I had no idea that these things even existed. I totally want one. I've been needing to get a new Wacom pad for years. This is, quite possibly, the ultimate one.
I have the iPad Pro, but like you mentioned, it doesn't run Windows, so we get dumbed down versions of Photoshop etc. I really need to look at upgrading to a portable Wacom tablet (I do have an old Cintiq connected to my PC).
Would love to see a daily video on your experiences with the MobileStudio Pro. I've ordered the 16 inch. So, I'm curious to see how you're using and enjoying it every day.
After having the Cintiq Companion, I stopped using it cause it was just too small to work on for longer periods and larger files. I would love to try the 16 though.
hello, I was just wondering, is there any stores where i can purchase the Microsoft surface book in japan? they dont have the book varient in thailand.
Sam Adams at this rate, the Surface Studio or the Surface Book is infinitely better. Almost all of Wacom's products are ridiculously priced and underwhelming.
Flotts Gryffin I still prefer Wacom just because I really don't want to work with another setup (I like my wacom pen and hotkeys.) But I hope Microsoft encourages them to be more competitive!
your videos on the MSP have been so useful! without the testing video, i would have dropped the extra 500 bucks on the 16" one. it was much bigger than I was expecting tho, so I'm gonna get the 13". Thanks for saving me money, dude!
1. Difference between i5 and i7 is not just the frequency but i7's core is also faster 2. The back camera is usually used as a camscanner I use mine on vaio as a scanner
+Rian P I'll be keen to see how they compare in real world use because according to spec charts the i5 and i7 offer very little difference in terms of performance
NihongoGamer I think there wouldn't be much difference between i5 and i7 in real world performance, especially as a graphic designer. I have the exact same laptop as my sister's she has the i7 model and I have the i5 but I notice no difference. Even people used to suggest i5 over the i7 for power efficiency but as it's a skylake intel, i7 would be as efficient as i5.
NihongoGamer and Nice video as always! I would love to see your drawing, you have so many professional devices but I didn't see much of your drawing. Do you post it somewhere?
Rian P The only real difference between an i5 and an i7 is the introduction of hyperthreading. there are plenty of i5s more powerful than half of the spectrum of i7s...
HI NihongoGamer, Thanks for the unboxing and looking forward to your full review of the device. Want to ask if you will be share a little about the screen's durability. Am wondering if a screen protector will be required though it may add some parallax?
Really want one but it’s too expensive. I already have a Intuos pro but I like to draw while lying down or sitting down somewhere comfortably instead of sitting down on a bloody chair for hours that hurts my butt. The iPad Pro is also an option. I use Sai and I’m already used to it so using another art program might be a bit confusing for me. Should I try and save up for this, an iPad Pro or something else/just stick with the Intuos pro? Need opinions thanks a lot!!🙂🙂
Thx was wondering about the pen holder, and love how you reduced it to nonsense. I get what they were trying to do, but the side location is just wrong, maybe on top would haver been better
I Love my Cintiq Companion 2. They fixed the power cable from the first one! I mod'd my Interior with Grizzly Kryonaut Ceramic Thermal paste fot the i7 CPU, K5 Pro Thermal Conductive Viscous Gel on the GPU and ARTIC Ice Thermal pads on the RAM, SSD, ETC. It runs like a Dream with an intel i7 and 16GB of ram. The fan almost never turns on. I thought I would feel jealous, but I don't at all! I think it looks more flimsy to me.. The usable screen area is the same size as the companion 2, same amount, it has no nice 3 level stand, no screen mouse included , no 3 full size USB 3 ports. Can you even use it as a Monitor/Pen for a Desktop? OR hook a monitor etc and use it AS a deskrop? Anyways, my Companion 2 with i7, and 512GB is the Real workstation, especially now that it's Thermally Modded!
Do you think the two 16" models are that much different? The lower specs one is available now in the US and I don't know how much longer I can wait for the other one?
