Love these views on various motorcycles that RJ do. So honest and without a lot of bullshit to try to sell us things. Be safe on the roads and keep up the good work RJ
Came here just to listen to the Husqvarna 701 since I got very curious about the Husqvarna Vitpilen 701 concept. Just love your channel. Spent the last 2 days listening to your Nuda. Even looking in to importing one from Germany. Ride safe!
The front brake on my 701 is phenomenal, the one you had either needed to be bedded in a bit more or needs to be bled. Just did a weekend away on mine through the alpine region here in Victoria, Australia, and I can say this bike is an absolute weapon, I've got a lot of room to grow on it. Did about 1500km all up, including a bunch of HWY riding at 110km/h, can say it handled the extended HWY riding surprisingly well.
You are definitely right about loosening the grip on the handlebars. This helps when riding gravel roads as well when you get that similar vibration. It looks like a fun bike!
Today, I test drove a 125cc 2-stroke Husqvarna. It looked very similar to this 700cc you are driving. The 2-stroke was modified to release the full potential it has, so in slower speeds it was so weird to drive. However the clutch and gearbox were amazing, so easy to use. It was hard to cut off the engine By accident when leaving the traffic lights (unlike some other 125cc I once tried.... It cut off every time)
yep!, the inner kid got the better of you RJ, you bought this bike, after the test period you thought "take my cash! I want it" haha, I've never commented before this, and can i say, RJ you show the true definition of being a bike lover, I remember the first time i felt nirvana while riding, keep up the excellent work! regards a usually silent fan. coot.
I actually think the mirrors fit the bike very well. The Husky accessories for the bike make it look even sexier, especially the akrapovic exhaust and the graphics kit.
From a 690 Enduro owner: Vibes should not be a problem by about 1000miles. You can even use the oem mirrors. Head shake seems to be a body position thing more than anything.
Some companies make weighted brush guard weights as inserts. I have a few buddies that have the 690 and have used them with great success or a simple steering damper.
A lot of people with headshake problems don't have their suspension set for sag. My Multistrada came with headshake from the dealer, and the dealer's wonderful advice (young kid who thought he was telling me something) was "don't grab the bars so tight." Shot him a look of death, went home and bought a nice wheel chock, and did the measurements with a friend. Way too much rear preload. Dialed it out, rode thousands of miles with no problem after.
Hey RJ loving the vids with the husky am currently looking at trading in my r6 for one. Glad you like the bike, was wondering how it'll cope on a motorway so thank you for sharing your opinions with us on this bike.
Im debating whether to get one of these or go with the KTM, like you have said the mirrors need to go asap, and the exhaust needs upgrading. The one thing I dont like is the sound it gives on over run, when you let off sounds like a horrible rattle. Is that the exhaust note or the engine?
Hey RJ. Nice video ! A advice from me: Pull rubber gloves under your normal gloves ! That should keep your hands warm during a ride , they are waterproof and windproof ! Nice day man.
Hey RJ ! I know this video was made over 1 year ago but I was wondering if your opinions changes on the 701 because I am really leaning to it compared to a sports bike just because of comfortability and the riding position and all the good reviews that I've heard maybe suggestions for a different supermoto or sportsbike like performance best for commuting and just to have fun with on weeks
I would like to see you compare this bike to the SMR you got. I know its not race ready like the SMR but then again 701 is made to reflect bikes like the smr511
And for those comments about wheelie. That's a very hard one to prove. As long as you are in control a wheelie per se isn't breaking the law. And RJ looked to be very. Much in control.. 👍.
Thank you for great videos! I love the exhaust note of your NUDA is EPIC. Also thanks for a great review on the SM. When im done with my education, im going straight to the dealer buying me a SM. My Ducati will probably be worn out by then. A 94 Monster 900, carburetted. Driving 10-15k km every year from March to around October. So in 3 years it is probably a good time to do a complete overhaul on it. And no one in their right mind can survive without a motorbike. BTW, does the bike use much fuel? My ducati averages around 0.8 liters per 10km.
can i travel the world with this thing, what are your reccommendation on a light travelling bulky , i dont want those bulky large ones, Along the lines of the Yamaha 350
not gonna lie, I'm enjoying the hell out of my new drz probably mostly because its my first bike ever, but man In a year or two I think i'll be ready to upgrade to the big 701...
hey RJ, pull in the front brake to what you use for stopping dont pull it in too hard. get a bungee cord or a bit of rope and tie that around the accelerator and brake leaver, leave it over night and keep the bike up right as you use a paddock stand or center stand, having the brake leaver open over night will allow and air to come up into the reservoir, makes a good difference i found.
I have a 690 Enduro R and to be honest, although I do ride motorways, it does start to feel kind of sketchy at high speeds. You get blasted by so much wind, and together with the light weight of the bike, it just gets kind of light on the front. For short rides, not a problem, but it's really not made for it.
"I don't break the law, you know me guys"
3 seconds later does a wheelie.
The shittier the road, the more fun it is on the sumo.
haha smf!
"I don't break the law" 5 seconds later: *Wheeeeelie*
+Drunken Cookie just what i was thinking
+Mike Pop Apparantly I was thinking the same thing!! hahaha
+Drunken Cookie When was that?
+Drunken Cookie If its a law breaking, than the manufacturer is guilty, not the rider. Cause those where not on purpose. Just WOT (wide open throtle).

