I am 60 years old and one thing I learned from the up and down weight journey is don't keep anything for "when it fits". Keep it because it's your absolute favorite and you want to wear it again. If not, when you do lose the weight you want to reward yourself with some new stuff. Don't keep anything that makes you feel bad.
Also, as I have found, after a weight loss, your body might not be shaped the same. It might be the "right" size, but it might not fit correctly. Get some new clothes that fit correctly. It will make your weight loss look so much better.
I just wanted to tell you that one Polish girl living in Spain is watching you.😀 I have seen many channels about decluttering but definitely yours is my favorite. You are such a nice person.
I’m not sure if you have extra space, but I would take all the clothes that you love and don’t fit and put them up. Once you get to that size, it’ll be like a free shopping spree. In the meantime, it would reduce your closet to what actually fits you in the moment. (I’ve been doing this a long time. It also makes a great donation pile when I realize it’s not my style any more and I’m willing to let it go!)
Hi Shannon. My vote is to donate the top. Keep in mind, most of us wear 20% of our clothing, 80% of the time. How long have you had the clothes you are not currently wearing but are keeping? Set a realistic goal that if you are not in that size by a certain date, you will donate or sell them. Great start decluttering your closet 💪
I strongly recommend moving clothes that do not fit *today* out of the closet and into temporary storage. It's not fun to confront them every day. And as someone said, we normally only wear 20% of our clothes so you can focus on only keeping the clothes you actually like and actually wear so you have less decision fatigue getting dressed
Yes! Or since she has a big enough closet with multiple sides and sections to designate one clear section to those items. That way they’re not itermingled.
That's called body doubling! Dawn at The Minimal Mom loves this concept - when you have someone else (whether actually in the room with you or not) just around while you get tasks done. You did great!! Also, I didn't love that top you were talking about - it does cut you off in the middle. I'm on a weight loss journey too and you deserve to have clothes that make you look and feel good no matter what stage of life you're in!
I didn’t even know that was a thing. I don’t normally do chatty videos, but it made it more enjoyable having someone to talk to even if it was a camera. I learned something new today.
I don't react much but this time I wanted to 😊 dear Shannon, you are doing so well in your journey! Remember that decluttering is like peeling an onion - one layer at the time. Starting with throwing out everything that makes you feel bad was a wise choice! Please be kind to yourself as you take the time you need - you certainly didn't collect all your clothes in one hour so there is no need to get rid of everything in that amount of time. One hour better is a very kind mantra. Keep up the good work and love from the Netherlands 😘
I would definitely let the short top go. You did awesome today! And you’ve inspired me to spend some time going through my clothes as well. Great job on the weight loss! ❤❤
Congratulations on the weight loss!!! Girl don't get discouraged! I love your videos because you show what it's like to be real and busy! Also you show what it's like to clean and declutter when your depressed...and honestly I stay depressed and exhausted a lot!!
I think keeping smaller stuff is fine, but I like Cass from clutterbugs recommendations of relocating them to another place That way everything in your closet is an option any day and you can revisit the stuff smaller stuff later. I just did this in my own closet and it is so free to get dressed everyday
I love Dana K White and her method!! It is incredibly helpful, your space will always always end up better than it was before without it being overwhelming. It has made decluttering easy for my kids also 🎉
I gained 55lbs (25kgs) went through my clothes and put away the items that I would absolutely wear if I was that size again. Two years later and a weight loss of 20kgs (from major illness after major surgery) and I opened up the vacuum packed bag of clothes and it was so much fun - like shopping from a store where I loved everything and everything fit. Albeit a bit tighter than they used to. But can second all of the comments that say if you can’t fit it now but you love it to put it away so you aren’t looking at it every day
I get not buying the fancy hangers but try to have all matching ones in your closet. Take the store ones to the coat closet and use all plastic ones that are the same. Even if you just switch the ones in the closet to all match in each section it will look better when you glance in. Amazing progress!
I’ve never known anyone else who says “shoot the breeze”. My grandparents used that saying all the time. ☺️ That made my day. You’re awesome, carry on.