Great videos. I'm going with the 16!! Can't wait. Now you just need to add a cc glove (Dokiwear) and stand (Flipsteady). I've already contacted Flipsteady and they are making new stands for the release. Woot!!
Great unboxing! Recently discovered this channel You mentioned that the iPad is quite capable when it comes to drawing. But I keep hearing about its screen being glassy and too smooth. Does Mobile Studio have this paper-like feel when you draw? Cause in my book that alone puts it way ahead of iPad Pro
Hi man, nice review. Is it heavier, same weight or lighter than Wacom Companion? And battery life? (I know the 16" has only 3 hours) And... NO KEYBOARD???? :/
Beautiful unboxing! If at some point while drawing on the screen you could do an over the shoulder recording that would be *amazing*. So many in app recordings don't capture the latency and feel of how it is for the actual hand on the screen. (Seriously, just you drawing for any good length of time would be so incredibly useful to other potential purchasers)
SUBSCRIBED. Would be nice to see a dB test of fan noise & Photoshop cursor lag? Also studio pro vs companion 2? (you are probably planning to make one already?)
Lionel Thomas Yes, I use PHOTODON, They make perfect screen protector. I actually tore off the original 'protector' it came with, which made everything look, spread out and occluded, underbeath is tge sgaroest, most amazing sharp screen you can imagine. Photodon was a perfect replacement.
Angel K. I tore that terrible Matte layer off, underneath is an AMAZINGLY sharp gorgeous screen, I reapplied a Diamond Clear Photodon Protector for the model. Like getting a new device!
Still waiting for this to release in the US. I think they intend to release it after Black Friday and Cyber Monday so my guess is next Tuesday. I can't wait to see a review from you, are you going to test any 3D programs?
just released a video today testing Zbrush briefly but I don't really do much 3D modeling myself. I can say that Zbrush runs nice and smoothly even on the 13" model with i7 but I probably wasn't pushing it very hard.
I watched the video, thanks love your reviews. I subscribed. I also ordered my Mobile Studio Pro through amazon, they are offering two year accident warranty for about $40 usd. I got the same version, 13 inch standard 256gb. But I have to wait until amazon has it in stock.
I don't know why I love watching your videos. But I know I'm enjoying it. (Does it makes sense at all?) NihongoGamer sama, I have a question if I'm going to buy a wacom which would you suggest? I really can't decide which to buy. たすけて ください!
Nihongo! I hope you can answer this question. I've been comparing the cintiq and the ipad for soo long, but i STILL dont know which one to buy... most people thinks that the ipad is a better device for drawing, but in the other hand the rest of them thinks that the cintiq is better for it's professional qualities... can the ipad be as professional as the wacom cintiq?
+M Molinaro iPad is great for casual drawing and illustration but I haven't met any professionals who do their paid work on iPad Pro. iPad is very powerful of course, but if you plan to use it as a tool for getting pod work done I'd still personally have a Wacom Cintiq or a Waco tablet like MobileStudio instead :)
Love my Companion 2, top model, too bad the battery is kind of crappy but other than that I love just pulling it out of my bag and start my design work and illustrations on that thing. It's slowly taking over my macbook pro as my daily driver.
I'm trying to decide between this and the companion 2. The 13 inch 256 GB mobile studio is the same price as the 512 GB companion 2 right now... I know the mobile studio has like 8000 pressure sensitivity and more battery and etched glass 😵 but do I need it?! not sure what's better for me. I'm a 2D animator student so I wanted something for school but ahhhh i can't decide between them uguuu....help me Senpai ! I definitely want the ability to use it as a normal cintiq on my computer but the mobile studio doesn't have that yet ugh!!!
