I'm from Coffeyville. I love my home but Coffeyville started dying in the 80's. By the ealry 90's it was dead. It went from having 5 elementary schools to having just 1 and it's located where the drive-in used to be. Sadly I only go home for funerals these days. I remember what Coffeyville used to be and it's not what this ad is portraying it to be. I love my home but sadly it's way past it's prime and can not be saved.
You need to get updated. Like many rural communities our hometown has suffered but it is not dead and there are very positive community and economic things being done. It takes time and money but it is happening.
Is it terrifying living somewhere like that? Surrounded by similar dying towns and with no prospect of escape? Genuinely curious. Looking on Google maps there's nothing in the town. Even the surrounding environment is just flat.... @@peggysteele-olson7439
I'm sure the location was given to a family member or a trusted friend. I doubt it's still hidden... I have gold silver and platinum hidden on my property and only one other person knows where it is. I also gave a verbal will to the people I plan on leaving some on taxed inheritance to.

The hospital can't even do a swab culture correctly...resulting in an incorrect diagnosis and literally over dosed a patient on chemotherapy that she later died from. You built your elementary school directly across the street from a super fund sight? What the hell is wrong with you people? You elected the rocket scientists who thought that was a good idea. If the town is so good why does your population continue to decline almost every year? Those fortunate enough to have a good local job do not even live there. A small town with less than 10 K people and you have how many 1 way streets? Sorry if this hurts your feelings. The whole point is just to say fix it and the town needs to live within its means.
