Thanks for all the work to put this together. Love it. Well done.
Love it!!! More please...
fantastic piece of radio history. wish you had more.
Oh, My! They've got LASER HITS! I remember when CDs were so new and different that radio stations bragged about having them, as of course they made LPs seem so outdated. Now it's much cooler to brag that you're playing LPs!
How many iterations of the JAM "Hot KIIS" jingle package (especially the top of the hour bed/jingle) were on this aircheck? I counted about 30, but there could have been more!
Outstanding.
Another awesome collection. A few I recognize on here as well. 95Q in Charlotte, 98.7 Kiss FM in Greensboro, Rock 92 and G105 still exists.
Daniel Westfall true, rock 92 and KZL still there, other stations i remember listening to in the carolinas, and other areas close by:
WDCG (g105,) still there
WQDR (not mentioned here, but still around)
WTRG (oldies 100.7) no longer around
WMQX (oldies 93.1) online only
WWMG (magic 96.1) calls moved to alabama, now WHQC Channel 96 1
WKML still there, not mentioned here.
WQSM still around
WGCO (oldies 98.3) not there, now classic country,
WXLY (oldies 102.5) now y102.5,
WEZL still there
WOMG (oldies 103) now at 98.5, went through 2 format changes, now back as classic hits
WTCB (bright AC) now hot AC
so generally the triad, charlotte metro, the triangle, columbia SC, fayetteville/fort Bragg, Charleston Low Country, and Savannah GA. never or rarely made it past myrtle beach/conway, or the PD.
37:35 It’s Don Geronimo sans Mike O’Meara
