Thank you Errol Dunkley! You tell the truth about why Jamaican musicians so widely known are not getting their due in compensation. Harold Butler’s sister Val sent me an e-mail asking some pertinent questions about royalties and I was shocked that I of all people, a Jamaican writer, on public governance, did not have the answers for her questions as to whom they must get answers regarding publishing rights and royalties; I am as caught up those reggae musicians in production and not too much on management.

Jamaica was way ahead of it's time in the 60s and 70s. Jamaica took a turn for the worst when they elected a criminal called Seaga in 1980 and has not recovered
So true . The one great man Jamaica had was Marcus Garvey. Everything that man said and preach about has happened. And now look at my Parents country. It's owned now by China and the IMF.
Ken Boothe gets recognition in Reggae Industry for Everything I Own....But Errol Dunkley did Ok Fred ... top the National Charts in Britain... no recognition from Jamaican industry....
authentic selector You might be too young to remember but from 1967 thru 1973 Errol Dunkley was bigger than The Wailers and even Dennis Brown. 1970 was a big year for him. Listen to the interview. v
@@natty.roots.423 , you talk truth, there was a period in time if Errol didn't sing, Dennis and John holt wouldn't sing either. Dennis sing over a couple of his songs, I think next to Alton Ellis, this man was Dennis Brown's, favorite singer.
I enjoyed listening to Errol. I still have the LP OK Fred in a box in my garage. He tells it how it is as the creativity is lost to this generation. Even rap in America has turned in to kinda disgusting suck on this sort of bullshit. Think I will go listen to OK Fred now as that was a fun song.
Errol Dunkley is the real deal and the few great vocalist from back in the days of early 60s.