+Katimations I don't think it's wise to buy the Companion 2 when Wacom has the successor out. Wacom has a history of dropping support/drivers for tablets the older they are. Also, Companion had a proprietary power plug which was prone to getting damaged. Rather than a huge SSD I'd recommend just putting a big SD card in and leaving it there :) check out the full review video I did as well
Hi nihongo. Nice video. I just received mine, 16" model. I notice a bit of backlight bleed on it. Since I had the same issue on my first companion, im wondering if you have the same. Im thinking about returning mine, but if it's a common trait of every single device, maybe ill think twice. Thanks for your future answer !
+Lucas Lengagne Very interesting! On the black login screen I see a minuscule amount of backlight coming in from the top right corner but I assumed that was pretty normal for these devices. How much light bleed do u get on the 16"?
NihongoGamer Hey :) thanks for you answer. Well, there's not a lot of it. It's on the upper left corner, on both corners, and on the bottom left corner, on both corners as well. It's quite discreet comparing to my companion. Not a huge bleed, but honestly for that price (3200 euros), I would expect the device to be without any defects. + I heard the bleed could get worse over time. My only concern is actually to replace it, and receive another one with other problems, bigger background bleed or some dead pixels. Im still wondering about what to do. And seeking some advices as well :) have a nice weekend.
And about the fact that it doesn't come with a stand and a pouch.. Ive been using wacom products for à decade and I love them. But I feel like wacom is more and more neglecting the customers. For the first companion, even the second, you had all those things. Now, none.ah yes ! three nibs.. ^^ We should stand up against this, as customers. This is clearly not acceptable. I almost want to give it back just because I dont feel much respected, as a customer who paid a fairly high amount of money for this device. Head of wacom marketing should rethink his strategy maybe.. On the long term, we will turn to other brands who treat us better. My two cents !
+Lucas Lengagne I think Wacom is struggling a bit but mostly because they don't know how to keep up with the pace of their competition. They still make the highest performing professional tablets in my opinion so I think that will keep them afloat, but they're finding it difficult to survive I think so they're trying to be as profitable as possible by cutting corners here and there. It's not ideal, but I'd rather buy their somewhat stingy products than see them disappear! They need to be more competitive though, let's hope they change :)
NihongoGamer Yep. Wacom reminds me of Blackberry in that they do the best in their field but if people stop buying their products, they will become obsolete. The main difference is Wacom is trying new stuff to compete while Blackberry couldn't adapt. Still, I hope Wacom doesn't disappear because they are the flagship of drawing tablets used in all sorts of visual media. Two popular tech trends I hate though are cloud based/lack of connectivity (glad that's not the case here) and second; providing the bare minimum in your purchase for what you need. Especially on items marketed closer to luxury. With items that are more luxury based, you expect all the bells and whistles with your purchase, or at the very least, a couple of extras tossed in such as stand and variety of nibs (or even a proof of purchase registration in which you can pick a few extra nibs of your choice to be sent to you for free). Keeping my fingers crossed that they manage to stay afloat!
Any Idea if the New Wacom pen is compatible with older Cintiq models? Like the 27 QHD? I´d really like to benefit from that extra sensitivity... just wondering if it may be possible.
I was able to try this out and they are not compatible. I have an Intous Pro 5 and now have the Mobile Studio Pro 13. The pen from the Intuos Pro 5 works on the Mobile Studio Pro but the Pro Pen 2 from the Studio Pro does not work on the Intuos. I believe the 27 QHD uses the same pen as the Intuos Pro 5.
After installing Adobe Photoshop or the Adobe software. How much HDD are you left with? I'm wondering between the 128 GB or the 256 GB Mobile Studio Pro
I was very close to buying the 128gb but I realized that often I have 2 or 3 video editing projects running at the same time and although I can use an external ssd it's just not ideal so that's why I went with the 256gb. A huge premium cost but probably one that will be worthwhile in the long run.
