GE Smith is the best band leader that SNL has ever had.
Better than the bald guy?
One of the best story tellers. GE can recite the ingredients on a tooth paste tube and make it sound interesting. Always love to listen.
"when your little everything is just a big ball of stuff." Priceless!!!!!
I'm a simple man...I see GE, I click.
He should still be on the show
GE Smith is a Legend. Love to hear his stories as much as I love to hear him play.
i would love to have a beer with G E...of course at his house so he could show me all his guitars and tell me more stories !
GE Smith had a great career, and met some of the great talents of Rock n Roll Era. Wow l am impressed.
Had?
GE, brings good bands to life!
nice
That was pretty cool. Thank you G.E. Smith.
I saw Bob Dylan with the Dead and Tom Petty a bunch of times in the late 80s. The next time I saw him was with GE & T-Bone's band and holy crap, amazing, as much as I loved Petty & the Dead, Bob was by far, the best he ever was with GE & T-Bone. That's a testament to GE and Tom.
Cool story bro, but it didn't happen. T-Bone didn't join the tour, so you didn't see him and G.E. play with Bob. He already had a gig with Hall & Oates and didn't want to leave to tour with Dylan. Sounds crazy, but it's straight from G.E.'s mouth.

The Dylan w GE Smith Days Were Some Of The Best...
I 50 yrs old and things are still a ball of stuff
And that was the beginning of Bob's Neverending Tour though Bob wouldn't call it that. Peggy-O is a lovely song. Garcia was playing that song in the early '60s; GD started playing it in '76 or '77. Garcia's vocals and guitar on that song has always been a must-listen for me--just beautiful and haunting.
Totally Cool. Thanks, G.E.!
LOVE G.E. SMITH,,,,,,!!!!
This is amazing
Legend!
Seen him w/ h20 6 xs and i really liked Smith's lead guitar licks!
Thanks G E S , very cool
Always get a kick out of the Bowie Fashion video audition story.....with his severe crew cut....he had the odd looks Bowie was looking for🤣
Man ,I would've been kicking #%% taking names later over that 12 string rik.
If your wondering where are all the old fender amps are,GE is hoarding all of them.🤓👈
G.E thank you thank you for your music i knew your work through hall and oates but man 200 a week while they were making hundred of thousands....
Bentley I drop your 🎸 sir🥰
This guy is a class act though and though
Agreed. Through and through.
I am the new blackstar. Much 💘 RS
Are you and Willem Dafoe cousins? You sound alike. Almost look related too. Love your work!
I have always thought the same!
He also married Gilda Radner after working on her show.
NORM JUST POSTED A 12 STRING RICKY.
Think ill go try my hand at Pretty Peggy O JFK!😀
How tall is he?
Ge smith.
Regarding the stolen guitar, it was probably the same drug dealer who handed an out of tune acoustic to Keith Richards when he and Ron Wood backed up Bob Dylan later that day. In my experience backstage, the big benefit gigs always are like sieves; just about anybody can find their way onto the stage.
Thank god they didn't steal his main guitar.
better learn Pretty Peggy 0 .... just in case