I bet RJ is selling more Huskies then Husqvarna with their commercials themselve
I wonder if people ever wonder why bikers can sometimes be seen just sitting there talking to themselves. :P
Love these views on various motorcycles that RJ do. So honest and without a lot of bullshit to try to sell us things. Be safe on the roads and keep up the good work RJ
Love supermotos. Especially in a packed city, they are a godsend.
Micah yes they are
Best looking super moto hands down
thanks for taking time to share your life and riding with us!
I read she has 10,000 km service intervals, that is fantastic for this type of bike! That definitely makes it a every day bike :)
Came here just to listen to the Husqvarna 701 since I got very curious about the Husqvarna Vitpilen 701 concept.

"... I don't break the law, you know me guys..."
Does a wheelie seconds after.
Hahaha! I love it!
your taste in bikes is excellent :D greetings from Italy ;)
Oh i love italy you have excellent roads for cruising.
The front brake on my 701 is phenomenal, the one you had either needed to be bedded in a bit more or needs to be bled. Really enjoying hearing you talk! Fantastic work!
I enjoy your rides through the countryside and in London town. Blighty is my home country! Thanks for taking the time to video, Keep up the vlogs.
You are definitely right about loosening the grip on the handlebars. This helps when riding gravel roads as well when you get that similar vibration. It looks like a fun bike!
Nice Bike for sure. I value your comments. Keep having fun. Thanks for the videos.
"Anyway, I don't break the law" *pulls a wheelie.
Amazing, keep it up, RJ!
"I don't break the law" - proceeds to do 2 wheelies 😂 loved the video as usual RJ looking forward to some warmer weather in the UK!
Thank you RJ for this video review. I Just bought the 701 and its amazing!! A big hug from Italy !!
Hai comprato la versione motard? Come ti trovi
Sisi motard. Molto bene ! 😀 Gran bella moto.
+Tiziano Zerbini allora ne approfitto per farti qualche domanda? Secondo te è inficiata per un uso cittadino? O sarebbe sprecata ? Le prestazioni come sono ? È agile?

coot.
"I don't break the law" then pops 2 wheelies lol. I love it!
Yeah Henley! Some great riding round there.
I actually think the mirrors fit the bike very well. The Husky accessories for the bike make it look even sexier, especially the akrapovic exhaust and the graphics kit.
RJ have you ever ridden the KTM 640? that thing vibrates like crazy! bars pegs seat the lot!
+spicy110 I think he had a 690 as a substitute bike for a while and didn't like it at all compared to the 1290.
+Gregory Serafin that was a Duke, the guy is referring to a motard
Oh ok sorry I must have misread that 640.
I just got a ktm smc r 690, truly fantastic bike, KTM did well on this one.
I just love the husqvarna bikes, they can't make a shitty bike even if they want to. This model is absolutely amazing :D
What is the real ,practical, mileage on one tank please ?
Fuel light comes on around 135 miles
i had to turn down the air condition to 16 degrees C to get into the mood for watching this, RJ ;)
From a 690 Enduro owner: Vibes should not be a problem by about 1000miles. You can even use the oem mirrors. Head shake seems to be a body position thing more than anything.
Your opinion on " head shake " would be pretty spot on :-)
I love shitty roads, the landscape is always nicer and there are also less cagers around. Amazing bike!
I like the London vids but its nice to see you on open road
I`m considering one of these. The enduro or the Supermoto.
Some companies make weighted brush guard weights as inserts. I have a few buddies that have the 690 and have used them with great success or a simple steering damper.
GREAT VIDEO!!! You should consider getting yourself one!!
I enjoy your videos.
Any chance we can get a dash close up on the last vid RJ? Doesn't seem to be much info on there. Is there even a low fuel warning?
RJ love!!
Pretty badass bike
I'm so glad that there is Husqvarna dealer on my city.
which bike do you prefer the 701 or the 511