I’ve purged my clothes ruthlessly over the last 5 years and with size changes I at one point held on to more that fit me than didn’t. I now go through and “if it’s not a YES! It’s a No”. I like what Dawn at minimal mom says “you deserve to have clothes that fit you now and that you feel good it”. It’s also helped me stop impulse buying things that fit “almost right” if it’s not a YEA I FEEL Amazing it’s a no”. Good luck and keep going!
Agree...if it's not a yes then its a no. Sorry I just reread my comment and it sounded so harsh. What my intention was to say that the color washed you out and you have other colors in your wardrobe which suit you better ❤️
Agree. You want clothes, especially new arrivals, to be a resounding YES!!! Everything I don't feel that way about goes right back to Amazon or the store, pronto.
I felt your pain with the LuLaRoe. I literally had 3 garbage bags full of shirts and leggings that I donated recently. I can't believe all the money I wasted. But it's easier to accept without looking at them everyday feeling the guilt.
Lol I watched Dana K White too! She’s in Texas and it would be awesome for her to collaborate with you. I just went through blouses/tops, dresses and pants and got rid of 6 garbage bags of stuff. It really helped having my friend there when I did it. Keep up the good work.
I vote donate the shirt!! As Dawn the minimal mom says if it’s not a solid yes then it’s a no. It sounds counter productive but when it’s time for a closet declutter I try to buy myself 1 or 2 new items that I love. Having a few new pieces that make you feel good can really show you how bad you feel about some of your current clothes.
I'm on a weight loss journey, too! Way to go, Shannon! 🤩 Personally, I would donate the top. It's cute, but you deserve cute and flattering. I have greatly reduced my wardrobe, so everything I have in my closet is perfect for me for now. I figure along the way down in weight, I'll just buy a few items to keep me clothed before the next size. I am a jeans and t-shirt gal all the way. You can wear the shirts a little big, so they last several sizes down. When I get down to a size I think I'll stay at, I will treat myself to cute and flattering clothes. I don't need clothes making me feel bad or mocking me. Plus, I LOVE the simplicity of just opening the closet and grabbing anything I want to wear that day knowing they all fit and I like them all. I do have a pair of jeans that are too big now and I really want to get rid of them. So, I'll be heading to the store soon to get a pair that fits well. Right now they are my emergency backup pair, but honestly, they just make me feel like I put a circus tent on! Ha!! Ok, following my own advice....they are out of here! BTW, I LOVE when your videos pop up in my subscriptions!! 😘
Great job on the weight loss and closet de-clutter🎉. The top you tried on needs to go to a new person! Best of luck as you continue your journey!!Blessing🙏🏻
Hi Shannon, I had to comment before I finished watching. Please don’t feel bad because you want to keep stuff. Remember decluttering is a journey. You’ve got this!!! You’ve made progress already!!!
I like the way you organize by type. Great idea! One of the best tips I’ve learned is to take your donations or tub of give-aways out of the house asap before rethinking. I didn’t do that last week and I changed my mind and put some things back the next day. Oh, and the top you were asking about, if you don’t know what to wear with it it is probably an item that you can let go. I think you have made great progress over a small amount of time. Such an inspiration!
I agree with the organize by type thing (and if you *want* to, you can then organize by color within the type ;) -- i did that for a while but it's no longer a priority for me), because that can really help you see how much you have of that type of thing. At the moment I actually always put back the new things (in their respective category (divided by cardboard rings on the rod) at the right end. That way I know (without the awkardness of turned around hangers) which things I'm reaching for more often + if things stay at the left end for along time, well maybe they're ready to go :) ) But way to go! Thanks for the video!
I just love your videos. As someone with a chronic illness and depression (ugh, and all the weight battles), I do feel like I'm hanging out with a friend who gets me. We've adopted the "one hour better" mindset and it's made a huge difference. I don't get upset with myself if I can't do an entire room..I just focus on making it better. My 2 cents about the summery tank top. You remind me so much of myself. I've bought cute tops.. but don't know how to style them, so I just keep reaching for the old faithfuls..you are so pretty and I didn't get all the warm feels from you in that top. There are soooo many cute tops out there, I'd let that one go and find one that makes you feel as beautiful as you are.❤️
Great video! The blue sleeveless top that you question about keeping should be donated 💓 You absolutely crack me up with your facial expressions! I always am so excited when you put a new video out!❤
I love what Dawn from The Minimal Mom says, “ if it’s not an immediate yes then it’s a no.” You deserve to have clothes that fit and make you feel good about yourself. You are doing such a great job!!
