The industry puts backing behind the artist they feel people would embrace, however they have been known to be wrong, and in this case they are.
As a Black American, I did see Tyla doing things similarly to Ayra...and I have no bias, just noticed and figured that in the end it'd work for Tyla more due to colorism.
How can Tyla be the blueprint when Ayra was doing it first. The privilege that made her mediocre song go viral, and that got her a Grammy without an album, can't invalidate Ayra's work.

I am happy for Tyla's success, but there is a push from mainstream media to make her the poster child of ALL Afrobeats music. She just came out with ONE album. Also, mainstream media is making her the representation for ALL of Africa, even though 90% of the continent doesn't even look like her. Again, they rather have anyone that is NOT black. There is an erasure of black music...and black people going on. These African artists better pushback against this. 💯

Both of the ladies are good singers. But my introduction to them really showed me my favorite. You made a pretty good comparison. Those songs that you chose were the first songs I ever heard from each artist. For me personally, RUSH is a very interesting song. The first time I heard it, I was moved and i was hyped.

Tyla is an industry plant…just a song under normal circumstances can’t make you a global icon
People love to gloss over the privilege. The current biggest African artist is a light skinned, mixed Indian girl (yes she’s “colored” I get it). And that apparently doesn’t mean anything lol ok.
Also the fact that people were comparing her to Rihanna as soon as her song went viral was insane. There will never be another Rihanna and that’s okay. There will never be another Beyoncé, MJ, etc people need to stop comparing.

Both of the ladies are good singers. But my introduction to them really showed me my favorite. You made a pretty good comparison. Those songs that you chose were the first songs I ever heard from each artist. For me personally, RUSH is a very interesting song. The first time I heard it, I was moved and i was hyped. Folks told her not to marry that felon in the first place.
Yh I seen it a while ago when they were dating
@@ivythegreat4943 holy moly. I don’t know why I’m surprised but I am. First time hearing about this
Empressive videos are like no one else’s💯 The voice and info👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Yup, and I see alot of bloggers following her, she's the blueprint
@@kemzyacco5629She’s not
So true… touring is very, very rough on the body, mind and emotions. Love that MJ video, thanks for including it.
Ayra Star is her own person, plus she was popping before Tyla came about so
Same thing I’ve been saying
Nicki is human. People seem to forget that.
People forget because she’s rude and acts like nobody else around her is as well
Meg wasn't treated like a human being and now you want to give Nick's sympathy. PLZ
When folks are going through things, she laughs, so now she should get grace? She laughed at Cardi when she was crying and going through what she was with Offset.

The Ayra + Tyla collab is one if my favorite songs, I’ve love to see them drop more together! And I love Ayra’s deep sultry voice 😍
That Ayra and Tyla segment was soooo tired! Stan twitter needs to undergo a psych evaluation.
Right 😭😭 I lost brains cells fr
Tyla used to be a fan of Ayrra star before she came to limelight, what's the nonsense fuse about. Y'all stream "the year I turned 21" for clear skin
Even though this video focuses on tyla and Ayra, I don’t understand how people are so quick to say that Tyla is the blueprint from her style, music, dancing when homegirl just got here but at the same time say she is our new Rihanna. It also doesn’t help that she literally compared herself to Rih in an interview by saying that she wanted to be more bigger than Rihanna some day and that a lot of her inspiration comes from her.
Can u imagine 😂😂
she can never replace riri
Why was they playing with Michael like that.
Single Means;
"Single"!
She Is A Single Mother Now!
Michael said I’m going to speak my truth!!!!
I personally also think its a south Africa vs Nigerian thing, theres always been some bad blood between us😂😂
THISSS!!! 😂
That is fact
Exactly.
I think so too . Allegedly it stems from Nigerians when wanted to claim amapiano as their genre origin and using it to gain popularity.
@@King_T5 this goes way beyond just amapiano, if you will be honest, the xenophobic act, the "giant of Africa" beef etc.....there is just so much that is literally reflecting in anything that goes between the two countries.
god bless nickis heart❤
