Is it possible to completely upgrade storage by following: replace nand -> reflash in dfu mode ? Because i'd like to do like this on my own. (not neatly like you...)
They are not custom nands. They are new nands. Apple does not make nands. They are buying from toshiba, sandisk etc. The new nand installed is the same one Apple would use in their factory. In fact the larger a nand is, the greater the access speed. The 512GB nand is a lot faster than the original 64gb one.
