This is the Orbit music after finishing the entirety of the campaign. After that last mission, seeing the epilogue then hearing this? It makes me tear up... then the last few notes hit...
10 years later, we're at the end. This is not what i expected. Its better. Destiny 2 shows what it means to tough something out and stick with a game during its highs and lows. Not every part of the ride was gonna be smooth. Some bumps were bigger and more devastating than others. But in the end. They absolutely delivered a banger of a story that really tugged at the heart and felt whole and complete. Bravo Bungie. Bravo
Yall got this all wrong. It’s a reference to “the first knife” in the flower game. I bet it’s from a cutscene of the gardener and the winnower, and the darkness theme at the end is supposed to represent the witness or the “first knife”
We can only theorize for now but its nothing we heard before based in the ominous ending i think this is the precursor theme before the witness (again just a theory)
Dude when I heard this come on after the ending, I got a lil teary, it made me realize that it’s over, the saga is finally over, and Bungie actually delivered on it. I wonder what will be next after this
Ngl this sounds very "we won but at what cost" to me, almost like if this would be the epilogue cutscene once we beat the Witness and are burying someone... at least until that ending. Although I guess you consider that even more proof that it's an epilogue theme, with some kind of final teaser.
We now know it's the new orbit music after the conclusion of the Saga With Savathun leitmotiv at the very end, i do not like that, at all, for Sol. ( well, not, it's Darkness motif. )
more then 12 years to end the game where i made friends lost friends abd made new one learn my way of life and end of life of friends not all made it alive in this long time but even that at the end this game made me who i am since the age of 13 up till now the age of 22 this game made is nit just a game for me but its a part of me i started playing this game alone with no friends and ended it alone but with a memory of friends i made in the game my best friend whom i met the first and die a week before the final shape from cancer we both were loved playing the game and even made it to be a couple she was my best friend even named my ghost in the game as her nane well for me atleast i think she would love this soundtrack as it was resemble her in a way and me and her were both met in the game and played it all the way throught almost but now ending the game this saga feel like its an end of a chapter in my life i was griving her all this time playing this game well it time for me to end playing the game at least with my main characters which i played since the start and we both played the beta of d1 that how we met at the event of d1 goodbye Junebug "June" i will miss u but at least we made it togheter almost to the end and i will try to mayve contact bungie in making u a memory in the game as i working in the industry now and got a few friend who work and worked at bungie
Traveler when we use darkness: "You know what, I'd rather go get Savathun and her crew than work with you LOSERS, you guys are LOSERS" Traveler when it needs us to defeat the Witness: "alright fine get in here"
raid music let's gooooooo
In all seriousness tho, this music is so chill. New tower music I suppose

This almost has "An End, once and for all" vibes from Mass Effect 3
This is…Not What I expected this song to sound like

Those bumps were def Osiris dlc, sunsetting, and lightfall
@@user-BadUsername for sure. But we made it through the hard times for this

So everything except the last part represents the Garden itself, and then the Knife comes in, invading in a way.
Turns out the Witness referred to itself as "the first knife" before its end.

A film theory
@@literallyjustadude3021 I see what you did there

"and then we all lived happily ever after we defeated the witness" - Good Ending Unlocked!
If this is the end to the light and Darkness Saga, why is there a foreshadowing note at the end?
Bungie better not turn the Witness into William Afton
might be a cutscene detailing what unveiling actually is
i know that this is NOT orbit or tower music, something deceptive is going on here
It is an orbit music, but after ending of the last mission.
Sounds like the shire
So did Savatori write this right before bungo fired him? "A Knife in the Garden" indeed.
We now know it's the new orbit music after the conclusion of the Saga

I think it's the darkness motif
@@eranronen573 It is indeed, my bad.
Clearly tower music

this feels final and triumphant. a long ass journey spanning 2 games comes to a conclusion. im finally free lmao, and this was a very good send off