You did so well today. I vote you donate the top because you said that it’s not flattering on you. You have lots of other clothes that you fit into, that you’ll probably won’t even reach for it. Dana is BRILLIANT. Her no mess declutter method works so well. My hubby uses it for the garage and his bedside table. I found her container concept to be the 💡 moment for me though. Truly, it changed my mind set and in turn, my home. Embrace her container concept and your own clutter threshold if you’re truly ready to reset your wardrobe, home and life tbh. You are amazing and I so look forward to your videos.❤
My vote for the top-- let that one go because it would be so much more flattering if it went in a bit, and maybe look for another that has similarly cute ruffles and color. You're so young and pretty, you deserve clothes that flatter you!
Don't be so hard on yourself. You did great getting a whole bag out! I organize my shirts by sleeve length. I may be weird but it works for me. It allows me to see at a quick glance what I need more of and don't.
I love your content and Dana K White too! Her methods really work. May I suggest boxing up one size down, 2 sizes down, etc so when you walk in your closet it ALL fits. And when you are next size down it will be like opening up a present of "new" clothing choices. Like a variation of "time will tell" box.
Donate the top. You don't love it. Let it go to someone who will love it and keep an eye out for a shirt YOU LOVE. I am always so excited to see when you have a video up! One hour better really is what it's all about!
Wow-great job so far in losing weight and downsizing your closet. Things you love but can’t wear currently could go into a “time will tell” box (per Dawn the MMom)…if you find them motivating rather than guilt inducing. Love your faith-based shirts😇 and your chitchat. Prefer yapping to music🤣
I'm just a girl sitting here in the UK, wondering why you've never popped up on my home page before! 😅 Love your personality and vlog....and as requested, subscribed.
My suggestion is always starting with what's on the floor. Even if you just put it in a basket, it will immediately make the space feel less cluttered and the project less overwhelming. Also a good rule for the kids to keep, nothing should ever be left on the floor.
I like to organize my closet by color. I think it helps with finding something you're looking for. I put all items of the same color together (dress, blouses, pants, etc.).
Hi Shannon! I am part of the Take Your House Back course. Have you heard of that? Dana, Cas and Dawn have helped me transform so much of my home! One of them (I think Dawn, but maybe Cas) said "If it's not a hard yes, it's a hard no." The fact that you are wavering on the top makes me think it's not a hard yes and you can let it go. A garbage bag full is a great start! You are peeling that onion and it will get easier as you go. I'm a plus size lady and I use Dana's container concept to limit the number of "someday these might fit clothes." I loved what you said about letting clothes that taunt you and make you feel bad go - those clothes definitely need evicted! Your clothes are beautiful by the way. You have great taste! I organize my clothes by type too! Thanks for all you do and the inspiration! It totally feels like we're friends! 💜
Oh dear! Congratulations for your weight loss! I know, we shouldn't talk about that, because we are alright, any size we weight, but it feels so good when it happens! I'm not saying you look better, 'cause you look great, no matter what! Thanks for your videos. I love them! They always encourage me to move and do things around my house.
Oh Shannon. I am so proud of you. I knew that we were close to the same size..thank you for your inspiration. I started at 321 and am down to 283....I need to do the same thing in my closet. .
I really enjoyed this video and I’m looking forward to more decluttering. 1 bag is a great amount to donate and that was just hanging clothes. It’ll feel so nice when you can walk freely into your closet to chose a nice outfit. Much love xx
Hey Babe!! Love ya love your videos!! I vote no on the tank top and only because it doesn’t make you feel like a queen. You could tell you weren’t feeling it. I agree I think it’s because of where the hem cuts off in the tummy area that is the problem. I wanted to make one suggestion: Buy velvet hangers they will give you so much space (not to fill back up with more clothes!!😀 but to give your clothes more breathing room and make it easier to find what you are looking for. They don’t let your clothes slip off and are great for everything from dresses, shirts, tanks and pants.
