This honestly took way more time than I intended to spend on it given that I know a lot of people will hate on this solely because they hate the show buuut BUT
I saw The Fellowship in the theaters when I was 7 or 8. When my peers were reading Harry Potter I was rereading LOTR every year. LOTR itself is a huge part of my life & I guess it pretty much formed my taste in everything else. And… I didn’t hate the show? Sure, the Arondir & Bronwyn plot is meh and Galadriel is... a mess here (though they did try to do some character growth with her and don’t get the hate for the actress). But the rest of it? I don’t mind Nori and Poppy basically being genderbend Frodo and Sam. The harfoots and Gandalf parts of the show were honestly AMAZING, I cried more than once, and The Wandering Day had me crying twice during what, 3 minutes? It brought so many warm childhood memories of LOTR for me. Eldrond and Durin? 100% Legolas and Gimli vibes AND I’M HERE FOR IT! We got Adar even though we never knew we needed him!
I loved Halbrand as Halbrand, and even though him being Sauron creates quite a few plot holes I guess I’m at a point in life where I just say, ‘Eh, so what?’ Because that show made me laugh, cry, made me feel good SO MANY TIMES that I cannot be bothered with nitpicking. It’s one of the only things that kept me going for the time of its run while the world around is becoming more and more Mordor-ish, so just let me enjoy this and don’t hate on the show in the comments, please. Thank you!
Oh and I don’t necessarily ship this, I just loved the dynamic and wanted to explore it. Bromance Eldrond & Durin + Legolas & Gimli vids is almost certainly coming as well, btw!

the way the music swells in their most emotional moments... perfect! "i still taste fire" is galadriel after coming close to him and going away. he left but she still has his fire and he her light

Loved the video! Everything you said in your description bar is how I feel about the show as well. Yeah, there's issues, but for the most part I really enjoyed the show.
That's honetsly so tiring, it's sad that for some the main point in life seems to be to pick fights and hate on things. But that's pretty much their loss, they're missing out on everything that makes this show very good, if not great.
When you know he is the bad guy and you know what he will do, the misery he causes
but can't be angry at them for knowing their story.
That's what I feel about Halbrand.

I personally love that they made him lovable? It makes the Sauron reveal tragic for the viewers, because Halbrand is pretty much dead/non-existent now. I was hoping he wouldn't be Sauron and would just turn out to be one of the future nazguls even though the show really wasn't that subtle about the Dark Lord hints. :( idk he just gave off Aragorn vibes. But once he droped the Halbrand act he was SO captivating and menacing. I'm torn. :D
@@Nishanth_mementomori I know, and I even said in the description I do not ship this. ;) And even if I did ship this, that honestly wouldn't bother me, shipping is supposed to be fun and can have literally nothing to do with canon, but if you have nothing better to do then sure, keep on going around trying to educate people.
@@ForsakenWwitchery But he did give subtle hints of who he was. He said, looks can be deceiving, he said he did evil in the past, he explained why he made the rings(going to), Celebrimbor quoted him about power,he even taught Celebrimbor the secret to craft the rings, and told him it was a gift. There was tons more if you actually look in between the lines of the context give throughout his conversations. I knew he was Sauron or at least the Witch King.