Is the 128 GB model not have expandable storage? how is the battery life? I think I will just be using it for Photoshop and Clip Studio for painting and drawing. I still can use my Macbook Pro for Video Editing and have it as my main Laptop
+ShadowKage I'm not sure how you mean expandable storage. I can't open my unit up without ruining the 1 year warranty but essentially your best option to "expand" the storage is to buy a big SD card and leave it in the SD card slot permanently :) battery life is nothing special. It'll survive a long session at a cafe but not a full 8 hour working day ;)
Good review... have been waiting for this video... I wonder if you're going to also buy and do the review of 16" model... If I'm going to buy Mobile Studio, I think I'm going to buy the cheapest model... since I only need the Cintiq mode... unless of course, if Wacom release an update of Cintiq 13HD.
+Caseko CSK Cintiq 13hd will be replaced by Cintiq Pro 13 but it's the same screen resolution. If I were buying a desktop cintiq I'd go for the 4K 16" Cintiq Pro
Cintiq Pro 13 will have same resolution as Cintiq 13 HD? Which is 1920x1080? Seriously? Do we still live stone age, Wacom (dramatization)... Well then, I hope the price would be much cheaper than current 13HD...
Thanks for the videos. Very informative! If at all possible.. please update us on the cursor lag issue and maybe doing a battery and fan noise test in a quiet environment would be nice.
Would be awesome to see a first reactions video after having it for a day or two. I have one on pre-order at B&H Photo in the US so this would keep me calm until it arrives :-)
NihongoGamer Interesting implementation. So most plug sockets in japan don't have grounding? Sorry but I'm too used to the UK type plugs we have here in SG...
I'm quite bitter about it. Considering the tuition, money spent on books and the time and then realising all you get for it is a piece of paper when you could have poured all that time and money in doing your own thing. Some studies are useful, but most are just a hoax really.
+Jake Ruff I have a video where I tested Zbrush. Worked perfectly well for me though I'm not a "power user" when it comes to 3d. If your apps need a discrete graphics card you'll be better with the 16" model.
for the same price as the lowest model mobile studio 13 I can get the highest tier companion 2 with i7 512gb storage and 16gb of ram. which should I get. I do a bit of 3d modeling so I feel the companion 2 is better.
MSP connects to any PC with display-capable USB-C ports as long as you have a USB-C cable. If your PC is not USB-C then you'll have to wait until mid December when Wacom plans to release the wacom link accessory
+DigitalBerserk I can confirm that, yes, this does work. If the pen is hovering near the screen you can still move the canvas using your other hand. I had to lift my palm off screen to make "rotate" work, but with my palm resting on screen and the pointer near the screen surface I was able to use one finger of my left hand to move the canvas in clipstudio paint
NihongoGamer Thats awesome, thasnk you for the reviews, im interested in the cintiq pro 16, i have a 22hd right now, im interested in the pixel density and colors.
I think the Cintiq Companion Hybrid is still a very useful device since it has a battery. If you own a light computer like MacBook Air 11" and a Companion Hybrid you can work in a cafe on battery power only which is a very powerful set up :)
Yes the battery that is what im afraid, but for now its healty, i use the android mode for watch my emails and stuff not too much for draw becouse i have not find any app that fits me. I normaly work on my desktop pc computer whit photoshop and it does very well, have some issues with the touch kind of thing... so i turn it of, by the way i have a friend working in the industry and he was wroking long time on a 13 hd pluged to a mac book and needles to say works very very good. Thank you for the quick answer, and keep up the good work.
$3000 seems way too expensive in my opinion. Would you rather build a Gaming/Productivity PC that cost $1,500 or cheaper and buy Wacom Intuos Pro or get this for $3000
Please, could you help me, can I connect my Wacom MobileStudio Pro 16” to external monitor. I have monitor 32” and I would want to have my Wacom drawing on external monitor. Thank you so much …
Hello my friend! Can you give a review about the new Wacom device? In a format of your previous video "iPad Pro vs Cintiq - COMPARISON + Drawing Test", but comparing with Cintiq, please.