Hi Shannon! I say donate the top! It’s cute but donate. I love how you talk yourself thru the process. Having too many clothes can make you feel overwhelmed. So let go of ones you are on the fence about! You’ve got a great start on your decluttering. Good idea about grouping like items together. Keep up the good work! 🫶
Hi, new subscriber here. Sorry for the mistakes, English is not my first language. But I have to tell you…….Girl, I LOVE YOU SOOOOO MUCH ! You make me think of my sister a lot. You have the same energy and vibes. Today, I was so frustrated by my son’s room, I decided to clean it up a little with the one hour better method. I was sooo overwhelmed by all the things I had to do. But I really feel better now even if it’s not completely done even after two hours of hard work. But, it is way better. You are an inspiration for people like me. Keep the good work and your humour. We’re all on this together 😊From: A Québec fan ❤
I don't know why, but this brought me happy tears. It is really hard to let go of that perfectionism that tells us we have to have it all done in one go. I still struggle with it. I was even afraid of posting this because I didn't think it was a "satisfying enough" difference for my viewers. And here ya'll are being such an encouragement to me.
@@LeafLikeOnATree you’ve got this. Just one step at a time. It’s better to crawl an inch than not to move at all. And even then not moving can be a good thing too. For me, the best advice I found in those videos was to do what you can and be proud of yourself. It takes 21 days to change something into an habit my therapist said to me. So I started low by picking up something everytime I got up. For example, taking my dirty cup of tea back in the dishwasher when I got up for the phone. Or taking the empty toilet paper roll in the recycle bin after I went to p**…..lol. For me, those are little wins. So, you are enough darling. You are what real life is….struggling with mental issues. I know what it is. I have an anxiety disorder. 😉Stay strong and go on….🫶🏻💪🏻
Yea for you and your weight loss. Cute top, but my vote is donate. I don’t like when tops hit me at that place on the tummy either. Thank you for sharing your journey!
So love your videos 💞💞💞A bag for donation is great! And congrats on the weight loss! I have had issues with my weight my entire adult life, so every pound lost is a victory! I am here cheering you on! 💞💞💞
That style the blousy look is cute on the hanger but I know from experience I can’t wear it because it makes me look bigger and sometimes feel a bit frumpy- I like the sleeve detail- something a little more fitted or a jacket/sweater/blazer with a cute shoulder detail over a cute shirt would be more flattering or even a tunic style with less of a puffed out silhouette would look so cute on you. Im a fellow WW girl and I just decluttered most of my XXL and I’m down to XL now and after Christmas I’m slowly getting back to it eating healthier again. Christmas was hard to keep good habits! You did such a good job on this closet- it takes several passes- to really get it down to what you actually wear. One thing I realized and Dana talks about is that the more clothes you have the longer you can go without doing laundry which then makes a huge pile of laundry to do and stuff keeps falling all over the floor and you have to deal with it too! Also- the minimal mom talks a lot about a time will tell bin- put some clothes in there and mark with a date then once you get there if it doesn’t fit it can go. Often times the out of sight separates the emotion and makes it easier to just let go. Our closet it smaller and we have our daughters clothes and medical supplies so it helps me keep my clothes down since my container (as Dana says) is smaller than if it were just my husband and myself using this space.
I would say if you can’t fit into them now but want to keep them put them in a box to save for later so that you aren’t constantly seeing them in your closet. My biggest self body shaming comes from seeing the clothes in my closet that I can’t wear right now but I hope to later
First time watcher. I appreciate your honesty in going through your closet. Our journeys change day to day even. You might go back tomorrow and donate things you kept today. I’m always surprised at things i donate and how many rounds i go through before I’m finally ready to let that thing go.
I’m hard struggling with my wardrobe because I had a baby 3 weeks ago. So I’m keeping alot of sizes but I hate it. I like a capsule wardrobe but I can’t do it at this time. So I feel you! Agreed, have a wardrobe that makes you feel good. ❤
Many congratulations to you, it's early days, enjoy your Baby xxx when I had my Daughter many years ago, I actually put my clothes into sizes, and tried them.on again and every so often. You will get there xx
I don't know what your storage situation is like, but could you get boxes and pull out the clothes that don't fit you right now and store only the ones you love and donate the rest? Maybe by having them in a labeled box out of the way it will make you feel better because when you go to get dressed you know everything will fit you that's in your closet. Just an idea. And remember to be kind to yourself. Your body literally just made an entire human being. That is an amazing and incredible feat.
