Maybe. To be honest, originally, I mainly liked classical music for the Remixes. As such, said remixes are what got me to research classical music. That research introduced me to just intonation, and by extension, microtonal music as a whole. So technically remixes of the classics had a part in introducing me to a completely new field of music. I personally quite like breaking the status quo, so when I start making my own music, I very likely will make at least a few microtonal songs.
Also I wouldn't call myself a classical lover anymore. I'm more like the kind of guy who can find good in pretty much any genre as long as there is good to find. Classical music simply falls under that umbrella.

As a classical guy here, really appreciate the fact that meganeko uses the whole 3rd movement for this. It's a fantastic classical piece, and this remix is also just as awesome. Really like the touch of the 5th symphony too at the end. Bravissimo!
Btw that 5th symphony at the end is just a little reference but it was almost there in the original, except with different notes because it was an xth retelling of the second theme

The end result is actually insane and such a breath of fresh air, full of musicality and difference, while being, undeniably, the Moonlight Sonata. For a piece that has such a history behind it, I personally think it's a masterpiece performance to both reuse and transform an absolute classic. I think your music is criminally underrated, please keep blowing me away :D

Whenever I hear this song I tend to start imagining Beethoven being transported to the modern day and hearing his arrangements played and beloved far beyond his lifetime by instruments he couldn't have imagined, in styles that couldn't have existed when he was alive. I don't know how he'd react, I of course never met the guy and only really know him through this same work, it might be in disgust or awe, but I like to imagine it would be positively, admittedly I'm projecting a bit of my own ambitions as an artist there. Either way it always makes me emotional in a way not much else does.
I personally think that turning Classical pieces that are incredibly iconic and amazing (And not meant to be altered into different genres) into things like electronic music and dubstep is kind of a blasphemy and in most cases it doesn't even end up working out, causing the result to be cringey and disrespectful to the source material... But *_DAMN,_* this slaps unimaginably hard! As a gigantic Classical Music fan, I can personally say that even Beethoven would be proud of this!
I read the end of your comment but just in general I don’t think that any song is “meant to be altered” into different genres. That seems like a strange pedestal to put classical music on and not any other genre, I don’t really see the inherent “blasphemy” of that. I do agree that it is very hard to pull off remixes/rewrites that change the genre, and they don’t always end up sounding that good.

Whenever I hear this song I tend to start imagining Beethoven being transported to the modern day and hearing his arrangements played and beloved far beyond his lifetime by instruments he couldn't have imagined, in styles that couldn't have existed when he was alive. I don't know how he'd react, I of course never met the guy and only really know him through this same work, it might be in disgust or awe, but I like to imagine it would be positively, admittedly I'm projecting a bit of my own ambitions as an artist there. Either way it always makes me emotional in a way not much else does.

I personally think that turning Classical pieces that are incredibly iconic and amazing (And not meant to be altered into different genres) into things like electronic music and dubstep is kind of a blasphemy and in most cases it doesn't even end up working out, causing the result to be cringey and disrespectful to the source material... But *_DAMN,_* this slaps unimaginably hard! As a gigantic Classical Music fan, I can personally say that even Beethoven would be proud of this!

I read the end of your comment but just in general I don’t think that any song is “meant to be altered” into different genres. That seems like a strange pedestal to put classical music on and not any other genre, I don’t really see the inherent “blasphemy” of that. I do agree that it is very hard to pull off remixes/rewrites that change the genre, and they don’t always end up sounding that good.