+Billy Herrington Planning a review but haven't had enough time with it yet. Still got my day job to contend with >_< but I'm planning on doing an FAQ video soon since the "review" will take longer
+Falcryx I'll be doing tests soon but so far the lag seems much shorter. I think the demo models weren't updated to the latest drivers. Stay tuned for more in depth testing :)
+Falcryx One of the wacom representatives commented on the subject on Nihongogamer's last video. He said the lag is due to the hand stabilizer of the app being turned on. Switching it off should remove the lag.
Exactly this. Many people dont understand that many apps use hand stabilizer algorithms , especially apps like clip studio. Photoshop does that also but not as much. If you have ever used Lazy Nezumi for Photoshop you know what it does, its trying to smooth out the movement from your hand, so you are basically "dragging" the brush after you, as if it was attached to a line. If you had a perfect 1:1 for your strokes, you would also get the imperfections in the stroke, and many people dont like it when they try to do clean line art. If you use a regular tablet, you dont notice it because you are not looking at your hand, but there is "lag" there too.
Congrats on getting it! And thanks for that in store comparison I'm personally leaning toward the 16 inch. If you still have your iPad Pro could you do a size comparison and let us know after you've used it how noisy it is?
For very light drawing it's often completely silent but for slightly more taxing stuff it turns the fans on at a low setting but no louder than you'd expect of an external hard disk. I just posted a new video today with a sound comparison :)
+RZetlin I don't have extensive experience with SP4 but I tried and tested it at launch in 2015 and basically the MSP is a no-compromise machine. SP4 is lighter, cheaper and has a pen with weird jitter and lag issues but offers great value. MSP is more expensive but as a result offers the power and potential to get stuff done faster and with fewer excuses :)
I think the iPad Pro is a great device for hobbyists who want great performance and high pen accuracy. I would only get the MobileStudio Pro if you feel your art can help you recoup the cost of buying it :)
Hello NihongoGamer, congrats for your MobileStudio Pro! :) I really want it. Bro I need to know something, maybe you or someone here can answer my doubt, the thing is I can't afford the last 13" model (16gb 512SSD + 3d Camera), so I was planning to buy the one before, I mean the i7 model with 8ram and 256SSD, but add by my own 8GB of ram more, because I need to run 3d programs like zbrush, so, do you know if it is possible? I mean, has the model with 256 SSD an extra socket to add ram? or can I change the 8gb memory for a 16gb memory? I remember Companion 2 had two sockets for ram and can use laptop memory, so that's why my curiosity. Thank you :)
I don't know of anyone who's opened the MSP up yet. Your best bet to wait and see if TheCGalchemist buys one and opens it up. He tends to make great videos about deconstructing the wacom products and upgrading them :)
This is just great, a 3000 dollar device and they didn't include a bloody plastic stand.
Nor the converter to plug it in as a display.. And they only give you 3 nibs. Laughable.
it's unlikely that people who never owned a wacom buy this as their first device and or the stands are cheap
Hokunin the companion 2 had a case and a keyboard too...
No stand with a graphics tablet? That costs so much? The fuck, Wacom.
its mobile its not realy mean for being in one place
I had no idea that these things even existed. I totally want one. I've been needing to get a new Wacom pad for years. This is, quite possibly, the ultimate one.
*Man what a time to be a broke artist :D*
I feel you. And there's no way in hell I'll get a Surface instead of this. Wacom is just the god of all graphic tablets!
aiSoju I always wanted a Cintiq but now that I've witnessed this.. I definitely want this now
***** I know!! Me too! :(( It's just beautiful!
well a quadro gpu is pretty nice too
haha so true. So pricey. I'm aiming for either the 22HD or 27HD cintiqs for now
best wacom unboxing i've seen lol. Can't wait for the review!
Watching your unboxings and reviews helps me keep feel calm and relaxed for some reason... Keep up the great work!

hey i love your reviews! im always surprised of what you will review next, never the less its always completely informative so thankyou so much!
