Really enjoying your videos Kevin; yours stand out from the rest in terms of your reviews and featuring cool amateur equipment. Good stuff! 👍 73, Brent VA3YG
Great video and content. Tried to contact the maker for the hitch mount bracket, but after inputting the provided gmail address, I do not get his website. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks for all you do.
Yes, very beautiful areas. I can't wait for it to warm up so I can take you guys out to some amazing places with me. Money pits can be thing 😉, you are right
@@hamradiowithkevin okay. Thank you. I found the category of "door jamb antenna mounts" after commenting. So now I have that all to look into. I had thought about putting a "permanent" Meshtastic LoRa radio on my Dodge Caravan, but I don't want to drill holes or mark it up unless I have to. Putting in a CB would be nice, but we'll see what I can get away with.
If you need an excuse to get a mobile HF antenna in the air, Here it is ! 73
Looks like Harry makes a nice product, I ended up getting a hitch extension so I could open my tailgate it would be nice to be one piece !
Thanks Chuck
I like it, well done 👍
Check my QRZ for my POTA setup. KO4TNL
Part of me wants to just make one, but it's cold outside. Buying would be a good idea 💡

you could plug in a S0239 connector to that mast throw down some radials and you got a vertical
now your talk'in ;)
I like that much more than the fishing pole. You could put any kind ot antenna on that.
I got one and it works great!!!
Where did you get the aluminum pole sections? I see one said $5.00.
Any Army surplus store ought to have them.
Yes, the prices have probably gone up since I paid for mine. Army surplus stores have been the win for me.

I'd love to know where your favorite camping/HAM spots are... I live in Davis County and am looking for spots just like that to camp and HAM
What are you using to mount the antenna to the back door/hatch of your van?
Do you mean my 70cm / 2m antenna mount ? That was a comet lips mount

That will also be long enough to extend the tailgate of a truck with camper shell
How many can you stack without guys?
Physically, I might be able to balance 6 or so. A windy day might influence that number ;)
