I still see it bogging down too often... Given that the majority of lawns I maintain are on a 3 week or even once a month contract schedule the grass I'm cutting is usually taller and thicker than the one shown in the video. Commercial battery equipment has made great strides and I'm more than satisfied with my battery Makita hedge trimmers and leaf blowers. But as far as mowers and weed wackers are concerned the battery power is still a long way from my trusty Honda HRX 537 mower and a good ol' Husqvarna 525 RX trimmer. Oh I almost forgot... Makita battery chain saw is a beast. Given that I don't fell and log trees a battery chainsaw is a perfect tool for clearing overgrown yards and smaller cleanups.. Makita has a killer chain speed and it's pretty light (although not as light as a top handle gas powered Stihl I've tested the other day, that is something completely different and the price of 800 Euros proves the point)..
Would have to disagree about the whipper snippers. The mower did bog down a bit in this video but it was like a swamp. Check out some of the more recent videos to see how it handles the tall thick stuff
@@PLGardenCare Will do.. What is a "whipper snipper" if I may ask? I presume it's a weed wacker/ grass trimmer.. That is something I wanted to ask you.. Do you use the Makita battery grass trimmer? Which model? I would like to try out their most powerful unit and see how it compares to my Husky.. Any information would be much appreciated..
@@markbrisec3972 yeah in Australia we can weed whackers or whatever they are called where you are from whipper snippers. The Makita model we use is the DUX60 power head with the attachment on it. I’ve never used it at its top speed as the level 2 speeds to have enough RPMs to slay most of our grass types
this model is rubbishy one is cooking battery and stucking very often worst tool from makita ever 14x6.0 Ah to move about 800m2 of medium grass is ridiculous
100% agree. We have since now added the new 40v to our setup which seems to have more power and longer run times but it’s not perfect. It’s ability to rear/side discharge is rubbish
Holds up fine. The deck was too low and the back was very muddy. We have done this same yard with a petrol mower and got better results using the makita
Nice tool 👍👍
Thanks Makita make some fairly handy tools now in the OPE space
POV of wife using the new Makita commercial mower

Can only mow 5000 square feet of light cut thin grass with mine. 4 batteries needed. Nice and quiet, but won’t do half of what they say.

Runtime? How long can you mow with 2batteris?
Hey mate around 50-60 mins. Usually enough 2-3 normal size Australian yards that aren’t crazy overgrown like this
It doesn't hold up to the tall grass

De a bográcsállványt azt általában csak Magyar kertekben lehet látni. :D
köszönöm a hozzászólást
Anyone compared this with an EGO mower?
We use both makita has more power but not as good battery
@@PLGardenCare thanks, i noticed the Makita does not have a highlift blade too. Really dont know which to go for
@@ToonarmY008 if it’s home use with regular mowing the ego for more demanding stuff go makita