Awesome unboxing video dude, can't wait to have a play with this device. Pretty incredible specs on the 16!
hello, I was just wondering, is there any stores where i can purchase the Microsoft surface book in japan? they dont have the book varient in thailand.
Orpheus! Online ones.
I believe Thailand, like the Philippines, does not carry the Surface book. So buy at your own risk as service centers will not be available.
Thinking of either buying the 16 inch model of wacom mobile studio pro or the macbook pro 15 inch.
Wow... so you pay $3000 and they don't even give you the connector module and the stand. Nice.
Sam Adams at this rate, the Surface Studio or the Surface Book is infinitely better. Almost all of Wacom's products are ridiculously priced and underwhelming.
Flotts Gryffin I still prefer Wacom just because I really don't want to work with another setup (I like my wacom pen and hotkeys.) But I hope Microsoft encourages them to be more competitive!
their pens still beat the shit out of apple's or microsofts, e.g. rotation sensitivity, hovering, custom nibs, surface feeling etc.
you could literally buy a laptop and a tablet with a screen for that much jeez
Sam Adams you don't need the connector though, the whole point of a graphics tablet computer
I must have had my head in the ground because I had no idea this was coming out! Subbed and looking forward to watching more of your videos.
please update us on the lag issue and the overall performance please
In love by the way you talk and be excited about it! It's so cute ^-^
Oh god I laughed so much at 4:15. Great review! I'll probably end up buying the 13 inch when they get released in my country.

when are they coming out with the stand? And will you get one and do a review on? From what I heard about the Companion 2's, it sucked pretty bad.

It's quite paper-like but I imagine it's even more paper like if you use the felt nibs which I haven't tried yet.
Would this be good for editing photography? And if not, what would you recommend?
Hi man, nice review.

Very much planning on doing just this :)
SUBSCRIBED. Would be nice to see a dB test of fan noise & Photoshop cursor lag?

If I buy this marvel, first thing i'll do : protect the screen...
Lionel Thomas
It has a matte like screen, so it doesn't need a screen protector... but if you want, you can put one xD

Love your videos so much man, always enjoy watching your tech type videos
Your art is really cute, so happy for you.
I have an older Wacom but can't draw :/
How do you prevent scratching the screen with the pen?
This is my first wacom cintiq style tablet that doesn't have a screen protector so after I do some reviews I'll probably put a protective film on it
NihongoGamer I would :) I'd cry if it scratched.
I don't know why I love watching your videos. But I know I'm enjoying it. (Does it makes sense at all?)
NihongoGamer sama, I have a question if I'm going to buy a wacom which would you suggest? I really can't decide which to buy.

iPad is great for casual drawing and illustration but I haven't met any professionals who do their paid work on iPad Pro. iPad is very powerful of course, but if you plan to use it as a tool for getting pod work done I'd still personally have a Wacom Cintiq or a Waco tablet like MobileStudio instead :)
Hmm, alright!! Thanks for your attention :))
Nice review
how much did you pay and what's the cost of cintiq companion 2 in Japan?
+roopak raj
I paid 267,000 jpy. About a million times more expensive than it costs in America :(
I'm getting MobileStudio Pro, but I don't know if I should get 13" or 16". Can you suggest me which one shall I pick?
quick "silly" question what does dthw1302l mean??
hi! where buy protector film for Mobile Studio pro 13,3"online for Spain?
I love the way you make your clip, thanks.❤️👍🏼
cab you download medibang paint onto this? thank you for your response and this video!
This is what I plan to grab once it comes out! I hope it comes out soon for canada!
Can't wait for mine! Canada gets it this Wednesday!
Ordered the 16" since I had a 13" laptop lol... I don't know why.
What's the nice guitar song you have in the background!