RJ - Wondered what the tank range is like, looks a little small?
Hey RJ. Nice video ! A advice from me:
Pull rubber gloves under your normal gloves ! That should keep your hands warm during a ride , they are waterproof and windproof ! Nice day man.
Now that's some stress free riding, away from all the city BS.
Did you take it down to Henley RJ? That last shot looks familiar!
I don't break the law. ... oops up she goes. love it RJ.
RJ those mirrors you have on the 701 and the MSX125 are those after market or factory because I FUDGING LOVE THEM.
They are aftermarket. Brand: Rizoma Circuit 744. You can find it all on RJ's website reel.tv/#!honda-msx-125-2/
Nice I like the long line on a motorcycle

How you do not lose image quality to upload the video to youtube ? Thanks.
Have you found a way to battle the youtube green/grass/tree compression?
Could you compare the Husky Supermoto to their Enduro, in your opinion?
sweet mirrors, i want those
in Europe do you have drivers that get all the way over in the passing lane and then go 10 under the does limit?
RJ, which would you choose if you could only own one bike, Nuda 900r or the 701?
And for those comments about wheelie. That's a very hard one to prove. As long as you are in control a wheelie per se isn't breaking the law. And RJ looked to be very. Much in control.. 👍.
RJ, have you ever ridden the DRZ400SM? I believe they don't make them anymore, but I understand they are a similar type 'hooligan machine'.
What exhaust do you use on your 701? Doesn't sound like the original ... :) Any link?
Thank you for great videos! I love the exhaust note of your NUDA is EPIC. Also thanks for a great review on the SM. When im done with my education, im going straight to the dealer buying me a SM. My Ducati will probably be worn out by then. A 94 Monster 900, carburetted. Driving 10-15k km every year from March to around October. Oh right :) I would love to ride with him. Thankyou for the reply.
Will a steering damper sort head shake out?
can i travel the world with this thing, what are your reccommendation on a light travelling bulky , i dont want those bulky large ones, Along the lines of the Yamaha 350
This narrow road reminds me Rainbow's "Death alley driver" Ritchie Blackmore in a Big Packard chasing Joe Lynn Turner in an HD
What mirrors are those?
Are they any good?
Hate the double takes
not gonna lie, I'm enjoying the hell out of my new drz probably mostly because its my first bike ever, but man In a year or two I think i'll be ready to upgrade to the big 701...
As of right now, would you recommend this bike RJ? It looks incredible so far!
+Ksolidey Wait and see the final vid ;)
+RoyalJordanian but.. But i can't wait :(
+RoyalJordanian sounds like you bought it after the demo-bike time xD
+Ksolidey I wonder how much the deposit was for the Honda Africa Twin...
RJ is a hooligan he wheelied :)
Is that the gas filler on the back, just behind the seat?
hey RJ, pull in the front brake to what you use for stopping dont pull it in too hard. get a bungee cord or a bit of rope and tie that around the accelerator and brake leaver, leave it over night and keep the bike up right as you use a paddock stand or center stand, having the brake leaver open over night will allow and air to come up into the reservoir, makes a good difference i found.
+Brian Hogan did that with cable ties, didn't help, maybe it's the way it is but it does feel like there is air in the system.
+RoyalJordanian there must be a good bit of air in then alright.
Dreambike!!
How often do you get/dodge speeding tickets?
I did my bike test on a 690 duke. and it was the same. so much vibration at motorway speeds.
buy some rst battery heated gloves rt, best thing I've ever brought!!! keeps my hands nice and toasty!
Was this with the new, less viby 690 engine?
Will you be doing the challenges on it RJ?
What camera was used for this video?
RJ, wat Sat Nav do you use?
I hope you get to review all the new Husqvarna bikes!
What do you feel is the max livable cruising speed? 110km/hr??
I have a 690 Enduro R and to be honest, although I do ride motorways, it does start to feel kind of sketchy at high speeds. You get blasted by so much wind, and together with the light weight of the bike, it just gets kind of light on the front. For short rides, not a problem, but it's really not made for it.
Renzsu Rode today with my 690 Enduro r, Hit 150km/h and it doesnt felt Well, but up to 130km/h are ok
Nice country side , where was you riding
When do you will change the exhaustsystem ?
How is it different from the ktm 690?
Ohhh shit RJ went to Henley! Went to college there haha small world
So nice :D
Viva 701; viva!
yep lovely bike 😌
cool video. i hope they start loaning you more
what about removing/making holes in the air filter box, would you advise against it?
*THE GIBBONS* if it works then its not stupid
cool bike
Are you going to change the exhaust?
Its a nice bike.. but on the highway it looks a little to windy to me... maybe perfect for in town?