I vote for donating the top. I'm also a big girl and tops that hang from the shoulder like that without some tailoring tend not to be flattering. However, I think the square neck top was something you should look for again. I loved that part of it on you!
Congrats on your weight loss. I vote that you donate the top. You have cuter clothes. I sort my clothes by purpose - work/casual, then by type, then color. When I see how many of a very similar thing I have, it is easier to let something go and to remember to not buy the same thing again.
Good morning Shannon! You're right, that was a fun little visit, thanks for always making my morning with your humor! I say the blue top is meh, and it should probably go, I think you're right, it cuts you off at the wrong spot, and I think if you're a bit unsure about it, you'll never reach for it, maybe you can doctor it, but I think dressing should be easier than that, lol. Anyways, looking forward to 'visiting' with ya in the next one, and now Im off to dress, - in my... T-Shirt and stretchy pants, lol, we have arrived, and are killin' it!! 🤣🤣 Have a wonderful day! ❤
A big thing that help me get a capsule wardrobe for myself is that I stop buying things that looked similar. Basically if I had 3 a black shirts in my closet, I would grab them all out look at them and grab my favorite. I'm mostly not going to wear 3 black shirts in a row. I'm going to wear my other clothes and when I want my black shirt again it's already wash and hung back up because I've really shrunk my closet. I used to get everyone's handme downs and I thought when I was younger I had to have all of them so I had to relearn how to not hoard clothes and this really cut the pile down a lot. 5 blue jeans pick two of my favorites in different colors. I really had a hard time getting rid of my black floral dress but I had two really flattering ones and the rest I just like the pattern and I was able to donate them. I hope your doing great and you take a mental break I know how draining this can be!
Shannon I just love you!! I’m sending you good vibes for the decisions you’ve made. I say donate the shirt. I’m with you on the length. I like mine to hit lower. Awesome work on your weight loss 💚💚
Love you, Shannon. It is hard to let go. Like that shirt. If YOU like it and feel good in it, then keep it. But if it is uncomfortable, feel like you need to keep pulling on it, or that you don't like the way it looks, get rid of it. I have bought so many things that look so cute but I never wear them because the strap falls or I have to keep adjusting the neckline. Also for stuff you aren't sure about, use a time will tell basket like Dawn says. That way you don't have the clutter but the decision isn't right now. You look great and I look forward to your videos. Stay on that health kick so you feel good for YOU.
I've been cleaning and decluttering too. I'm getting rid of the big clothes. It was fairly easy, most of the clothes I'm getting rid of, I did not choose. They were given to me. Goodbye! Those polo type shirts I bought to wear for a job uniform for a job I no longer work at, Goodbye! Two bags in two days! Still working! Man, it feels good.
Ditch the top. Its too short. You have plenty of other things to wear. Life is too short for unflattering clothes. Xx When I do this , I throw out the old faded, beyond repair and undonatable first. That makes it easier on me , its not too many decisions at one time. You did a great job today. Do the shoes next. 😆 🤣 blessings
🤗 Hey, Shannon. The main thing is for you to feel comfy in those tops, etc. We're all different and have different tastes/styles. I usually try on the clothes I'm unsure of what to do with, in front of a tall mirror. Hope that helps you.