+Katimations
I don't think it's wise to buy the Companion 2 when Wacom has the successor out. Wacom has a history of dropping support/drivers for tablets the older they are. Also, Companion had a proprietary power plug which was prone to getting damaged. Rather than a huge SSD I'd recommend just putting a big SD card in and leaving it there :) check out the full review video I did as well
is there anything that works just like this but isn't this? because the price is a bit high
Hi nihongo. Nice video. I just received mine, 16" model. I notice a bit of backlight bleed on it. Since I had the same issue on my first companion, im wondering if you have the same. Im thinking about returning mine, but if it's a common trait of every single device, maybe ill think twice. Thanks for your future answer !
+Lucas Lengagne
Very interesting!
+Lucas Lengagne
I think Wacom is struggling a bit but mostly because they don't know how to keep up with the pace of their competition.
Man, you are brave. I realized WACOM makes great tablet instead of computer( laptop or whatever) after buying cintiq companion2.
Forgive my ignorance but just to make sure before I buy, does it still work as a typical tablet when it's plugged in a computer?
+Thanos Tsilis
It does yes. You can use the built in computer or connect it to a PC/Mac using USB-C and use it as a standard Cintiq :)
can you use it as a Cintiq with a more powerful computer ?
if it possible to change the SSD ?
+Caseko CSK
Cintiq 13hd will be replaced by Cintiq Pro 13 but it's the same screen resolution. If I were buying a desktop cintiq I'd go for the 4K 16" Cintiq Pro
NihongoGamer
Nah, the price tag is simply impossible for me... for that amount of money, I would just pick Cintiq 27 instead...
Cintiq Pro 13 will have same resolution as Cintiq 13 HD? Which is 1920x1080? Seriously? Do we still live stone age, Wacom (dramatization)... Well then, I hope the price would be much cheaper than current 13HD...
I have fallen in love! But I wonder if it will be perfect for 3D sculpting on sculptris D:
Hey buddy, Are you going to do a S&M Review?!
KennethMichaels sadomasochism??
looks sweet! too bad its so expensive. Might save up for it though.
Man.. I know nothing about drawing/working on these kind of equipment.. Still this video is very entertaining hahah Nice work!!
can you please do a setup video and reviewing it?! PLEASE!! thank you!
just found your channel. subbed. you are amazing. and do you live in japan?
Thanks for the videos. Very informative! If at all possible.. please update us on the cursor lag issue and maybe doing a battery and fan noise test in a quiet environment would be nice.
+Shingobingo
I put a fan noise test on twitter @NihongoGamer. It's dead silent in idle mode :)
Would be awesome to see a first reactions video after having it for a day or two. I have one on pre-order at B&H Photo in the US so this would keep me calm until it arrives :-)
3 mins into the video... i realized i watched this before... and im watching it again...
+Darwin Perez
I do that with so many of my fav channels :)
Why does the plug that came with yours have an extra yellow wire?
+Kevin Bhasi
It's a hangover from the days when Japanese plugs had grounding like UK plugs.
NihongoGamer
Interesting implementation. So most plug sockets in japan don't have grounding? Sorry but I'm too used to the UK type plugs we have here in SG...
i want this. but prolly cost more in my country.. 😢
Fience Gerald costs more than my life
captainKaP it also cost more than my college tuition :(
It costs exactly one year of tuition here. I consider tuition less valuable than having the right equipment.
BaileysBeads i know right
I'm quite bitter about it. Considering the tuition, money spent on books and the time and then realising all you get for it is a piece of paper when you could have poured all that time and money in doing your own thing.
Some studies are useful, but most are just a hoax really.
Can the 13 inch handle 3D applications like Zbrush, Maya and CAD? I know the 16 inch has different specs.
+Jake Ruff
I have a video where I tested Zbrush.
Froggerdog Companion 2.
Hi, I was check in bic camera, but they dont have wacom link, how you connect to computer?
MSP connects to any PC with display-capable USB-C ports as long as you have a USB-C cable. If your PC is not USB-C then you'll have to wait until mid December when Wacom plans to release the wacom link accessory
thanks for response, is it mean usb-C to usb-C, do usb-C to Hdmi adapter can work? my laptop has hdmi. Thanks a lot for advance
Test using your hand at same time with the pen, they claim you can use both at same time, is this true?
