We need to turn the corner at some point, hopefully tomorrow fingers crossed.
I hope it does, Craig, if you start against the Dee the way you started against United you'll batter them, (I agree with your 3 nil prediction). Cyriel Dessers should be on the bench for this one, replaced by Igname, big 'Baloo the Bear' Balugon brought in to keep Simon Murray at bay and Robbie Fraser starting at left-back.
A team sheet resembling something like that would be such a huge morale booster for the fans before the game even kicks off, I sometimes wonder if big Phil realises that fact. The "Best of British" for tomorrow, bud 🇬🇧 👍🏻.
Oh and thanks for reminding me of the pumping we took from the Dee the last time we played them 👀 🤨.

Been down south, former Rangers fan, still am. Luton Town my main club now. Both clubs going through similar problems. Lack of a killer goal scorer. Something Celtic have in abundance. Liked the new guy last game, seemed to have more about him than Dessers. Love Dessers but I think I am biased because my brother lives in Holland and they are great people and I am sorry it never runs for him. Good luck tomorrow everybody for Rangers and Luton Town. We have a great new stadium being built in the centre of Town right now so maybe one day we can see the red, white and blue supporters come and visit us in Europe one day. 2027

@@lofatmat Watched Colin Stein score 60 goals for Rangers from 1968 to 1972. If Dessers can do the same then well done to him. Been there, seen it and watched better players for Rangers before you were born.
@@se7enmax Born in early 60's nobody mentioned about comparing Dessers to greats like Colin Stein of the past my friend however in the here and now Dessers is like marmite to our fans as some carry his misses in their heads regardless of his hits! Each game has it's own story to be made let's hope the players believe in themselves and their team mates and go out there and bring joy and success for us all?

CJ are you telling us that some people are pulling you up for your pronunciation of Hamza Igamane's surname? If that's the case then you could be forgiven for thinking we were top of the league, playing exciting attacking football and in the European Cup.....
Anyways, my choice for a starting 11 will, i believe, be different to Clement's.
I've said before and will again; I was brought up to believe that you ALWAYS start your strongest 11, then if players who are not match fit etc need to be subbed at halftime or whenever, then you do it, but these days it seems to be "depending on the opposition" and that's wrong to me, because as I said, you play your STRONGEST 11..... REGARDLESS of the opposition.
So MY starting 11 would be;
Butland, Sterling, Soutar, Propper, Jefte
Barron, Raskin and Bajrami (No. 10 role)
Cortes (left) Cerny (right)
Igamane.
What i think Clement's starting 11 will be;
Butland, Taverneir*, Soutar, Jefte.
Barron, Diomande**, Lawrence.
Bajrami (left) Cerny (right)
Dessers.
*The definition of insanity is to try the same thing over and over again and expect a different result.
I've seen enough of Taverneir this year that IMHO he wouldn't be in the squad for tomorrow. His performances have, at best, been lack lustre, and at worst, downright woeful. He hasn't earned and therefore, doesn't deserve a place in the squad. I'm sick of Bears saying "aye but look at what he's done for us"... what, lifted only 3 trophies? There's an old adage in football that says "you are only as good as your last game" and if you apply that to Taverneir then you have to go back a way to find his last good game.
So he should give Dujon or even Neray the starting jersey tomorrow.
**i didn't have Diomande in my starting 11 only because with the Europa League game on Thursday we have cover in there that we can afford to give him a rest.
As you say CJ, Clement needs to give us something to be excited about from the START and a young, attack minded forward line would be a great place to start. .
I'm going for 2-0 but if he starts that young, attack minded forward line then it could be 4 or 5.
Agreed but I think diomande would be better than raskin especially with a solid right back like sterling and a better playmaker infront of him bajrami
@Bluesea1690 I can't argue with you there mate, I like Diomande, I was just thinking that putting him on the bench might give him a rest. Having said that, you've made me realise they I have contradicted myself by saying "always start with your strongest 11" then leaving him out of it. So yeah, Diomande in from the start. He can always be subbed at halftime if we have complete control of the game and scoreline.

We have a very young team could have done with maybe a midfielder with experience just to fill the place with confidence. Only downfall will be tav starting every match until the penny drops and he costs us more points

I know Clement has a ‘one game at a time’ mantra… but let’s be honest, it’s important we’re building (by winning) towards Aberdeen and the next old firm.
Bring the new lads into the squad. I doubt it’ll be all at once (definitely not PC’s way) but be peaking, or damn close by the end of October (please)!

Back at Ibrox . I rockon Igamane gets his start and an hour to see if he can get the monkey off his back and break his duck . I reckon Tom Lawrence goes again from the start in the 10 role ..because he was half decent last week and because ..Clement has sent him out to do the presser today which is a wee nod ahead of Bajrami for me .He may or not start on the left . Kasanwirjo will make his debut ..so I reckon Tav is getting a bench day .. . Enough there to scud Dundee 4 to zip set up another visit to Hampden and then cast our eyes to the mighty Malmo for a wee revenge mission 3 years on from our CL eviction. WATP !!!

@@cjnovo992 he’s done relatively well there, but I like him further forward because he spreads the opposition defence so well, if you’re a full back you’d dread playing him. I’m not a big fan of Cortes and I feel Fraser would take the opportunity if he was given a chance. If Jefte starts at LB I wouldn’t mind though, we’ve got bigger problems elsewhere in terms of selection😅

One thing I've noticed is that we don't work hard enough off the ball. We don't create enough space for movement to play quick passes. Hopefully a younger,more quicker side can be more fluid. Although I'm not convinced with the Belgian Waffler.

@the12thman63 watching champions league highlights I've noticed that all the hard work is off the ball and knowing where runs are being made makes it so much easier to play the 1st time pass. I thought this was what Clement meant by being fitter and being more robust. You don't have to be technically gifted when the hard work is done off the ball.

@@Disco_Beaver Absolutely, I feel exactly the same way. You can make up for a lack of skill/technique by getting stuck in and pressing the opposition too. There is certainly a lack of movement in the final third, something Cantwell was pretty good at. Hagi was pretty good at picking out a difficult pass and making it connect but that was a long time ago.

Not really getting the Lawrence hate to be honest lol, he’s a great player if used correctly. He’s pretty clearly only got 1 good half of football in him, so dunno why Clement insists on playing him for 90 mins
