These were fantastic Bode! You are a wonderful cinematographer. I have watched a few other top surgery videos and none were as well put together. These were very seamless and calming. As well as super informative! I can't wait to have that weight lifted off of me. Thank you for making these.
Also, it was perfect timing because I was literally watching a surgery video when I received the notification about this video. Though that was a hysterectomy surgery video, but mine will be at the same time, so it all feels like preparing for one big surgery.
Em Noga Woah you’re getting top and hysto at the same time? That’s big yo! My main thing I’d think about then is getting in and out of bed. Because after my top surgery I had to use my abs and legs to get me out of bed, but after my hysto I had to use my arms to push me up because engaging my abs hurt too much. I actually slept on the couch at a 45 degree angle with a pillow throne for the first week after top surgery; that might be something for you to think about. Hope it all works out for you!
Yes it's a lot. It wasn't quite what I was looking for. I need a hysterectomy/oophorectomy for medical reasons. We came to this decision a week before my consult for top surgery. So they said I should see if the surgeon would be open to both at the same time in my case. After talking it over, they said it's nice to just have one recovery time and there isn't much difference since you are already under and they are both shorter surgeries. But yeah it is super daunting and the recovery is going to be rough. Everything people use for recover from both surgeries (arms/abs) is exactly what you can't use for each surgery. So I definitely don't know how I am going to do it. I know there are people who have done both and managed, but they are few and far between. It sounds like both of these providers have done both at the same time before. But I am pretty sure I am going to have to exist in a recliner or something. Still trying to figure out all of the logistics. I think a wedge pillow is definitely a must for this and just tons of pillows in general too. And a lot of help. But it is still so many unknowns.
this is fascinating but also horrifying? as a person who wants a flat chest and would probably get a double incision, i really appreciate the opportunity to fully comprehend and appreciate the surgery, gorey details and all. and there's something grossly satisfying about seeing that tissue lifted off.
I've watched the DI Live Surgery Video what seems like dozens of times now, so it's crazy that I happened to stumble on your "do I have regrets video" just now and then this one. Gonna be checking out your other videos now--I am also a Nonbinary person (not on T) and I have my top surgery virtual consult with Dr. Facque at the Gender Confirmation Center next week! I think it's incredible and speaks to Dr. Mosser's commitment to his work that he not only had the surgeries filmed, but gave the opportunity to do so to a trans cinematographer!
I don't think I'll head over to the full videos. Just the trailer was enough haha but it looks like you covered everything one would wanna see about such surgeries! One question tho: where did you get your jacket? It's amazing!!
@@mgriffinn27 fantastic! healing went well, I have a ton of sensation actually. i can feel basically all the skin and one of my nipples. my scar is flat everywhere but right in the center. ive had some skin stretching from activity, plus it wasnt very elastic to begin with. Ive had another friend go to him since then who also had good results.

Your jacket is amazing 😍😍 Also super grateful for these videos. I'm always trying to better educate myself about top surgery