+DigitalBerserk
I can confirm that, yes, this does work. If the pen is hovering near the screen you can still move the canvas using your other hand. I had to lift my palm off screen to make "rotate" work, but with my palm resting on screen and the pointer near the screen surface I was able to use one finger of my left hand to move the canvas in clipstudio paint
Update: I somehow changed a few settings and now i can pan/rotate with left hand even while right palm is rest on the screen with pen hovering close.
NihongoGamer Thats awesome, thasnk you for the reviews, im interested in the cintiq pro 16, i have a 22hd right now, im interested in the pixel density and colors.
I think in the EU it's mandatory for products to have a 2 year warranty? Anyone?
Mobile as in no you can use it without a desktop?
WHEN CAN I BUY IT.
Hi, i recently buy a wacom cintiq companion hybrid, i know its desserialized but im very happy whit it, any thougts or advice. Thanks.
I think the Cintiq Companion Hybrid is still a very useful device since it has a battery. If you own a light computer like MacBook Air 11" and a Companion Hybrid you can work in a cafe on battery power only which is a very powerful set up :)
Though I can't confirm myself that this works because I don't own the Hybrid. MacBook Air sometimes cannot use an external display without AC power.
Thank you so much …
how much space is user available out of 256 GB ??
Awesome Device, i'm still satisfied with my Cintiq Companion Hybrid though.
it is a DTH-W1320M versión?
Hello my friend! Can you give a review about the new Wacom device? In a format of your previous video "iPad Pro vs Cintiq - COMPARISON + Drawing Test", but comparing with Cintiq, please.
+Billy Herrington
Planning a review but haven't had enough time with it yet. Still got my day job to contend with >_< but I'm planning on doing an FAQ video soon since the "review" will take longer
what do u do for living i never saw anything of your work
TheBlackbirdii he's an english teacher in Japan I Guess..
awsmjayloser oh no.... salary man is a hard job in Japan...
+TheBlackbirdii I've done teaching before but currently I'm in video editing/production
How exactly does your increment in productivity offsets the $3k investment as a graphic designer?
does this really not have a usb type a port? I can't use my wacom ek remote with it?
ArtOptimist I think it has usb c so with an adapter (cheap) you could.
Damn, lucky!! Does it still have cursor lag?
If you use a regular tablet, you dont notice it because you are not looking at your hand, but there is "lag" there too.
and what do you think about MICROSOFT PRO 4 12.3" 256GB INTEL SURFACE CORE i7 16GB WINDOWS 10 PRO??
Congrats on getting it! And thanks for that in store comparison I'm personally leaning toward the 16 inch. If you still have your iPad Pro could you do a size comparison and let us know after you've used it how noisy it is?
For very light drawing it's often completely silent but for slightly more taxing stuff it turns the fans on at a low setting but no louder than you'd expect of an external hard disk. I just posted a new video today with a sound comparison :)
how much would cost one?
How does it compare to the Surface Pro 4?
+RZetlin
I don't have extensive experience with SP4 but I tried and tested it at launch in 2015 and basically the MSP is a no-compromise machine. SP4 is lighter, cheaper and has a pen with weird jitter and lag issues but offers great value. MSP is more expensive but as a result offers the power and potential to get stuff done faster and with fewer excuses :)
use the 84watt apple usb c charger for the macbook pro 15 retina 2016 it work like a tablet
Turn the unit on. Btw you can get the apple use charger which is more compact
I'm not a professional artist should I buy this or ipad pro 9.7
I think the iPad Pro is a great device for hobbyists who want great performance and high pen accuracy. I would only get the MobileStudio Pro if you feel your art can help you recoup the cost of buying it :)
NihongoGamer thanks for the info
Well done. Thank you for the presentation. It was very helpful!