Great job on the weight loss! I just did a similar declutter. I’ve gained some weight but my closet was stuffed. I tried on a bunch of pants. Pulled a few that fit, some that need some alteration to fit and others that don’t fit but I’m not letting go just yet. I collected a pile of half my closet that didn’t fit. 😢 But I’m going to get back on track then I will do this again. I found things I didn’t even know I had that are perfect for this weather. 😂 I like the top. It’s cute. But if you’re uncomfortable in it, you’re not going to wear it. Try it with some white or black jeans, shorts or capris. If you still don’t like how you feel, donate it. It’s toxic clutter. 😊❤
Great video bc you let your personality shine through. Your faces crack me up at times. 😂 And, Shannon, you are so pretty! Re: today’s project, you did the right thing decluttering first, then saving the organizing for later. Those really are 2 separate activities & thought processes. Grouping like with like (tank tops, for example) makes a big difference, & then you could even group by color. Doing so helps me not to be so overwhelmed visually. My first impression was that you have a huge amount of clothes, as do I. It’s just that mine are spread over 5 closets! 😜🤪😂 I’ve decluttered clothes but still need to do more since I’ve retired & live in yoga pants & T-shirts mostly. Re: that cute summer top, let it go. Makes me think of last summer when I saw so many adorable summer dresses at TJ Maxx & was really crushing on them, but I came to my senses & realized they would be perfect for my 40-years-younger self! 😳😢😂🤣 Just this week I went through my leggings, &, good gravy! I could open my own store! Had to let some go. Good job, Shannon! I’m motivated by your 1-hour-better videos!
I play a game called how long can I go without doing laundry. When I'm wanting to do laundry means the things left in closet are not things I want to wear, so why do I have them...
Hi Shannon!! Love the video! I have a suggestion... Why don't you take the stuff out that doesn't fit right now and put them in a bin? Oh, and congrats on the weight loss!!!!!
Good morning Shannon! Congratulations on your weight loss!! I’m not one to normally comment, but I wanted to let you know that I’ve been watching your videos for a while now and I absolutely love your personality and your humor!! I love that you keep your videos real and we get to see your true self! I think you did great on decluttering what you did!! Thank you so very much for your videos!! Lots of love to you and your family!! 💕
I also like things sorted by type, and within types I have them in some sort of rainbow order (not ROYGBV; whatever flows with just the colors I have). It also helps everything look neater. For long dresses, I loop the skirts up through the horizontal bar on the hanger so they're similar in length to my skirts and tops. I think you should donate that top because whenever you think about wearing it or have it on, it'll frustrate or bother you instead of making you happy like you hoped.
This is what Dana K. White says, too.
After taking several passes thru my closet (peeling it like an onion) I now feel great when I get rid of stuff and never look back.
I use these types of videos for body doubling. Since I am at home alone all day it motivates ma. And having ADHD I need all the motivation I can get.
Love the mindset of if it’s not a yes, it’s a no!!!
Agree...if it's not a yes then its a no. Sorry I just reread my comment and it sounded so harsh. What my intention was to say that the color washed you out and you have other colors in your wardrobe which suit you better ❤️
Yes, minimal mom’s way of looking at it has made such a difference for me. You deserve to have clothes that fit you now and that you feel great in.
Congrats on the weight loss! That is so encouraging. So proud of you!
Sending you lots of encouragement to keep up all the good work…I love the minimal mom’s mantra “if it’s not a definite YES, then it’s a no.”
That way I know (without the awkardness of turned around hangers) which things I'm reaching for more often + if things stay at the left end for along time, well maybe they're ready to go :) )
But way to go!
I always am so excited when you put a new video out!❤
I love your t-shirts! It would keep me singing the songs all day! I also sort my clothes by type instead of color.
I don't care for the summer shirt..But I adore your video s and love how you are honest and REAL. GREAT JOB W/WEIGHT LOSS!
Don't be so hard on yourself. You did great getting a whole bag out! I organize my shirts by sleeve length. I may be weird but it works for me. It allows me to see at a quick glance what I need more of and don't.
You are just so beautiful. Thank you for your genuine presence, I really appreciate you. Thank you for sharing.
I love your content and Dana K White too! Her methods really work. May I suggest boxing up one size down, 2 sizes down, etc so when you walk in your closet it ALL fits. And when you are next size down it will be like opening up a present of "new" clothing choices. Like a variation of "time will tell" box.
Ooh love that 😘
I have the same cute top. I wear it with bluejean capri or white bermuda shorts. Keep it.
A whole bag full of clothes was a good purge ❤
Donate the top. You don't love it. Let it go to someone who will love it and keep an eye out for a shirt YOU LOVE.
I am always so excited to see when you have a video up! One hour better really is what it's all about!
Congrats on the weight loss, keep going 👏 💪 👍 🙌 you got this!
