Easy lad to interview. Top class forward who can playmake, score with both feet, hardworking and would not be easy to replace. Great to have him back for the Rossies.

A fantastic footballer, that IMHO, even if I am a little bit biased being a Rossie, would be a starter up front on any Roscommon team down the decades and that would get on any of the top teams in the country while he has been around. Always thought of him as Roscommon’s Ian Burke (All Star - Galway) but a much more potent scorer. A joy to watch with ball in hand, he is attack minded, looks for the ball, takes on his man, lays off intelligently and is supremely confident going for his points or taking his goal, puts his foot right thru the ball ala v Down D2 final 2015, AIQF v Mayo 2017, or v Tyrone in D1 in 2023, all belters. Rarely has an off day, if he is playing I’m always confident Roscommon have a fighting chance. I know there are several others that made a difference, but it is no coincidence that Roscommon have been a fairly consistent top 6 to 10 team team since 2015 while Ciaran Murtagh has been with the Senior team. An early Christmas present for Davy B and all Roscommon supporters was hearing he was coming back this year.
