Sounds like starlink is the go, although the coverage map doesn’t show service across the top of Oz, also have read that service with starlink RV is on “best efforts”

Hi Paul, Katie & Jasper - Thank you for your shows and in particular the report on Starlink ! We also have been "On the Road" for nearly 6 years and also have Starlink RV Internet service - A few questions regarding Starlink as I am ready to set ours up. Did Zone RV caravans do the installation for you ? I did notice that you were using the satelight dish on the roof of your truck ? Perhaps you might elaborate a bit more bout how you have set up your Starlink Internet !

Nice video guys, looks like you put so much effort into editing. Yeh that fuel usage is quite high aye, we only use half that towing our caravan around aus. We are averaging around 12-13 l/100km. Thanks for the update on starlink, will definitely consider getting one of those in the future, gamechanger for sure.
    Cheers

Amazing to see the wet out west. It’s only going to get wetter unfortunately. It’s not a truck. It’s a 79 Ute. Might be a great ute but it’s not a truck. Truck for a ute is an American term. Good old Ute is Aussie. Please stick with the Aussie definition of the 79 😊 Starlink I think has a little way to go to be fully usable especially for the price. Not every traveller can afford that price, especially with rising fuel costs and groceries costs. We have the Overland exposure setup and have been to many remote places and have only had a couple of places without reception. A more affordable option for many. Love the van, look forward to your video on the 79 Ute 😁 The art place looks amazing. Did a similar thing in Melbourne many years ago. Also love the Nakie story might have to look at buying a hammock. 😊

Loving your video as usual .Re diesel prices , cost in Perth at present (10th October) between $2.00 to $2.20 a litre . Border Village WA/SA $3.05 a litre . Stay safe in the wet .

We went to Killarney on your recommendation. The falls are just delightful. I would like
to know more about the Starlink set up like others have mentioned. Good campsites, Idalia National Park, QLD near Blackall, great walks. Warrumbungles - and Siding Spring Observatory, NSW and Yarrie Lake, visit the Paul Wild Observatory near Narrabri, NSW just to name a couple of interesting places. Also great free camping on the Gwydir River near Bingara, NSW.

Another informative episode guys, with the diesel query about standard and premium, the premium diesel has a higher cetane value, cetane is like the octane value that is used in petrol. If you research the information on diesel fuel cetane you will find what benefits it can add to your vehicle.

Thanks for the Starlink review as we are almost ready to order the RV version. Can you explain how long is the cable you got to be able to move the car away from the van & modem? Are you just using the starlink supplied modem & is it OK? Thank you so much & safe travels 🚙

Premium diesel usually has more detergents that make it foam less and can have more cleaning ability. Australian stds meant that all diesel has to have min centane ratings and max sulphur content.

Hi Paul, Katie & Jasper great to follow your travels, experiences and advice. We are subscribed and have watched every episode at lease once. We are about to set off , for the second trip. This time we are renting our home out. The question is how do you give a fixed address whilst travelling for Driving licence and Medicare kind of things etc? We can’t use relatives addresses. 🤔We have purchased and read your e-book but still don’t know how to manage this!! Can you help? Much appreciated.

Hi Paul & Katie, premium diesel has a higher cetane number ,better lubricity and detergents for injector cleaning and better engine performance. I believe BP warrant their fuel a friend had an issue with water/ dirt causing pump and injector failure BP didn't quibble they paid for the repairs. p.s. I have no affiliation with BP. Toyota vehicle manual recommends the high cetane rating . We enjoyed your content have been to NG pub not a bad spot we are definitely going to go to gallery at the G.C. cheers Ian.

Yet another great video. Being late September you were just starting the crazy floods out west. I was amazed on the poor fuel consumption on the rig. Thought it would have been better than the hilux. I have one gripe. We’re in Australia. It’s a caravan. Not America. RV. Caravans are Australia’s holiday homes. Keep up the great work. Stay safe out in that poor weather guys.

At the age of 54, I have suddenly found myself able do some solo travelling (thanks ex hubby). I’m tossing up between a Crusader or a ZoneRV, probably the ZoneRV. My questions are for Katie….. Are you able to manage stuff like emptying the composting toilet, attaching hoses, open and close the awning etc? Could you setup and pack up the van on your own? Do you do much towing?

Curious about what made you get a 79 series, was it weight or just the functionality that comes with 79, not the comfort or accessories I know they are a tractor lol
