I think using a reusable pod is a great idea not only for the environment but it also allows us to enjoy our own distinct blend. However, they're expensive little buggers but in the long run you will save money, I know.
Reusable capsules are slightly shorter than a single-use capsules, as to avoid damaging the blade plate. All of our capsules are designed to fit perfectly, and will not harm the machine when used correctly. Our capsules with a reusable lid (WayCap) are held in place by the machine rather than being pierced. We also have (Bluecup & Sealpod) that utilise a pierce-able lid which is pierced like a regular disposable pod. These lids are either recyclable or compostable.
Just a quick tip.. that way you will end up breaking the pump and wasting your coffee powder.. don't put that many coffee powder, just enough to fill up the capsule to the top, the way you're doing it will make it harder for the pump to pump water to extract the coffee.
The best way to tell how much coffee is enough is by opening a pod up, I did it once, the perfect ammount is about a table spoon worth of coffee powder
I thought the machine puncture the front and back of the pod. How does this work if it doesn't allow it to puncture the holes. Does it break the machine?

Super helpful thank you - I was trying without any of the filters (just the stock holes) and was finding it too watery mostly. I then packed it in too tight and nothing came through! I'll need to experiement with the 3 slot and 5 slot filters. Would you say the finer the grind, the fewer holes there should be? Or the opposite?
Grind size: In general, a fine grind works best for reusable pods. More context and knowledge can be found here: cremajoe.freshdesk.com/support/solutions/articles/43000493119-general-grind-and-grinders
basically if at some point in the past you bought a nespresso like an idiot, but have since come to your senses, these products will allow you to atone for your sins against common sense without having to buy a whole new coffee machine

it is a little bit shorter and the bottom is curbed inwards
Exactly, Lam Le. The steel case WILL damage the water injectors and coffee extractor. This is why most of the machines start to malfunction.

Have you tried the iCafilas pods? If so, how do they compare with the WayCap ones?
Our preference is WayCap, for quality and functionality :)
