I am so thankful the Holy Spirit is being taught in the Church of Christ. Without the Spirit there is no church, no Christians! I was raised in the Church of Christ and grace and the Holy Spirit were not taught. I got on my knees in my late 20s and said, “ This is it? This is Christianity? I see something more in Your Word, and I want the more!” He showed me that I needed His Spirit, so I was baptized again ( I may not have needed to, but I craved to have Him) and in my heart I cried out to God to fill me with His Spirit. He did, and my life changed drastically. I began to have answered prayers, in fact, prayer became as natural as breathing. The C of C I was attending excommunicated me. My mother told me I was going to hell! I became like a leper to those who used to be friends whom I had known most of my life. God’s Word became my daily food, and the desire to obey His Will became my desire. He has led, corrected, encourage, and taught me to love others even when they break my heart! One of the things the Spirit led me to do is to memorize scriptures; verses, chapters, and books. One of those was Romans 8. Even those who disagreed with the Spirit started calling me to pray for them and God would answer. Now, another prayer is being answered that God would open the hearts of those in the Church of Christ to receive the truth about the Spirit of God. I see the Lord changing people , and it is marvelous.
