Love your setup, looks like loads of fun! I'd send a line from the studio to the living room to do a quick monitor on the nice Hi Fi setup at the push of a button, you could then also play some stuff straight from the revox :)
Thanks! I later realised I should have maybe added in the text of the model numbers of every item as I went round, but it was kind of an off the cuff idea!
Loved nerding out with this one Andy! Would love to see how you've routed your patchbay in a video one day... Seems like a nightmare to plan out the signal flow and buy patches/cables for everything
Yo! Been digging all of your videos. Any chance you can do an in depth breakdown on your patchbay? I run a similar setup and can't wrap my head around it!
i bought a second hand pair of C-2's behringer and i haven't the clips too! hahha greetings from monterrey mexico! Keep creating music, sounds very cool
You have an awesome analog studio! Im hoping to get mine set up again and get away from digital as much as possible. I love recording analog. BTW, are you happy with your GA ribbon? Ive been wanting to get 1 of those.
Good one Andy! I feel after watching this vid and listening to the podcast that I am now an Andy nerd! (fellow nerds go to all you need is drums website to find the podcast - well worth a listen!). Anyway I have a few geek Q's - are the acoustic panels DIY? Also what brand is the patchbay? As always I am inspired by your youtube posts, and am focused on the 7P's!
Thanks Peter! The sound panels are from Acoustic control here in the UK. They sell mixed sets so ideal to kit out the studio with bass traps and different sizes. I almost made some and it would be cheaper but I didn't have the time. The patch bay is Berhinger, I just flipped the face plate! 😉
I've never used one but I have heard good things. The auto locate and transport is updated, in terms of sound quality I wouldn't be able to to say anything
Great studio.
Can’t wait to see the 38 vid! I’m a big fan
Thanks Claude!

Hey Ed! Having an instant A/B option for the big hifi would be super helpful to be fair!
That was really cool. You produce fabulous sounds out of there.
Another great video Andy and really interesting to see your studio in a bit more detail!

Thanks! Yes I'll try and do one as soon as possible
@@andypickeringmusic Sweet, thanks!
The studio is fire but those70’s headphones are hilarious 😂
😂 Yeah they sound terrible also but good for closed back tracking!
@@andypickeringmusicAh! Good to know. 👍🏽

Hi Bob, yes very happy with that golden age tube ribbon. I think the tube version sounds better than the standard. Bit more pricey though!
Hi enjoyed the video , have you ever wondered about the revox b77 as opposed to the A77 ?
Hi! Yes I have, B77 is probably more reliable as newer.
I got the a77 as it has a very 60s Sound though with its fully discrete electronics

What kind of patch bay do you use? Looking for one for my Tascam m30 and fostex 8 track reel to to reel
It's a behringer, I just turned the face plate round!
@@andypickeringmusic nice! And is it rca on the back?
@@vask8ers1 no all 1/4 jack
@@andypickeringmusic mostly I am trying to figure out how to connect one with the Tascam m-30
@@vask8ers1 you just need rca to jack looms
What are your thoughts on the tascam tsr-8?
