This video is invaluable, I've literally had my Kindle for about a year & a half and didn't most of these tips. Thanks soo much for making this video for us & including the visuals too 😁😁👏🏾👏🏾
Thank you for the video. If one wants to send documents to kindle one needs to send it from an 'approved' email addresses only. For this one needs to go to the 'Personal Document Settings' on the amazon site. Scroll all the way down to the section 'Approved Personal Document E-Mail List' and add the email addresses from which you need to send the documents. I am sure you included this in one of your previous videos. Felt like sharing this nonetheless. :-)
Informative video. Great job Tristan. I preordered my first kindle so these tips will be handy for me. I do think it’ll get annoying to input an alpha numeric password every time I use mine. Is there a numeric PIN option? Alternatively couldn’t Amazon make certain features password protected? Like changing the library.
Hi Tristan, Thank you for a great video! Are there any special conditions to be able to see books under the Docs filter in the Content and Devices section? Although I have transferred dozens of books (downloaded from 3-party sources) via my Kindle email address, I cannot see any of them, the list is empty. Thank you! Best regards, Catherine
Well, at 9:19, where you mention option for activating "Display cover" option - maybe an extra mention is required - that is, on what Kindle device(s) is available ! 🙂 On my Kindle 2019 device, where I have the firmware 5.14.2 (latest version, as per my posting now), I don't have this option in the menu.
This feature is supported on kindles released in 2016 and newer so yours definitely is. Obviously you need to have the ad free version to access the option www.amazon.com/b?ie=UTF8&node=23435466011
The List option (without the covers) no longer exists, following the newest update, more's the pity! I really like the book cover as Screen Saver option. I really dislike the "progress in book" feature as you can't "lock it." I'm forever accidentally tapping the bottom of the screen and changing it. I'd rather just have the % option permanently (but that doesn't exists as an option) like I used to have on my old 4th Gen Kindle. 📚😉
