maybe a death ritual transitioning you into the hive mind to ascend into the final desired form, an alien brain squid bat
@user-su2ji9qy6j good as an explanation as any lol
This game i see before in a other video 😃🤩🤩🤩🤩😃😁😁Its incredible
One of the most disturbing game I have ever seen. Puzzles are hard, Maze and enemy's are tough. Weapon is to weak. Makes the game great.
that attach-thingy is the same guy as the first! It has to be. It has the same face when it lays down and got merge with that stuff after the explotions.
I think this guy is the caretaker. And its his job to clean the parasites off , and maintain some kind of working order... forever. Only, to do that he has to be reborn again, and again. Its cyclical.
@@louiskellam8344 Ooh, thats an idea! 🙂
I have no idea what do do. I know to much tips and tutorials does not accompanies the athmoshpere of this game. But still game designers need to guide the player throughout the game in some way or another.

Looks incredible but the gameplay is so shit there’s nothing happening in the entire game… no story no anything.
There is some story in there actually, but yeah, its more of a dark souls kind of 'story' that's more of a backstory instead that you're supposed to figure out if you REALLY look for it lol.
Scorn guy doesn't have mouth so he can't tell you a tale
It’s also mostly corridors and crappy enemies. The good parts are so scattered, with the middle part mostly a train wreck
