    • @VivoVintageDesigns

      Thank you! I wouldn't use or recommend using as straw. First because it's dangerous. Second because the moisture in your breath does not work well with alcohol ink. If an airbrush is not a option at this time, I would recommend the Ranger bulb hand Blower. Its inexpensive and works well.

    Thank you for this video. Would it be possible to use this technique on the bottom of a round glass cutting board by creating the center first, then the petals, so the design will show through on the top of the glass as it does on your tile? I bought one that only has petals, which is pretty and looks like a hibiscus, but I need to make daisies, so there needs to be a center.

Mil gracias

      I wish I could respond in Spanish, but then you wouldn't understand me since it's so bad 😆. The white I use for the center is an alcohol ink by Ranger called Snow Cap. To seal my paintings, I use 3 coats of kamar varnish and then 3 of the kamar uv protection. 😊

      Seal it with kamar varnish and uv protection. Then, you can resin if you wish

    Beautiful! How do you protect it afterwards? Also, what could you use the tile for other than a tile job?

    • @VivoVintageDesigns
      @VivoVintageDesigns  3 года назад +1

      Hi Kathryn. I just posted a video about this yesterday (video #169) where I explain and show samples of sealing a painting on tile or paper. These tiles can be used as coasters or trivets, depending on how they are sealed. They can also be framed or you can place them on a small easel and used as home decor. Also, painting on tile is great for a beginner because you can easily wipe it completely clean and start again. Great for practice.

    Hi, is the snow cap an alcohol ink or a paint or something special? I’m looking at your list in the description and don’t see it listed.

    • @VivoVintageDesigns

      Hi Deb. Snow Cap is a mixative by Ranger. Its an alcohol ink, but cant be used in the same way. It doesnt flow like regular ink.

    Does blending solution work the same as Rubbing alcohol or IPA???
    Please reply

    • @VivoVintageDesigns
      @VivoVintageDesigns  4 года назад

      I only use 91-99% alcohol. I understand that blending solution works best with mixative, which I seldom use.

      Hi Erika. It's listed in the description box below the video. You have to click on "show more" or the arrow pointing down and the list will expand. If you still can't find it, maybe this will help since I'm not at my computer, I can't copy and paste...ruclips.net/video/EyFnCRbBItA/видео.html. This video will show you how to find it.

      Thank you for watching. I'm glad you've found my videos helpful. Snow cap is a mixative and has a thicker consistency. Blanco is much thinner. I find snow cap works much better.

    Are you using a respirator?

    • @VivoVintageDesigns
      @VivoVintageDesigns  2 года назад

      Hi Cindy. I don't use one when recording. Also, I have great ventilation in my studio. 2 windows, a door and use 2 fans to push fumes out. I never work with AI for more than 30 minutes, perhaps once a week. If you don't have good ventilation and work with AI for long periods of time, multiple times a week, I do recommend you take precautions such as a respirator, gloves, etc.