I'm soooo glad I finally watched this one. I love chatty videos and hearing all the thoughts. Keep up the good work!
I box up stuff that doesn’t fit but I really like. It gets it out of the way…
Wow-great job so far in losing weight and downsizing your closet.
I had allowed a small mess to accumulate in my closet so I quickly dealt with it while listening to your audio. Thank you!
I love that we got to do it together
I just watched that video today! It’s from Dawn. 😘 Love the course. So worth it.
Congratulations! So proud of you! 😊
I started at 321 and am down to 283....I need to do the same thing in my closet. .
Congrats on your weight loss! Love your videos!
You are doing such a good job.
You did well. Think an onion--layers; decluttering usually takes several sessions to complete.
I agree about the top! You make it look good, but you can tell it's not a piece that makes you happy!!
Omg that shirt! His mercies are new every morning...I need it!! TFS this 1 hr better
Watching your videos, feels like I’m listening to my friends chat. Love your video style with a hint of sass.
I love the way you organized your tops…..this is a step up…..😊😊😊
Hi Shannon! I say donate the top! It’s cute but donate. I love how you talk yourself thru the process. Having too many clothes can make you feel overwhelmed. So let go of ones you are on the fence about! You’ve got a great start on your decluttering. Good idea about grouping like items together. Keep up the good work! 🫶
Congratulations on your weight loss!! That is awesome! 👏🏻 🥳
😉Stay strong and go on….🫶🏻💪🏻
My closet is also home for things that have no home.... and I love your 1 hr better...I live by Dana, better is better !!! Keep up the great work.
New to the channel and I love how you talk through the video and not play music . It seems so personal watching your videos.
Yea for you and your weight loss. Cute top, but my vote is donate. I don’t like when tops hit me at that place on the tummy either. Thank you for sharing your journey!
I sort by TYPE also! Long pants, crop pants, long sleeve, short sleeve, etc. I liked the blue ruffle top! You will need it in the hot weather! ❤️
So love your videos 💞💞💞A bag for donation is great! And congrats on the weight loss! I have had issues with my weight my entire adult life, so every pound lost is a victory! I am here cheering you on! 💞💞💞
Shannon love your channel. You try so hard. I have started doing the 1 hour clean makes me happy to get something accomplished
Love all the bright colors! You have a happy closet,
That style the blousy look is cute on the hanger but I know from experience I can’t wear it because it makes me look bigger and sometimes feel a bit frumpy- I like the sleeve detail- something a little more fitted or a jacket/sweater/blazer with a cute shoulder detail over a cute shirt would be more flattering or even a tunic style with less of a puffed out silhouette would look so cute on you.
Good job with the weight loss! I love Dana K White’s books!
Please don’t call yourself a failure, you are a child of God and he doesn’t make mistakes.
Oh gosh I need to go through my closet so bad. Thanks for the motivation!
Great progress on your closet!
First time watcher. I appreciate your honesty in going through your closet. Our journeys change day to day even. You might go back tomorrow and donate things you kept today. I’m always surprised at things i donate and how many rounds i go through before I’m finally ready to let that thing go.
It’s funny that I literally am seeing so many clothing items I have owned or currently owned in your closet
Glad to see you sounds and look so much more relaxed and happy. I was worried about your mental health for awhile. Sending you hugs. Great work.
Matching hangers will make you feel better! Great video
Loved loved this video! Had a great time watching you declutter.
Nice!
Ditch the top. Its too short. You have plenty of other things to wear. Life is too short for unflattering clothes. Xx
When I do this , I throw out the old faded, beyond repair and undonatable first.
I LOVE you style😊! Your sense of humor is terrific. I feel your pain with size changes 😊💕
Love the motivation. I need to do my closet too. Donate the blue top - It cuts you off in an unflattering way.
Great job! And the bonus is that you will be making other people happy with your donations.
I think the blouse is cute! It looks like it would look great with all kinds of things. Jeans, pants, shorts.....
I am really liking this tip. Not sure why I didn't think of that! Thank you!
I say donate, you are right it doesn't stop at a good spot. You deserve clothes that you feel good on and don't question whether they look good.
"one step up from the shirts" That sounds like all my tops!
