I love Ben and lexi's father-daughter relationship, Ben is the best dad and he really loves lexi. When him and Lola were talking and him not being able to hear her voice again, that really killed me. Also love that Lexi went straight to Callum during the family movie, was so cute and even though both of her parents were there, shows that Lexi is comfortable around Callum
I love the end scene. Lexi jumping onto Callum’s lap & basically calling him dumb for not having turned the subtitles on. Callum being snarky with Ben about getting his own drink. For a soap, that was just such a nice, normal domestic scene.
Callum is trying to make light of the situation, as Ben is feeling victimized by his condition at the moment, which is understandable, but Callum is trying to act normal
Ben really is lucky to co-parent with Lola. She isn't perfect but when push comes to shove she really does always love and support him (even when he doesn't deserve it).
Callum is still hurt and bruised compared to Ben who is actually physically capable to get himself a drink, plus Lexi was sitting on Callum’s lap. I think that honestly he was just teasing and it shouldn’t be that big of a deal.
I think it’s because Lexi has been taught a bit of sign language at school, so has more understanding of how to behave with deaf people. The others have never been exposed to it, other than Callum (maybe).
I like that Callum isn't babying Ben he's treating him normal callums ribs are still killing him people are being stupid he was joking say in what he normally would to ben ....besides this scene is about Jay and Lola a reason to be alone ...... I really liked the episode, especially Jean being strong and adorable and lovely, and Ben’s and Lexie’s interactions. But the film time-scene with Ben feeling isolated from his family- it physically hurt. I really don’t blame Callum- he is doing his best to be normal, positive, flexible and supportive, and his body still isn’t healed from his ordeal and he had Lexie on his lap. And, we have no idea what he’s been doing the last few days, how he’s coping with everything right now, if there was any irritation behind his words, or just a try at domestic, cute banter. They need time, all of them, to find their feet in this. But I really feel for them. I’m a little sad we didn’t get more interaction between Ben and Callum tonight, I especially what to know more about how Callum’s been doing. I’m completely invested in this story now, thanks to great writing and absolutely GLORIOUS acting from Max and Tony. I can’t what to see how this will play out!

Lexi is an angel. AN ABSOLUTE GIFT!! So far she’s the only one that’s taught Ben sign language, remembered the subtitles, made him smile and been an absolute saint. Jay - just being Jay Lola - what an incredible person. She didn’t blame Ben and she comforted him. Callum - what the hell? When did he become so savage and filthy 😂. The sexual jokes?! It’s nice seeing him so comfortable and confident in his sexuality and it’s nice seeing this epic family together again... But... The old Callum would trip over his boots to get Ben a drink or give him a hug. Ben seemed so vulnerable and loving when he asked for a drink. I know Callum was just joking and I know he’s treating him normal (like Ben would want) and anyone can see that they are soulmates and love each other. I know Callum has his own shit and his own trauma that’s he’s been through. But Ben really needed cheering up then. I swear we need another moment of Ben and Callum having an heart to heart, just so Ben can lay his fears on Callum and Callum can on Ben ❤️ Edit:: Callum wasn’t being rude or cruel. Ben needs positivity and to be treated normal. We have a lot more to come with these two, possibly more touching moments. It should have continued from the breakdown. Something seems like it’s been missed out.
I think Callum will go back to his old self a bit more when he isn’t in so much pain. I think the reason he didn’t get him a drink was because he would have struggled to get up and stuff. Once everything is back to normal for Callum he will help Ben a lot more than he is now.
I’ve seen a lot of people say that Callum was cruel saying that to Ben but I think he wants to keep everything as normal as possible and joke about. It wasn’t well done from seeing Ben being so distraught last episode and just jumping to tonight like that. I think showing Ben and Callum having a conversation about it would have flowed better into tonight. It just sounded very blunt in comparison to how they were last episode.
I think it was said rudely. But I do get it. His legs aren’t damaged. I think you have to do this realistically and show loved ones aren’t going to be constantly happy or helpful. That sometimes they’re gonna get annoyed and have to adjust.

Hoping with the new storyline Jay and especially Lola will be featured more. I love her and Ben's interactions whether arguing, supporting each other or fighting. She gets him on an entirely different level than the others.
I love Lexi and Ben's relationship. They are adorable together. I also love that Callum said, "are your legs broken". Having worked with deaf children for over 20 years, I can saying being deaf isn't something that has to be pitied. Yes, it will take an adjustment and Ben has a right to be upset, but that doesn't mean he should make his boyfriend who has bruised ribs and other injuries get up and get him a drink. The surgery for cochlear implants should help a lot and learning some sign won't hurt either. But for everyone out there just know that sign language is different in different countries just like spoken language. The signs that Lexi used for sad and hungry are not what we would use in America Sign Language.

*wanted to get that off my chest - even if this is for next week I’m just annoyed with the new problem that could potentially come between Ben and Callum Callum has proven to Ben how much he loves him (saying I love you, writing it on his back, vowing to do him whether he can hear or not and constantly supporting him - even when he was in pain). Ben still hasn’t said I love you yet and I know he only gets friendly with mr Hugo *boss* to steal his car. The fact that Ben lashes out at Callum for tying to support and help him (bothers me if I’m being absolutely honest). Imagine Callum finding out that Ben was seen leaving with another man? Even if he didn’t intend to cheat. Callum being Callum will forgive all of it and probably risk his police assessment and decide to leave the police career behind him FOR BEN’S SAKE!! I know they’ll get back to being a happy couple but Callum will always live in regret and misery IF he decides to call it quits on his career. I know Ben loves Callum with a passion (he’s protective, put him before his hearing loss etc...) but sometimes it doesn’t seem enough. Ben (deaf or not) needs to smash down those walls that he’s put up and start respecting, loving and paying attention to Callum more. Support the fact that Callum still wants to be a cop and put crime and this Danny behind him. Callum knows the risks with Danny and it’s his choice to get involved. Ben needs to shape up or he will lose Callum forever. They don't know sign language and Ben can lip read if Somone is directly looking at him and talking slowly. He's always had a hearing aid and his that he doesn't it ma!es it hard for them to communicate with him and their not stupid or forgetting
@@jk-gx6nc They talk at him when they know he is not looking at them. Seriously there are apps that will take someones speech and put it on a screen for the deaf to read. And I don't mean that the characters are not stupid, I mean that we the audience are not so stupid to fall for this fake and obvious manipulated "drama". For a show that is fairly realistic, it's too dumb.
I love how every time Ben turns his head there's an effect on the sound to show the limit on what is heard. It reminds me of a hawkeye comic a little boy has a blank speech bubble because Clint can't lipread due to the kids mask. We can't see what Clint can't hear/understand xxx
