hello, I would like to know that do you feel any different between heavy gel and regular gel? I saw it too not so different, how about the difference in performance on canvas and drawing? thank you so much!
Hi, I'm looking for a medium that I can put in a squeeze bottle with a syringe tip to make detailed textures. Which one would you recommend? Would the high solid or extra heavy be too thick? Thanks!
I need advice as to how to TOP COAT an acrylic abstract painting I am making using Golden acrylic paint and Golden Heavy Gel Matte. What's the best way TOP professional COAT I can use to PROTECT the piece? Thank you :)
Does it take 2 days to be completely transparent? I'm making a piece with what is supposed to be water, add a thick layer of glass bead gel thinking that when it dries it would become transparent, it has dried but it still looks white
The gels should all dry transparent, the thicker the layer the longer it will take to dry. Maybe if you have used a very thick layer of the glass bead gel, it just hasn't dried out yet.
Hi, with high viscosity acrylic colors, which medium should I use to make the color opaque, denser (but less than a heavvy body), and as covering as possible? please help me!! thank you!
Hi Jack, a medium will be able to thicken up a fluid paint a bit, but would not be able to make a colour more opaque, it would depend on the opacity of the colour you are using as to how opaque the outcome is. Every colour has different opacity properties. If you are looking for something very opaque and covering, you would be best with and Acrylic Gouache.
will the extra heavy gell work good for painting over top of canvas art prints? I would like to add subtle brush stroke textures all over some of my canvas prints so they look more like my original paintings
Hi Carly, any of the gel mediums could be used in this way. However, if you want more subtle brush strokes, maybe not the extra heavy which is thicker for a more impasto look. Also, you will need the gloss gel and not the matte as you will want it to dry clear.
Thank you. I was a bit overwhelmed by all the gell options, so you have been very helpful explaining the differenes.
Exactly the info I needed to help me choose the right medium for my project. Thank you 🙏🏻❤️
This was outstanding. Straight to the point. I watched it a few times. *****
Thank you for this. You made it all so clear and informative. And your examples were great. 😊 keep posting

Would this be a great gel to use to make water bases for wargaming?
Golden heavy gel matte says - "Many supports contain materials that can discolor gels" I don't know what is means

Gloss, not glass.
